Crush plot ideas:
Quote:
Laurel needs one or more people to crush on! This does NOT have to turn into anything serious, no strings attached at all, but I really want him to have a HUGE dorky crush on one or two people.
I have a few ideas for how this could go.
1. Laurel is crushing hard on one or more people and he's doing everything he can to be affectionate (giving gifts, offering his jacket, actually cleaning their face with a tissue or fixing their hair...etc) and going out of his way to help them at every turn. However, no matter what he does, his crush(es) don't seem to be picking up on these hints and it makes him S U P E R nervous. (But he can't tell them, right? No, that would be too risky!)
2. Similar scenario to #1, except Laurel is extremely clumsy around his crush(es). Like, he can't even offer them his coat without hitting his head or bumping into someone. Maybe he spills something on himself, breaks a display, or he just has some terrible, terrible coordination. Either way, he looks like a complete idiot and his crush is like "wtf man"
3. Full on two or more crushes scenario. Laurel can't decide who he would rather spend his time with and pursue. Furthermore, his crushes are either wildly different or absolutely can't stand each other, which makes the choice even harder to make.
ENDING IDEAS 1. Optional requited love plot where, to Laurel's shock, his crush actually likes him back! Maybe they start dating, maybe they break up, or maybe it goes through both things and comes back together. Or, maybe someone else is crushing on Laurel or his crush and tries to mess everything up. Who knows, but it could, maybe should, start with one of the three scenarios above.
ENDING IDEAS 2. Optional unrequited love plot where Laurel gets his heart handed back to him and he has to learn how to cope with rejection. Maybe it's a double rejection from both his crushes. Maybe his crushes get together and he has to see them being happy without him.
ENDING IDEAS 3. Laurel never tells his crushes his feelings, suffers quietly for a while, and either loses interest or finds out something about his crush that would absolutely block his chances. (Or something that would make him wrinkle his nose up and stop talking to them all together. Whatever works)
