"Overgrown and overflown, the Ruins of Palude are the oldest known buildings within Ethe. What had at one point must have been a thriving and glorious city has now been taken over by water and wildlife. Statues bigger then any ever seen now lay sunken under the murky green waters. In total Seven statues have been known to have sunk, with only their heads and a limb or two standing above ground.
Other then the statues, Ruins of some buildings remain, as the statues were grand what remains of the buildings tells that what must have once been here must have been vast and powerful. A few strips of fabric remain on the remaining walls, but anything of value has been looted except for a golden throne that must have at one point been bedecked in precious gemstones but now each stone of value has been torn away, the throne only seeming to have been left as it cant seem to be lifted, budged, burnt, or scratched by even the strongest of materials or men.
The Ruins of Palude rest just off the river in the Lands under the jurisdiction of House Palude of Ethe. The land is difficult to traverse without a guide, However many paths exist, worn down from years of others travelling across the safer parts of the swamp- if you stick on the paths no harm will come to you, however blights have been known to roam the ruins of Palude."
