The Touched and Shifters
Shifters are a secondary human race native to Earth Prime, and are often analogous to furries. Shifters have 3 forms native from birth -- human, Anthro, and Feral. The Human form of a shifter is the 'default' form. They appear as any average human, however they have ears and a tail of an animal; or a beak, wings, claws... One or two of any appendage! This can mean scaly skin, feathers, paws, or more, including the generic animal-people. Many times, the anthro form is the animal-like face on a human body, much like a furry; and the feral form is merely that Shifter as an animal. However, many Shifters are always obvious. Like humans, fur, hair, and scales may be any number of colors, including unfortunate combinations. This makes them easily identified if they are not a 'mythic' race -- while mythics are rare, they are not unheard off -- in fact many breed to their own kind to increase numbers.
In terms of endurability, a Shifter is capable of everything a noral human is -- including eating chocolate, ETC -- their bodies are quite durable.
The Touched are a rather recent addition to the population. These sorts have genetic traits linked to a primary person from a different world, with minor from anyone else. The first of the Touched Ones known was discovered rather during the 19th century en a young man exhibited visuals similar to a book popular at the time. When he entered a rift and met the person he resembled, the connection was made.
The Touched may be of any race and at adulthood, or teenhood, are sent through rifts to meet the person they have a magic connection to. Often, these bonds are permanent, lasting until the death of one or both people. This is not always romantic -- nor safe. While those tied to villians might yet 'save' them, others may be prey to aiding them without say, depending on both people and the Touched's skill and knowledge of situation. As there are many worlds, there are many versions of someone -- but some are still more famous than others. Due to this link, many Touched may akso use summoning magic -- the first summon being their companion.

The Council
The Council is a group of leaders, good and ill, from allied worlds beyond the Rifts. The Council attemts to alleviate political concerns, while managing trade, however, the system is still heabily flawed, as every world has multiple nations with individual interests. To this end, many Councilmembers are corrupt and work to benefit themselves or their allies but not all. Others seek the true goal, Surprisingly, some enemies in some worlds are on the side aiming for bettwr cohesion, working for the goal of bettering all.
Commonly, the topics brought up involve trade of world-exclusive resources, immigration, and the threats posed by various worlds, however with corruption in the council, political agendas invariably end up in the equation. This has led to rumors that the corrupt councilmembers are, in fact, part of the Court of Shadows.

Pandora's Box
Taking the name of Earth Prime's wizarding academy, Pandora's Box is the group of Warlocks, witches, and Wizards of the various realms that seek to monitor and teach various arts across the worlds. While some keep 'lost' arts, it is rare to learn them. However, the Pandora's Box group are tightly knit, and work in their own way with their own loyalties.
Pandora's Box is called a guild by many, however, this is far from the case; There is a group of distinct leaders, some even infamous or famous for various reasons. Pandora's Box however has no close olitical alliances, minus instances of some magic guild leaders -- one famous group, the Coco Brothers of Hydaelyn, work very closely with their world's alchemy guild along with their Sultana -- however, this has benefit the Pandora's Box group greatly. It can be said the allegiances are the closest to [politics the group engages in, as Pandoran-trained mages often aid these militaries.

The Court of Shadow
Villians. Terrorists. Demons. There are many names for the Court, but all that is known is that they seek dominion over all worlds by any means necissary, and there are no organized groups fighting. The Council tries, but the Court may yet have ties to them, leaving them largely stopped by those with time, and energy, to fight.
