Alphubel was excited for a couple of reasons. The first was this really nice sunset near the grounds of his school campus. He was glad that he had decided to take his phone with him just in case, since he and the senshi had decided to meet around this time. And the second reason of course, was that he was finally getting another sparring session in! He had done it before with another senshi, but he didn't feel as though he had learned anything from that fight.

This time however, the senshi he was meeting up with, Tian, seemed to have gladly volunteered to spar with him and so he hoped to learn some defensive and more offensive moves this time. For right now though, he spent his time waiting, watching the sun set in the sky and taking pictures of the landscape as it changed.

The days when Tian didn't power up were slowly melding into one giant mess of memories. The information for school was clearly retained, but things she did in the day, Tian started questioning when she did what. When the idea of powering up and sparring with someone came up, she jumped at the idea. It would get her out there and exercising. "A nice change of pace, a nice breather", she thought as she took a deep breath and approached the blond haired, brown eyed male.

"Hello, Alphubel?" Tian held out her hand for a handshake. "It's very nice to meet you. I'm TianGuan, Senshi of Masks. I hope I can teach you enough so you can at least defend yourself and maybe fight back a little!" She didn't think it was a good idea to mention that she really didn't like fighting. Sometimes, people didn't have a choice though.

Alphubel was always impressed by the outfits that senshi and other knights wore. His was a simple robe and scarf combo, but the rest of them seemed to have a bit more going on that what he was, and he was a bit jealous. "Yes! I'm Alphubel. It's very nice to meet you TianGuan. Thanks for the help! I really hope I can learn a bit more. I've only really learned how to throw a punch but not much else..." He replied as he, probably a little too enthusiastically, shook the offered hand.

Unfortunately not being able to fight that well that had hurt him when he had run into some Negaverse agents. After all, before all of this, he would have been perfectly fine not ever getting into a physical altercation with someone else.

"I'll help to the best of my ability," Tian responded to him with a smile."I haven't really taught anyone to fight before, but have learned from others. It may end up with a bit of bruising, but we can stop before than and I can give you some stuff to help you with that." As a medical student, she always had something on her in case someone got into trouble and needed it.

Tian lifted up her arms and got into a defensive position. "I can't guarantee you can take someone down after this, that would take weeks of training, but at least I hope you can learn where to attack and where to defend! Now, give me your best shot!" Hopefully Tian herself wouldn't end up too beat up after this. After all, she was the punching bag today.

"Anything you do at this point would be a great help. And thanks so much once again for volunteering to help me." He replied, before getting himself ready. He looked at her with her arms up, wondering where the best place to hit first would be. He didn't really think that he could get a punch in with her arms like that. So... he swung out one of his legs, trying to hook it under hers to trip her over. It probably wouldn't work, but again, he was here for training because he stunk at fighting.

Tian said nothing, but smiled to show she appreciated his gratitude. She was quiet and waiting for his first move, wondering what his first move would be. When she saw his leg going out for a kick, she stepped forward so they were closer together and grabbed his leg. "Although a kick can be quite powerful, they are slower. Punches are good because they can deal a fair amount of damage and be quicker."

"See, since I have your leg, you're most likely working on balancing at the moment, correct?" Tian grinned. "That leaves you pretty open both to an attack from my other arm or possibly me knocking you to the ground. Also..." she motioned to his groin. "It leaves that pretty open so I wouldn't suggest it as a first time thing."

She let go of his leg and stood up straight, picking up his hands. "Are you left or right handed? Either way, these are what will do the quickest damage without depleting too much of your energy. Kicks are fun, but only after you've strengthened and quickened a bit!"

Well, this was certainly a lot more informative that his previous sparring session, and although she had been able to block it, which he figured she probably would, he was glad for the information. "Yes... I just wasn't sure how to attack you with my fists. I figured you would have been able to grab those anyway. But if kicks are slower, I will have to use my fists more." Although he felt a bit embarrassed, he knew he needed to learn this.

He looked at his hands for a bit. "I'm right handed. Err... what would you suggest if I have to attack first then? I don't even know where to begin." He replied, blushing a bit. But he really didn't, it shouldn't' be too embarrassing to admit, right?

Tian took his right hand and closed his fingers to make the basic shape. "A fist is easy enough, right? Just always be careful of where your thumb may be." She moved the thumb to the places where it should be.

"You're punching with this part of your fist." She tapped on the part between the knuckle and first joint of the finger. "You need to make sure you punch with that part and not have your thumb in the way." Tian used her own hand to show an improper first. "See, if you're thumb is inside your fist, when you use it, you have the potential of breaking your thumb."

She reached for his other hand. "If you're afraid of having your right hand grabbed before you can do much damage, try and distract them with your left. Always aim for the weakest spots for humans. There's the nose, chin, throat, but the largest aiming space is here." Tian motioned at the spot on her under her chest but above her stomach. "You can knock the wind out of people here."

It seemed like Tian was good at giving a fair amount of information, but she realized she was unsure how much Alphubel would be actually able to use.

He let her show him how to do a fist. Even if he thought he knew how to do it correctly, it was better to be shown by someone who knew what they were talking about. He followed her words closely, trying to store all of the information in his head for later.

He was glad for all of her tips. "I think I got it." He said after he was pretty sure he had absorbed all of it, though he would probably have to go and write it down later. "Do you... want me to try to hit you again?" He asked, wondering if instead if they should be focusing on defense instead.

"Go for it!" Tian was unsure of how bruised she could get from this, but it was okay. She's known for a long time how to tend for herself. "Once you've had enough, tell me. You can keep going for as long as you need to figure out what to do."

Tian moved to a position more advantageous for herself, to allow herself to defend. "I won't attack so you won't get bruised, but no guarantee your hands won't get a bit tired or hit somewhere and hurt yourself. Promise I"ll tell you how to ease the soreness a bit."

"Once you get the hang of it, your body will be more used to what you should and shouldn't do. No pain, no gain!" Tian laughed. "We can always meet up elsewhere after this as well. Like if you wanted to go to an actual gym with punching bags and not... Well, me!"

"Sounds good! And thanks again for doing this with me! I would love to take you up on that offer to meet somewhere else. I know I can't just be practicing while powered up." Alphubel replied before sending another fist her way.

He certainly needed it. Self-defense classes were a must now and whenever he had tried to bring them up to his brother, Tom had replied that he was too busy to go to a scheduled one. But if Alphubel could find someone to regularly practice with, then maybe he would be a better knight?

Either way, at the end of practice, he would be going back to his home, happy that he had been able to spar a bit with someone who was willing to teach him.
