Physical Description: Nebbi is small, and at her age, it's clear that she probably will be for life. She's skinny, with thin limbs and a boyish figure, but she might yet fill out in that sense. Her long hair is light blonde and often messy. She has large grey eyes and expressive features. She couldn't hide how she feels something even if she wanted to.
Personality: Nebbi is a bit of a rough diamond; crude and dirty, but still precious (and hard as a rock). She's a scrapper by nature, often getting into fights (or starting them). She's notoriously blunt, finding it hard to hide what she's thinking, which can be the root of many of her problems. She's no kinder to her friends than to her enemies- just more loyal. She'll still laugh at them when things go wrong, or give them a smack if they deserve it, but she'd never stand for anyone else to do the same. She will always (sometimes almost too enthusiastically) stick up for a friend in peril. And when things go south, she will never not be there to fight by their side.

Nebbi is a bit of a gossip too. She hates being out of the loops, and loves nothing more than a secret. The phrase 'heard it through the grape vine' might well be referring to her. She might release a juicy tid-bit or two in trade, but what she really enjoys is hearing the rumors, and will usually only repeat them among friends. She's the kind of person who can laugh at the misfortune of others, as long as that person is an anonymous 'someone' and no anyone she knows. That's different. How could you say that about someone? What kind of person are you? She'll turn on a dime without ever realizing how hypocritical she's being. She doesn't do it to be mean, she just finds a certain humor in human drama. She loves outrageous stories, or cruel twists of fate, though she's always a little skeptical of their authenticity.

Much as she might hide it, Nebbi is basically a good and honest girl. The same love of absurdity that prompts her to laugh at misfortune and spread gossip also spurs her to try to make people happy in strange and absurd ways (leaving presents on peoples doorsteps, buying random strangers a drink). She seems to have misunderstood the concept of a prank, as she tends towards tricks that delight rather than disgruntle, though she'll brag about them as though it's the same. She loves seeing people happy, especially if it's because of her, especially if that's a secret. And nothing delights her more than for the same stories to find their way back through the rumor mill. Nebbi is generous, but will never be spend-thrifty. She usually spends all her marks the moment she earns them, on anything that makes her (or anyone) happy.

History: Nebbi was born in a very traditional (read: sexist) Hold, to parents that shared its values. From the time she was born, Nebbi was a second class citizen to her brothers. Her parents (both her mother and father) made it clear that they would have preferred her to be a boy. Girls, in their minds, were useless and weak. To be seen and not heard, not worth an education. Instead of believing them, Nebbi grated under their control, and got a fair few more beatings and nights without dinner than she would have if she learned to hold her tongue like her sisters. She decided from an early age that she wanted more than this world she lived in. She would teach herself if no one else would.

Her one solace was her uncle, who would visit their Hold from time to time. He would teach her things sometimes. Primarily, he would teach her how to fight, as the older man had once been a guard at the Hold before he moved away. Nebbi would always be small, but as long as she was going to keep getting herself into fights, he'd at least give her a half chance of defending herself. He had never liked his sister's older children much, though he tried his best to. They were just too thuggish or weak-willed for his tastes. But he and the young girl got along tremendously, and after a few times visiting, he decided he wanted to take her with him the next time he left. It wasn't hard to convince her parents to agree, and Nebbi herself was only too happy to say goodbye to them and the Hold for good.

Her uncle had been working as a Vinter for some turns, and had recently started a minor Craft Hall/Vinyard just outside of High Reaches Hold. Though no Benden or Tillek by any stretch, the northern climate produced sweet whites that were consistent and accessible rather than sophisticated or complex. His wines might not be enjoyed by Lord Holders, but they're popular among Crafters or regular Hold folk.

Compared to her old home, Nebbi loved growing up on the Vinyard. They were walking distance to the Hold, where she went every morning for lessons until she was old enough to officially start working as an apprentice. She made several friends there, and is especially close to her age-mate and fellow gossip, Vitre. There's several other Vinters at the Hall (more during harvest times), but few females, and so in many ways Nebbi grew up a little boyish. She's uncomfortable with female attentions, or rather, she doesn't know how to respond to it. Thought her uncle dotes on her considerably, she's never been 'mothered' by anyone, and often grumbles about the meddling aunties in the Hold. Maybe she's starved for female friendship, because she's recently started noticing how pretty girls are. And how nice. And how soft their skin is.. But she's not good at talking to girls, and never has been, having mostly male friends her own age.

Other: Nebbi has quite the sweet tooth, and is often seen with a handful of wine grapes whenever they're in season. She has taken up candy making as a side hobby.
