She almost thought she had bitten off more than she could chew. It happened every now and then, when she was patrolling alone, mostly. It just happened to be one of those nights that she wasn't working with Beringia tonight, and this youma she was facing has a little tough. She was trying to fight smarter but---yeah. It was a learning process. The large komodo dragon like youma had gotten her pretty good. At some point it had snagged her jacket in it's powerful maul and whipped her back and forth viciously before tossing her a good distance. The super senshi ended up flying across the street, and then to her further utter horror, she felt herself hit something solid and slide across it before landing on the other side of it in a crumpled heap. Sedna let out a groan as she immediately pushed herself to her feet, using the object she had hit as something to lean on. She shook her head, trying to dispel the dizziness, and got a good look at what she hit really quick. A car hood. Oh no. She felt awful. She had hit quite a few cars in her time being magical so far but---wait. This one had decals. Destiny City Police. Already pale, Sedna turned white as her eyes shot to the top of the car where the lights were. Oh no. Oh no. She had hit a police car. She felt an escalating amount of panic start to tighten her chest, horrified, which got even worse when she heard the roar of the youma who had flung her in the first place. Sedna's eyes went wide as she tore her gaze away from the lights to then stare at the youma that was charging her from across the street. Something of a shrill squeal escaped her mouth, and she couldn't tell what she was more distraught by. That youma or hitting the police car.

The wide-eyes of the redheaded officer should have been evidence enough that he wasn’t used to people hitting his roof (though, maybe he’d run into a few more people than he’d ever admit). He stared at her for only a second, but her scream seemed to direct his attention to what was scaring her. His head whipped across the street and contorted into an expression of disgust as the youma came into sight. It didn’t seem like he moved—and then, the car shot back as he hit the gas on reverse.
He seemed particularly straight faced as he shifted gears and pushed the car out of reverse. It took only a few seconds for the car to pick up speed and he didn’t seem to have any reservations about hitting the youma head on. If the car itself hadn’t caused some damage, being flung across the street and into an old building must have. All Jeremy saw in the collision was a burst of dust, but he couldn’t see any structural damage. He watched for a few seconds longer before he rolled down his window and looked at the girl.
A quick look at her outfit and he knew she was one of those weird people, but he still hadn’t learned how to really identify them.
“I hope that wasn’t your dog,” he said, eyes drifting from her to across the road again.
He bit his lip for a second, trying to figure out the best way not to chase her away, so he asked, “You okay?”Lucyal I HOPE THIS IS OKAY let me know if i need to change things ;v;

The scene that just played out before her left the senshi's mouth hanging open. Well, first, even more horror because there had been an officer in that car. She was so in trouble, that had been her first thought, but that quickly took a backseat as the officer slayed a youma with his car. She was glued to the spot, eyes wide and mouth hanging open. A part of her decidedly felt odd. She felt inadequate in her job as a senshi, because it was her job to protect not magical people from stuff like that, but instead she was protected by a not magical person---oh but wait. He was a police officer. It was his job to stand up to things that would hurt citizens! ...Yikes. Sedna started as the car came back, and then she was spoken to. The senshi straightened up immediately, and nearly saluted him. Nearly. "No! That wasn't my dog! Y-yeah---I mean, yes, sir! Thank you! I um---" Her lips twisted, and she stared at the hood of his car. "H-hitting that was an accident, sir!"

Jeremy was quiet for a moment and nodded slowly, eyes fixed on the girl still. “Okay, good,” he said, seeming to relax. He tapped his fingers thoughtfully on the steering wheel and then shrugged. “I probably did more damage to the car than you did, don’t worry about it. You did a pretty good slide, there. What’s your name?”
He pried one hand from the wheel and held it out the window for her to shake. “I’m Officer Fischer. You, ah, you get chased by those things a lot or…like, what?”
He knew he had to sound stupid, but he was grasping for straws here. He knew just enough to know that there was more than he understood, but he only had the barest idea of what that actually meant. He hadn’t even really been able to talk to his brother about it, but now that he knew about this world, he couldn’t just ignore it.
He just hoped she knew more than he did.

"Sedna---Super Sailor Sedna! Er---" Her cheeks burned a bit red. "Just Sedna is fine though!" She reached out to take his hand, giving it a firm and steady shake. "Sir!" She belatedly added. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Officer Fischer!" She released his hand, and resisted the urge to fiddle with her sash out of nervousness at talking to a police officer. "Oh---" Her eyes went a bit wide. "Yeah---way more than I'd like to be honest! The youma are really bad! Like some kind of awful termite infestation---I do a lot of the chasing too, though!" She paused for a moment, before her dying curiosity started to win over her nervousness. "Do you see them a lot!? When you're out patrolling!?" Kyuseisha no Hikari I'M SO SORRY KYU I'M TRASH OTL

Jeremy had provided her a firm handshake, pleased at the one she had given him. He watched her closely while she spoke and it wasn’t lost to him that she seemed nervous, but he was used to that in this line of business. Nobody really wanted to have to talk to a police officer, not when it usually meant something bad had happened. When she started talking more, he relaxed in his seat and shrugged. “I see a lot of weird things while I’m out,” he replied simply; it was his job as an officer to protect who he could, but he knew the policies of the department were sort of strict when it came to spreading rumors about monsters.
The last thing they wanted was mass hysteria, and Jeremy was in denial anyway. Youma, termites. Bits and pieces of answers he only half wanted to hear. The rest of him wanted to just dismiss it as some childish fantasy and be done with it.
“Your outfit is one of them,” he said, cracking a grin. “You shouldn’t be running around playing vigilante, though. Someone’s going to get the wrong idea about whatever it is you’re doing out here and you’re going to get hurt. Which, regardless of whatever your fashion taste is, is the absolute last thing I want to have happen to you. I’m not going to make a report of this or let anyone know what happened here, and I’m not going to give you a hard time for this, as long as you promise me that you’re going to go home after this.” he asked, but it was clearly rhetoric. “And stay out of trouble for the rest of the night. All right, Sedna?”

Sedna looked down at her outfit, blinking, and opened her mouth like she was about to say something, but paused. She couldn't help but look incredibly conflicted as Jeremy very much gave her a cop talk, like he was doing her a big favor by letting her off with a nice warning...which he was, and she was grateful...except... Well...she wasn't going to go home! Sure, she could lie, but that wouldn't sit well on her conscience, plus she couldn't lie to save her life anyways. Besides, Jeremy would catch her in the lie if he ever caught her out again! Part of her briefly wondered if he was secretly part of the Negaverse, trying to send her home like that, but dismissed the thought just as quickly. If he was a Negaverse agent, he'd have her in cuffs right now. Not be sending her on her way. After a moment of indecision, Sedna firmly shook her head. "I'm really sorry, Officer Fischer, but I'm not going home, because I'm on patrol! And I'm not going to stop! Not tonight, and not ever, because---because we're like--- space police fighting space bad guys." She held up a finger as she spoke. "And honestly, civilians, like you, can't handle the stuff out there that's not normal, and that's where me---and the others---come in!" Kyuseisha no Hikari YOU WERE WAY QUICKER THAN ME! <3

Jeremy looked exasperated and propped his arm up on the car door. “Seriously, would it kill you to lie to me. It’s not like I’m going to follow you home and make sure that you made it.”
The kids in this town were going to be the death of him; he had lost track of how many oddly dressed teenagers had magnificent stories about patrols and duty. He didn’t need a lecture from them; he needed them to listen to his.
“I’m not exactly your average civilian, and I’ve been a cop for long enough that I’ve seen some weird s**t. So I mean, give me some credit, okay? Anyway, whatever game you’re playing doesn’t come with an insurance policy, and your parents aren’t going to be happy if you wind up hurt and in the hospital, so at least try to stay safe? And if I say go home, at least pretend like you’re going to call it a night? I’ll sleep better if I don’t have to worry if you made it home okay.”

Sedna's mouth hung open and one finger was raised in the air as she got another lecture she wasn't entirely expecting from a police officer. Maybe she was a bit stunned and scandalized that he actually wanted her to lie to him, among other things. "Sir---" She finally found her voice. " I can't lie to save my life." So that was that. She propped her hands on her hips to try and look like she had some authority, but let's be real, it was just bravado. "I understand and appreciate your concern, sir, and I mean no disrespect, but I think it's you who thinks this is a game! I want to assure you that it's really not. So I promise to try my best to be safe, but you need to as well! You can take out youma with your car like you just did, or with your gun, I think---or even your night stick! But you're better off not trying, because you never know how powerful those monsters can be, and that's where we come in!" Things Sedna didn't think she'd do this year: lecture a cop. "So now, I'm going to pretend like I'm going home, but I'm really not!" Kyuseisha no Hikari NO IT'S OK! I love this tag <3 Kyu, when Sedna gets corrupted, can I have another RP with Jeremy where she accidentally teleports into his car and is like oops hi /dies

Jeremy watched the girl with a bemused smile; on one hand, her honesty was refreshing. On the other hand, he would still have to worry that she made it home, tonight. Or any other night.
Even her lecture seemed to be amusing to him.
“Game or not, you do what you’re going to do, and I’m going to do what I’m going to do. And part of my job is to worry about everyone else and make sure they’re not getting into trouble. But I don’t know if it’s a good idea to tell me not to try.” He gave her a look. “Because I’m always going to try. That’s my job. I’m going to do my best to keep people safe. And I can’t rely on some kid in a costume to come bail me out. So how about, I’ll do my job, and try to keep Destiny City safe, and you just remember that it’s my job to keep you safe, too. So just try to make my job a little easier for me, okay?”
He gave her a look that was almost as playful as it was stern. “So you think about that on your walk home, you hear?”

Sedna thought about that for a long moment, rubbing her chin as she stared up at one of the nearby sky scrapers. She slowly started to nod her head, and then looked back down at Jeremy, and grinned a bit sheepishly at him. "Yeah! That's fair sir, I can understand that! You worry about me, because that's your job, and I'll worry about you too, because that's mine!" She raised her hand in mock solemnity. "I promise I will think about it on my walk home." A walk that would include many, many detours. "Be safe officer! Maybe I'll see you around!" She started to back up, waving at Jeremy, and then spun on her heel. Once she got close enough to one of the nearby buildings she lept a few stories and grabbed onto a balcony before propelling herself up and out of sight. Kyuseisha no Hikari Wrap tag for me! THANK YOU SO MUCH <3 Jeremy is a blast And I will be back for you and Jeremy after she's been corrupted > : )
