It was a relatively normal night for Acubens'... or at least it was becoming normal for her. It had been a bit of a hard go but... she finally had something to work for. Someone to work for. Someone who counted on her. She didn't intend to let him down. She couldn't let him down. So she was out gathering energy for her court, providing for it the only way she knew how. It was a twofold benefit. Her court flourished with the energy that she helped provide and her work kept her away from the bottle. Everyone won. So she slid through the shadows of the park as quietly as possible looking for people she could borrow some energy from. In the end she settled for a young woman testing while she was walking through the park. It was an easy enough mark, especially with the use of her wraith. Acubens could stay comfortable and hidden in the shadows while the woman was suddenly felt a little sleepy.

The woman had no idea that she was being drained, Acubens kept herself hidden, the Dark Mirror Court benefited, and no one really lost.

She was just about done when an order aura caught her attention. She called her wraith back and pulled her lips back in a smile. In all honesty, she was a little too tired to be meeting someone, but in her never-ending quest to turn as many hearts towards her court's plight as possible, she stuck around. She waited until the young woman yawned loudly and shuffled off, presumably to go to bed, before she spoke.

"Hello," she called into the encroaching night. "You can come on out, I'm not going to hurt you!"

Acubens shrugged at the question, tucking the mirror shard away in her fuku. There really was no simple answer to it. The White Moon, as this aura clearly was, didn't respond well to draining energy, and so it wasn't super safe to answer with that. So she went with her simple stock answer of "My job." It was safe and vague but answered enough. "And I am Acubens," she finished answering, stepping out into the light so that her Senshi companion could have a better look at her.

Except for that she wasn't a Senshi at all. Now that certainly was interesting. It was someone like the Senshi... but different. Acubens had seen them before. Fought beside them even, but she didn't know what they were. All these years... the opportunity to meet and talk to one had never really come up. Now with one in front of her... it was hard to keep the excitement from her expression. She rushed over to the knight, circling her like a vulture as questions bubbled forth from her lips.

"Oh my gosh, I've never met one of you before. Who are you? What are you? Why do you all look so different? Do you have a sphere, like me, a sort of power source? You are order right? Judging by your aura you can be nothing else. But are you like order order or are you just like casual order, like social order?" As she asked her questions rapid fire, Acubens pulled at the Knight's uniform, trying to discern what she was from that. There was a symbol embroidered on her shoulder, Acubens was sure she knew it... but from where? She felt like she had learned that symbol a long time ago in some kind of class. Astronomy? It was planetary... oh gosh... Acubens wracked her brain for the answer as she circled, looking for more clues.

A knight? Acubens had known about Senshi but knights? They were uncharted territory for her. She knew that Leto hated them but... that was about it. Even as a White Moon Senshi she'd never even seen one. She may have fought beside them at times, certainly, she thought, at the park. Had one cured her? Everything had happened to fast to recall. The woman in the park certainly had not looked like a senshi. But she also didn't look like this woman. The woman at the park had been dressed all in white with shimmering shifting color playing across the fabric. She must not have been a knight...

Wait no... Andronicus. She had been a knight, however fleeting her relationship with her had been. But she didn't look like this either. She had been wearing dark blues and blacks... if Acubens' memory served her correctly. Sot he woman in the park could have been a knight, if there were no restrictions to uniforms...

"A knight... of Pluto?"

Well, that made sense, she supposed. There were Senshi for both Chaos and Order. The knights must have been the Order's answer to officers. There certainly was more color and style to these uniforms, to be sure. Pluto though... she knew she knew the symbol from somewhere.

"So, are you all of Pluto then?"

Knights of all the planets? Cosmos, what was that? Other places? As Gwales answered Acubens' questions, ten new ones popped up in their place. The only thing that made sense was the last part. Doing things their own way. It sounded so very familiar to her own court, after all.

And as luck would have it, Gwales asked the question about that very court in the next breath. Acubens, never one to refuse to answer curiosity about her home, readied her well-practiced speech about the Dark Mirror Court as she straightened her fuku and flipped her hair out of her face.

"I am a Dark Mirror Senshi," she began, gesturing to her own uniform. "Acubens, of Velociraptors. Just like you are aligned with Order, but have your own goals, we are aligned with Chaos, but we have our own agenda. We want the war to end, but if we can't do that, we want to save as many people as possible. Some of us are looking to space, trying to find a way make a home there. Others are looking into Mirror-space, which is our like... I dunno, pocket dimension? Hoping that we can make a home there. Some, like me, are trying to save as many people as possible from the war by bringing them home. Can't fight a war without soldiers, right?" Acubens giggled a little, happy that she got the chance to gush about her Court yet again.

"What about you? What are knights of Pluto like?"

Acubens curiosity was like the hydra. With each answer she got, two more questions sprang into existence in its place. Each one scrambled to be first out of Acubens mouth, and it took considerable effort not to blurt them all out at the same time. Calmly collect yourself Acubens, she thought with deliberate slowness. She sorted the emotions and questions carefully, triaging her curiosity in a matter of seconds. When the dust of her mania had settled, one request sang out loud and clear above the rest. That was the most urgent.

"Do me," she blurted, stepping forward towards the knight. "Use your magic on me! You guys have magic right? Like the negaverse agents? you are the Order's answer to officers, right? Do me!" Woah, woah, woah. Slow down again. She willed herself to be still, silencing the fervent request mid-sentence. There was a better way to ask. A more polite way to make the request. She cleared her throat and tried again.

"I mean... I'm insanely surious about knight magic. I've heard of it... but I would love to see it if at all possible."

Acubens laughed despite herself as the page fell into a fit of worry. She reached out a gentle hand and laid it on her shoulder, giving it a comforting squeeze.

"Easy now, kiddo. I'm just curious about what your magic does. I guess that was a really strange request, wasn't it? But that little hourglass is super cute so you've got that going for you!" However, the thought that the young page was unable to protect herself was alarming to say the least. What if a nega came to try and hurt her... Acubens may have been chaos, but she trusted the White Moon a hell of a lot more than she trusted the negaverse. At least they never had ulterior motives. What you saw with them is what you got.

"But I mean," she phished gently, voice lowering as though she were about to ask for some dark secret... and perhaps she was... "you can fight right? I mean like... to defend yourself." If not, then Acubens may have to take matters into her own hands. No one at risk of negaverse attack was going to go defenseless on her watch. And besides, who knew. An ally was an ally, right? And if she taught Gwales how to fight, maybe she'd fight for her and her Court if needed. Ramarque had always pushed for good relations on all sides, right?

The question about her magic made her smile. Not that she had anything to do with it -- it came from the stars not within her -- but she was proud none the less.

"My magic is... a little different. My first two attacks are speed based. I can run faster, I'm agiler, and I'm harder to catch. but my last one... that's my favorite. I can slash at enemies like I have claws. I'm faster too. Basically I become a lean, mean, raptor machine!" She laughed again, her voice high and musical. "But there's no way in s**t I'm going to try it out on you. Wouldn't want to hurt a new friend, right?" Was she being presumptuous? Acubens hoped not. The young page was sweet and trusted her. And Acubens trusted the page back. She hoped that she could count on her as a casual friend at least.
