After the prince learned of his fathers attack to Leons village, he rushed to stop the attack but was too late, he did however heard some crying, after digging around some rubble, the prince found Lucian. He rushed back to the castle in order to stop Leons rampage but was too late, the king lay lifeless at the knights feet. Part of him wanted to tell Leon that his son had survived, but for some reason he did not. The now king feared for the infants life, he placed charge of the young Lucian to a trusted handmaiden and ordered her to raise the young boy as his own, far away from Fiore in hopes that he would never hear of Leon or his deeds.
That is how he ended up in Alvarez.
