Emberys watched the stage with idle interest as he kicked back his chair a little and took a sip of his drink. This was perhaps the worst acting he had seen in a show. Every joke was being botched, or perhaps he just wasn't drunk enough. Emberys wasn't sure what the case was, but he felt that a comedy should be funny whether you were drunk or not.

The male glanced from side to side, wondering how much of a scene it would create if her were to swim out and exit the show. Unfortunately, the seat he had chosen did not make for an easy escape, he was just going to have to sit through the rest of this drab play. He was definitely going to need another drink.

Opal peeked her head in the old drama house, taking note of the heads she saw in the dark. None of them looked familiar. Or clearly mohawky. Which meant that Logan wasn't here.

Damn.

Where would a "Lady" take her drunken brother? And why had Frederico said lady while making air quotations? Maybe she just didn't understand bar room antics? Who knew. Muttering to herself, cause a lady never growled, she slipped into the hall and attenpted to catch the eye of a passing mellon. Who ignored her.

"Well I never!!" She exclaimed, hands on her hips.

What kind of bawdry place was this?

Emberys raised his eyebrows as he heard a small commotion from behind. The male turned his head to look over his shoulder. Anything would be more amusing than this play.

Various members of the audience were hushing the lovely female, which only increased the level of noise, and the actors were now noticeably distracted. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for him to make a break for it.

So Emberys took his drink and swam up from his seat, heading towards the door. "Thanks." He said with a laugh as he passed the naiad.

Opal continued arguing with the mellon. Ladies didn't use violence, but the petulant little being was aggravating her to no ends. All she needed was answers.

"I do not care if this entire playhouse were to be staring, sir. I need to find my brother!!"

She would scream if it weren't improper. Just as she was about to explain to he mellon what he could do with that haughty attitude, another poor soul enduring this charade was swimming be her. At his muttered thanks, she turned and gave him a look that stated clearly not to mess with her. Which was obviously ignored as the other naiad made a quick exit.

Turning back to the mellon before her, she calmly thought again about the consequences of upending him onto stage before she decided against it. Patrol made too many sweeps for her to escape.

So she politely exited the door, slamming it behind her before releasing a few curses and lurid gestures at the door she had just vacated. Stupid mellons.

They were never of any help when they were needed.

"So... not a fan of that play either, huh?" Emberys asked as the female who had unintentionally created a diversion for him entered the lobby of the theater. "Look, it clearly says on the program that you're going to laugh your tailfin off, and I've never been so bored in my life. Now, the play last season, that was funny. Did you see it?" Emberys wasn't certain why he suddenly had such loose lips, especially to her, she seemed to be a bit too full of drama, even for a playhouse setting.

Emberys set his empty glass on the bar counter where it was promptly refilled. He clearly had no problems getting himself a drink.

Opal gasped and turned around. She thought she had been alone. Dang it. Her and her anger would be the end of her. Blushing a bright pink, she looked at her fins before apologizing.

"I am so sorrry. I thought I was alone out here. Else I never would have...made such a scene."

I'm sorry, but...program?" She puzzled. "Oh! Heaven's no. I wasn't here to watch that abomination. I don't believe in plays." She announced.

Turning to leave, she realized she hadn't asked him. She turned back around and asked him "By the way, you wouldn't have happened to have seen a blue and green fish with a shyness complex, would ya?"

Emberys laughed, surprised that she had missed the entire audience she had made a scene for. "You don't believe in plays?" That also surprised him, it was such a normal part of life to him, she must not have seen any good ones to not believe in them. How strange.

"No, I don't recall anyone like that..." He said thoughtfully. To be honest, he wasn't sure if he would have noticed though, it was hard to get a good peek at the folk who surrounded you in an audience.

Opal huffed, the sound common to her. "Of course not. Who wants to watch a bunch people pretending to be people they aren't? I mean, I know they have stories, but why watch stories? I just don't get why you would want to." she ended the rant with her hands on her hips.

Which didn't last long as his next answer crept across her brain. She growled. Men. Why on Earth did she still put up with such...Slovenly, rude, stupid male creatures?

Turning her attention back toward the dark blue male in front of her she bit out "Well then. I appreciate your help. If you excuse me, I have to go find my drunken brother. Who may or may not have run off with trollop."

She nodded her head at him before turning to leave. "Who needs plays when you have drama in real life?" she asked herself.

"I would." Emberys responded with a shrug as she basically insulted anyone who enjoyed a play. "Just not that one." He wasn't going to try and convince her to enjoy them though.

"If I find a drunk guy, I'll send him your way." Emberys responded with a playful smirk. If he hung around the bar long enough he could probably find quite a few drunk guys to send her way. Emberys was amused by the thought as he imagined what might happen. She had been unpleasant enough that he might actually do it

"Personally, I like the funny ones." He responded to her mutterings, certain that would get on her nerves.

Opal had been almost out the door when the implications of what the fiery blue fish had said finally danced their way across her brain. Turned back with a sharp gasp. Which might have been in Embrys favor, since she missed the last thing he uttered completely.

"Not A drunk man. One. As in blue and green with strength for days and a very low key, structured attitude. Whom I, for one, would never have believed he would have run off with some 'female' She ranted. She even put the last part in quotations with her hand cause that was how Frederico had said it. " Now I am terribly sorry if I ruined your play or your day or whatever it is that I've done to piss you off, but I have to find my brother!! He knows next to nothing of being a man nor of being alone in this God forsaken ocean and I HAVE TO FIND HIM."

Was she screaming? Dear goddess, she was. Opal immediately clamped a hand over her mouth and bit back a sob before giving a low curtsy and muttering "Good Day." And trying yet again to leave.

Emberys listened to her go off with mild amusement. She couldn't believe that he would run off with a girl, but she was the one who had suggested that he had gone off with a female. It was so confusing that it was amusing. Then she apologized for whatever she had done to piss him off? Emberys couldn't help but laugh. "You didn't piss me off... I think you are the one who is pissed off." The male shook his head.

He could hear the hidden sob in her voice though as she said good bye and then he felt bad for laughing and being amused with her situation. Should he say something or do something? With the way she had gone off on him though, he felt like he would probably just make things worse and left it at that. "Good luck finding your brother." He said with a shrug. Emberys had his pride too.
