Meru had wondered about it, but never really thought to seek it out until now. What was the importance of her name? Where did the name originate from? If the senshi had their homeworlds, what was hers? What was her wonder like? Wikipedia had helped with what it was to civilians, but she wanted more. The thought of traveling to realms unknown to normal human beings was strange but appealing to her. Luckily she found someone that wanted to travel as well.
Basically, Meru found herself a travel companion by the name of TianGuan. They set up a date and time where they were both available and set up a meeting spot in between her work and Tian's. It was a park that the senshi recommended, one she had traveled through another time.
The page stood under a tree, powered up and waiting. She shifted her weight back and forth, a bit nervous for what was to come. Meru thought maybe she should have asked to visit Tian's homeworld first, but the thought of seeing hers and exploring it with someone was more exciting than seeing one that could possibly mean nothing to her.

Tian was super excited to be traveling to other realms again. She had to be patient visiting her own, needing to gather up strength again to make that far journey, but this time, someone else was bringing her along. The idea of seeing, learning about somewhere new was causing her heart rate to increase. Maybe she'd find out more about herself there as well!
To the best of her ability, Tian had spent the day working and studying, like always. She made sure to set a couple hours to let herself rest in between. Well, as restful as it could be since it included walking and playing with her pooch. A half hour before she was supposed to meet up with the page, Tian packed up her backpack, making sure to bring some water and snacks. If it was anything like her traveling, they would be necessary.
The park she suggested was the one Tian had found with Cotton, her dog. It didn't seem to have that much foot traffic at night so seemed to be the perfect place to leave from and come back to. As she approached, she noticed the page with flowing clothes in blues and purples. There seemed to be a slight sparkle to them.
"Meru?" Tian said with her hand extended. "I'm TianGuan, Senshi of Masks. It's a pleasure to meet you and I'm really excited for tonight."

When Meru heard the voice and felt the approaching aura, she flashed a smile in that direction. She reached out and gave Tian a gentle but firm handshake. Meru could tell the Senshi was younger than her despite the feeling of the aura being stronger. "It's nice to meet you as well, Tian. I'm a Page of Cosmos."
"I'm... Kind of excited about tonight too? As you know, I've never really done this before and is a little freaked out by it all." Meru noticed the backpack Tian had on her shoulder and wondered, feeling a bit unprepared for what they were about to do. "What's all that for? It looks a bit heavy. Should I carry it?"
Meru was being courteous since Tian had been so kind to volunteer herself to travel to her wonder with Meru. Ultimately, Meru realized that she really didn't even know how to get started. It was embarrassing, but she had to ask. "Do... Do you know how we're going to get there today?"

"Honestly, no." Tian pulled out her Senshi cellphone and showed it to Meru. I can travel to my home world through this cellphone. I know it's Mauvian technology, but besides that, I have no clue. I know the Knights travel differently to their wonder. But I believe it's something that you know deep inside of you. A calling, of sorts... Just like when you first awakened as Meru."
Tian reached for and held Meru's hands. "Just close your eyes, and think. Feel for it. Reach for it." Part of her felt a little weird for saying what she did, but it was meant to help, encourage. No one could help Meru but herself. "You can do it, and I'm right here beside you." She had to concentrate when traveling to her stars. This time, Meru would have to be the one to concentrate.
To encourage Meru, Tian closed her eyes and bowed her head. "You can do it," she thought over and over to herself.

Tian's hand was reassuring for Meru as she contemplated. She watched as Tian closed her eyes and squeezed her hands. She followed and closed her own eyes. At first, her mind wandered a bit, thinking about what she had initially learned about her Wonder. From what she had looked up, Meru knew it was a sacred mountain to the Hindu, Jain and Buddhist cosmology. She didn't practice religion herself, but everything she could learn fascinated her.
She shifted her weight. "No... Think about the calling. How to get there, not just about it!" Meru was kicking herself mentally to concentrate. Slowly, the words came to her and she said them out loud so it seemed to resonate in the night air.
"I pledge my life and loyalty to Cosmos, and to Meru. I humbly request your aid, so that in return I may give you mine."
Meru felt a rush of energy flow around her. She grasped Tian's hands a little tighter, unsure of what was happening. Well, she knew where she was headed, but unsure of how and how safe. When nothing seemed to be moving anymore, Meru let go of Tian's hands, opened her eyes and stared at the glory of her wonder.
They had landed a ways off from the blue-tinted mountains. The air had a slight chill in it from being in the mountains. They were probably in walking distance of the main area but would probably be more time spent there than they'd like. She could see a total of five peaks, the center-most being the tallest. On the hills, it seemed like whomever lived there before had carved their homes and businesses on the side of the mountain. "It's... So amazing. So different!"
The excitement of her first travel was leaving her and she could feel a little bit tired. Meru assumed as though it too a fair amount of energy traveling, even more so with Tian.

Tian's eyes were closed as she felt the familiar rush of energy bringing them to where they wanted to go. It wasn't exactly the same as when she traveled to her star, but the excitement grew in her. The Senshi was beyond excited to see someone's wonder, as she had never been to a knight's place before. Her eyes only opened when the surge seemed to stop. Slowly, she tried to take in as much as she could around her.
"Meru, it's wonderful!" Her skin tingled a bit with the chilled air. "Much different that mine. Remind me that you need to go to mine some time." Tian enjoyed seeing the mountains and the little windows, doors and stairs that were carved on its side. She knew that there were people that lived this way long ago, but it was different seeing it here. "Though I do wonder why we landed so far off from where people actually lived..."
They had landed on a dirt path, made only by its use ages ago. Tian looked over at Meru and it seemed like she was a bit drained. "Do you want something to drink, or eat? Not sure how much it helps, magic energy wise, but it might make you feel better." She opened her backpack to show some bottles of water and energy bars in assorted flavors. "I have a tendency of traveling with these, just in case."

"I'll take some water please." Meru was tempted by the energy bars that Tian had in her backpack, but the page decided she'd eat later. Something like this deserved something alcoholic and delicious. She did have a nice box of coffee macarons with chocolate ganache in her fridge. "Maybe after this, we can power down and I can give you something yummier than those back at my place?"
Meru now felt kind of dumb. Why didn't she just bring them in the first place? It was a nice gift since Tian was traveling to her Wonder. Now the fact that she landed them in some sort of area that seemed to be quite far from the peaks that she was named for. "I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure why we landed here of all places. I'd love to see your home world at some point. Hopefully you have better aim than I do! "
She took one of the water bottles and opened it. The water felt good on her throat. "Thank you very much, Tian. You are very well prepared." Meru walked around in the little area they were at. Something was tugging at her and she looked around the area to find it. A little ways ahead of them towards the peaks, she found a small path. It was really much of a path since it didn't really seem used very much. Meru felt that she was meant to follow the path.
"Up for an adventure, Tian?" Meru could feel she was getting a bit anxious, but she wanted to know what was there. "Not sure how dangerous anything is... I might need your help if we do have to fight."

"Something yummier than energy bars?" Tian said sarcastically with a laugh. "That sounds fun though. I can't stay too long since I'd need to head home to my pooch before she freaks out, but it'll be nice having more friends that know both my Powered and Civilian selves."
Tian watched as Meru surveyed the area. "I've never really controlled where I've gone. Well, I think I did it once by accident. My home world is a binary star. For the longest time I was landing on the same one, but then my heart kind of reached out wanting to see the other and it... Just happened?" It sounded a bit weird saying it, but Meru landed here for a reason.
"Something brought you to this spot." It seemed like Tian was correct when Meru found a passage that only she would have noticed. Tian smiled and walked to it. "I'll cover you, no worries!"
She closed the large pocket that held the snacks and water and opened the smaller one. Tian showed the contents to Meru. It was filled with bandages and salve. "I came with this too. Sometimes I feel a bit over prepared..."

"Oh you have a dog? I'd love to meet them sometime!" Meru didn't seem to have time for a pet. Not yet anyways. She needed to figure out all this powered stuff before an animal. Honestly, she couldn't imagine a dog. They were just so much work! A cat... Maybe a fluffy feline to keep her company... "Let's get whatever I needed to do here done and get out of here!"
It wasn't as though Meru was afraid or anything, she just felt a bit guilty keeping Tian here longer than necessary. The page took a few more gulps of water before heading down the path. Something... She was meant to find something going down the path.
Meru kept advancing, but noticed that the path was just growing increasingly tighter. There were more rocks and it seemed to be a bit colder. Eventually, they hit an area that would allow her to pass, but would be a tight squeeze. If anything bad were there, one of them could definitely be in trouble.
She turned back to Tian. "Wait here, okay? I don't know what's in there, but I don't want to risk you getting hurt." The place felt desolate, but the darkness was always uncertain.

Tian smiled at Meru's enthusiasm as the conversation about her dog sparked. "Of course you can meet her! She'd definitely love the attention. Her name is Cotton and I've had her since she was a puppy." Tian lived alone, so Cotton was her everything. "She was a handful before, but she's grown a lot since then... I love her dearly!"
They kept walking and the rocks around them seemed to grow around them. At first, the path just seemed to be getting tighter and not wanting them to continue. Maybe this path was meant just for Meru. The Senshi watched as Meru made progress without struggling much. For her, the rocks seemed to want to jab at her every so often. She had even had to take off her backpack and hold it in her hands to maneuver around the rocks poking out.
She was curious - was what in front of her different in her eyes compared to Meru's? Tian wasn't sure if she should ask now or later. Meru's drive moving forward seemed to be strong. Tian did not want to compromise that drive with doubt. They eventually made their way to what looked like a chasm in the mountain. "I have no issues of waiting here. Just holler if you need me!"
Honestly, the gap looked small. Tian wasn't even sure how either of them would fit through, not even considering what might be at the other side. It felt like it was okay though. Whatever they were here to do, Meru could do it. It was Meru's destiny to do so.

"Okay... At least Tian's safe." A feeling was tugging at her and she still didn't know what, but at least she would be the cause of a death in her Wonder. Then again, the feelings were not malicious. They just felt very mysterious? The scared part of her really wished that Tian could have joined her. Though, it felt like she was supposed to tackle this alone.
Meru looked around the area and noticed a faint glow further into the cavern. "Welp, it's now or never." She walked in a straight path towards the glowing light, randomly looking back and making sure she could still find her way out. The faint glow of the entrance was still visible when Meru approached the lighted area against what looked like the furthest point in the room. It was much colder than where she had started and where Tian was waiting.
The area was lit up dimly, but even with whatever magical light it was, the whole area could not be seen. It seemed like someone had hollowed out the area. Meru could not see the sides of the room and wondered just how large it could be. Who would have spent so much time doing this?
She turned back and looked at the center of the lighted area. There was a stone pedestal with a ring with her seal on it. Meru stared at it with familiarity before reaching for it. When her fingers just brushed it, the room lit up and she saw a quick glimpse of the room before going a majority dark again. It looked to be some sort of training room back in the day.
"Meru..." Something or someone whispered in her ear. She turned around, confused. "Tian? Was that you?"
It fell silence as Meru waited for a response. "Signet ring... Communicate... Growth... Rebirth... Yours!"
The ring was now in Meru's hands, but she was desperately looking for something. "Wait... What are you talking about? Come back? Help?" She was met with a long silence this time, unsure of where the voice came from and if it would come back. Meru was a bit saddened and confused, but she looked for the glow of the entrance and exit and made her way there.
Meru kept staring at her ring as she stepped back out into the light. She didn't realize how cold she was until the warmth hit her face. Tian was standing near by as she held onto the ring between her thumb and pointer finger. "I guess... I found this? Or it was calling to me?"

Tian looked around the area in silence as she waited for Meru to come back. If necessary, she would force her way into the gap. Although her eyes wandered, Tian's ears were constantly listening for Meru, not sure if she'd run into trouble on her quest.
The Senshi had wandered a little ways back so she could find a place to sit. She was not urgent to get back to Earth, so whatever Meru was doing she could take her time.
Soon, Tian heard footsteps approaching and went back to the gap. There, Meru appeared holding a ring in her hand. The page looked confused but Tian had at least learned a little about what Meru was holding. "That's your signet ring, if I'm correct. It's how you can send written messages to other knights as well as Senshi. I believe... It has to have the name clearly written and then stamped with the seal on the ring."
"I've never really received one or experienced it before, so another Knight would probably be able to teach you better." Tian smiled weakly. It felt like their powered world expected them to know how things worked by themselves. "Sorry I can't be of more help."

"Signet ring, huh..." She looked at the right hand which had her page 'weapon'. Then she looked at her left hand, wondering which finger to put it on. Meru opted for the middle finger, not wanting to put it on her ring finger. She was still single after all. When she put on the ring, it was a perfect fit. It hadn't been something she had noticed earlier.
Meru looked at Tian. "Thank you again for being here today." She stretched her two hands in front of her and looked at the rings on each hand. "I still don't really understand what I'm supposed to be doing here, but at least this trip came up fruitful."
"I hope you were not bored or anything... We could go explore the rest of the place if you'd like? Though... I don't know how far that trek will be." Her magic had sent her to find her signet ring - it looked like it was the only thing she was meant to do this trip.

It was interesting for Tian to watch Meru's reactions. There seemed to be genuine curiosity, but at the same time, it seemed like Meru was very much confused like when Tian had first powered up. She had grown as a person and a Senshi. "You're very welcome, Meru. It honestly was my pleasure and, although I do want to see more, we can save it for next time."
Tian smiled at Meru reassuringly. "I know everything seems confusing still, but it gets better. I still don't know very much about my past, but I've seen things and the memories are clearer each time I go back to my homeworld. Your wonder will speak to you too."
She led the way back to the clearing where they had initially arrived from. "What ever's over there," Tian motioned towards the general location of what seemed to be the main area of Meru. "You'll learn and you'll understand. Eventually. Nothing needs to be rushed. Can you imagine how much time has passed here? How long do you think your signet ring has been waiting for you?"

"Makes sense." Meru gave Tian a smile before they reached their landing point. With the locating of her signet ring, Meru could feel a little bit of confidence growing in her when it came to her powered life at least. She looked at the mountains of Meru and took in a deep breath. "I agree... I'll have time to figure out more about myself. I'll be sure to contact you when I'm ready to go next."
She looked at her signet ring. "I'm not sure how it'll work, but I'm very excited to try sending you a message via my ring. Well, it's not really the ring, but magic?" Everything seemed to be explainable by magic nowadays.
Meru took Tian's hand. "Okay, I think I know what to do this time." She closed her eyes and thought back to where they had come from back on Earth. The thoughts of home seemed to have worked! When they opened their eyes they were back at the place they left. "I did it!"
It was something very simple to be proud of, but Meru was happy she was learning.
