Her tongue came out slowly as she licked her bottom lip in anticipation. Dem wanted to take one of these great beasts down. Not so that she could brag about it to others but to prove to herself that her training hadn't gone soft after having her girls. Or taking in the other children that she considered hers. So when the creature leveled it's stare at her she grinned at it. “Come on then you great blight..” She taunted.
It would be something that she would regret as it charged at her again. To the Yaotl this was childs play. She was nothing more than an over sized toy since she was taller than the average earthling. Dem had been expecting the charge so she crossed her blades in front of her and braced her feet on the ground for the impact. What she hadn't been expecting was the power behind it.
When they connected she felt the muscles in her arms strain against the pressure to a point of almost giving in. So the woman grunted as she did her best to push forward. However, the power of the beast she faced off against moved her feet along the dirt and displaced her from where she stood by at least six feet. At the end of it's push it gave a final nudge and Dem was forced back onto her behind with an oof. Amazingly it didn't attack her again but moved away. This was a game now. To see who was more stubborn.
