A cool, fresh breeze flowed through the open air within the branches of Laisidhiel's canopy. Normally, it would have been refreshing and a nice way to spent an afternoon, being completely distracted from pesky responsibilities, but unfortunately, those responsibilities were not so forgiving. A female Earth Mellon flitted through the branches, a rolled-up parchment clutched in her hands bearing the official seal of the Chieftain in melted wax. Its contents were intended solely for its recipient and the Mellon was doing her best to locate that particular Fauny.

She wasn't having the best of luck with that.

She knew enough that the pegasus fauny was supposed to reside up here in the branches of the canopy with many of the other pegasi, but where exactly to find her? That was proving trickier than she'd hoped. After some time, she'd given up and started asking anyone she saw. Someone had to know where Rainbow Dash lived, right?

If Krikit recalled, she wasn't exactly easy to miss, was she?

In a flurry of leaves that had involuntarily left their branches, Rainbow Dash darted into the tree. "Ah man! That felt great!" She said as she threw up her brakes to land on a branch outside her little nest/home.

She stretched her wings in and out, a cool down exercise after sprinting around the treetop a few times. This was the life for her, the breeze flowing through her mane, the freedom of an open sky. "I should track down Lightning Dust and give her a good race sometime." Rainbow Dash thought out loud as she finished her stretches. Rainbow Dash knew she would win, but a race with a fast friend always helped push her to be her very best.

Rainbow Dash took a seat, kicking up her hooves and admiring her wall of trophies. Each trophy had a precious memory attached to it, some of them even had important life lessons she had learned. Her eyes stopped at a pendant. Rainbow Dash laughed at the memory of competing to be the wife of the chieftain. It had been a relief that he hadn't been the actual prize, she wasn't sure what sort of chieftain's wife she would have made.

Relieved she'd finally found someone who had spotted the blue pegasus fauny on her way back to her abode, Krikit flitted in that direction, scroll still in tow. One of these days, she swore, she'd tell Rais he could run his own errands. Only right, considering the purpose of this. The Chief was doing it all wrong, but would he listen to her? Nooooo, of course not. Also, she could have been taking a nap, enjoying the pleasant breeze, the scent of the flowers blooming in the branches...

With a knock, she called out, "Miss Rainbow Dash? Are you home? I have a message for you!"
