The War Room is probably the second most restricted area in the entirety of Shield Base. It contains the location and mission objectives of every formation in the Solarian Navy, complete with map overlay of the system and a marker for each ship. While the information is never in real time, barring Capital Fleet, it's still useful for planning defensive and offensive operations, as well as tracking progress. It can also display surface terrain, for use of Marines and orbital strikes. Major Marine and Army operations will occasionally route through the War Room, as Marines and Soldiers can be found here as well as the Navy. All listening posts link directly into this room, as well as into the ONI database. It's the one place ALEX cannot monitor without permission. the room itself is a perfect square, with each side measuring 150 meters.

The floor is unique, compared to the rest of the station, as system overlays can be projected onto the floor, to allow for greater detail. This is most commonly used when mobilizing Capital Fleet, as well as any major operation in another system. When the War Room isn't being used for any major operations, the floor just shows a real time feed of the entire Sol System.

Access to the War Room is heavily restricted, with a pair of Imperial Guards checking the ID of every person attempting to gain entry. No one is exempt from this, not even the Emperor himself. Reasons behind the tight security is not just locations, but that the Room contains every single operation plan the Army, Marines, and Navy have ever devised, even ones completely useless, due to advancements in technology and the larger borders of the Empire. These plans include invasions of other parts of the Empire, destroying the Barons Fleet, and even having to use Capital Fleet to defend Sol from the rest of the Solarian Navy. Like the Office of the Admiral of the Fleet, the War Room can be shielded against the vacuum of space. However, unlike the office, the room is always soundproofed and protected from listening devices. And the room contains actual defensive shielding in the event the rest of the station is destroyed, equal to that of a Destroyer. The Room contains a standalone fusion reactor, attitude thrusters, and communications devices, allowing the Navy to function even in the event Shield Base is destroyed.
