hey all!! i am terrible at keeping up with posting in the thread, but i have wanted to reach out to more folks so our characters can meet each other. my journal is
here, but here's a quick summary of my folks to give you some ideas/common interests for potential starts:
aina:- a child who recently started fourth grade at an elementary school (k-5) for magical children called
ghislaine CYPRESS :^) academy in north barton! it would be great if your characters might volunteer, teach, or be student/parents there. general ed and magical ed courses of all kinds are available!
- aina lives in the outskirts of barton with her grandfather and father, usually, but she has recently moved in with her auntie leigh (common daizee's guardian!) and her uncle johan from january to may/june, and they are in downtown barton. otherwise, she visits gambino A Lot.
- generally just a bubbly kid who enjoys arts and crafts + writing/reading + music. she loves meeting new people and will always ask what they enjoy!
- she is also going to start writing a story involving a fantasy setting where her friends are princesses/princes/royalty of magical kingdoms with certain themes relating to their personality or essence (cruz, for example, will be the flower prince; cesc will be the sun prince, leigh is the ocean empress). if we develop our characters' relationship as buddies, we can totally discuss their involvement in this fictional setting!
and shorter descripts because wtf:
duncan:- works as a high school teacher in a project-based high school adjunct to blair university in downtown barton! wanna be a fellow teacher/professor on campus, student, volunteer, or other type of staff member???
- also works as a curator for durem historical museum's educational department! wanna be co-workers or visit the museum???
- SPOILERS he is going to be sick with flu -> pneumonia january to may/june! might your character be hospital staff/volunteer in barton somewhere???
- old man who loves socializing by playing chess at the park with his pals!! are you Old??? let's start an Old Person Coalition in lab.
mordekai:- works as a farmhand at hartline farms and is involved in selling produce across barton/durem/gambino farmer's markets throughout the year! need produce or to stock your cool business???
- loves to cook and work with animals!!! are you a chef or... work with animals??
- frequently goes to durem medical center since that is his primary hosp for prescriptions!!! might your character also be there???
- can generally just be in the background with duncan and aina and is also frequently in gambino. let me know if you want to have some Quality Dad Time between Dads
johan:- is a criminal defense attorney who works primarily pro bono cases in aekea but has clients throughout gaia!! i hope this is a non starter and that your character does not Need An Attorney, but are you a fellow lawyer - namely an associate, paralegal, or intern??
- works as a criminal justice focus or sociology general ed adjunct professor at blair university in downtown barton!! again, might your character work or be a student there??
- is dating leigh brighton (common daizee), who is Cooler Than Him and is seen around downtown barton and owns a tchochtke/novelty shop named the shy violet!! might your character be interested in visiting the shop for some Novelty Items??
- swing dances in his sparse free time!!! does ur character DANCE???
annie:- annie has sadly passed away, but she was still kickin' around 2011!!!
- she was a manager at a cool two-floor cafe/bookstore named the ladybird in downtown barton! might your character frequent there, or perhaps be an employee??
- are you generally seen around durem or barton, and do you love reading or socializing?? they could have been friends!!
