Personality: Much quieter than his sister, K'san is nearly every bit her opposite - While he's usually got a smile on his face, he's also not nearly as prone to pranks. Sometimes, though, the weight of what they do, and what can happen to them, gets to him and his music will take on a sombre tone as he works his way through his emotions.
He takes his duties seriously, doing his best to stay out of trouble. When not caring for Seth or fighting Thread, he'll relax against the wall near the ledge of Seth's weyr and practice his music. He does sometimes have trouble stepping away from his sister - He might be the older twin, but with his quieter self, he can find it hard to approach others. This causes him to cling to the few close bonds he's made past his sister and their dragons, relying rather heavily on Calliope's social skills to boost his own that are lacking.
One of the few things he shares in common with his sister is a joy in making up lewd little diddies, something he's noticed Thoth will project to everybody if he finds it particularly amusing. (Seth, K'san's own dragon, would not do such a thing). If Calliope has to transfer Weyrs to find peace with the rest of those around her about the fact she rides a brown, K'san would go with her in a heartbeat, both out of loyalty to his sister, and to keep knowingly using her as a crutch for his poor social skills.

History: Being twins, both Kousan and his sister, Calliope, were born at High Reaches Hold. They had a mostly typical childhood in a Hold, up until they got too old to keep easy track of. While his sister was prone to sneaking off to play pranks, Kousan spent far more time hanging around the Harpers, listening to them sing beyond just general lessons. If he wasn't doing that, he would go off and hum to himself.
When they were both old enough to start learning a craft, it was Kousan's joy of being around the Harpers that shaped where they went - Tightly loyal to each other, Calliope went where her brother would be happiest, at the Harper Hall. While Calliope was training mostly in the flute and singing, Kousan trained in any instrument he could get his hands on until he found his favorite - The gitar.
Before seemingly too long(Where did the Turns go?), they were sent back home to High Reaches Hold to walk the tables and prove they were worthy of the Harper craft. After all, what better place to try and restrain yourself than where people know you the best?
It was in this time that a Brown rider from High Reaches Weyr, out on Search, found the twins. Kousan was sure his sister had charmed the rider's great beast, but regardless of how, they were soon wisked away to the Weyr, where first Kousan Impressed Seth, his now dear and beloved Brown, and then, to the shock and dismay of many, Calliope Impressed Seth's moments-younger brother, Thoth, also a Brown.
He's not been blind to the fact he's had a much easier time of being a Brown rider than his sister - Before Thread returned, there were a few cases of him getting pulled into fights, unwittingly, for his sister's sake, and initially he actually welcomed Thread's return if only because it meant everybody has to deal with the fact that, yes, Calliope, for all her pranks, is a capable Rider. Now he has a far greater worry than people giving his sister flak for riding a Brown - Will the next Fall be the one that robs him of his twin, or Calliope of hers?
Other: K'san and his twin sister, Calliope, are near-inseperable, part of the reason they both started on the path of being Harpers - The fact they can both sing was definitely bonuses in this fact.

Personality: Quite a serious dragon, Seth can be a stickler. He considers himself slightly above his clutchbrother, Thoth, in that he hatched AND Impressed first, therefore as the older clutchbrother, he's in charge between the two. He'll often be seen chiding his clutchbrother and sometimes even the bonded of his clutchbrother! His bonded's twin sister, the bonded of Thoth, is the only other human Seth will communicate with, a trait he shares in reverse with Thoth.
