It seems like ages ago that Shujin Academy was little more than a nondescript school tucked away in Aoyama-Itchome, known only for their relatively solid track team and the recent hire of a famous Olympic Gold Medalist to head up their Athletics and teach PE. But that was only two years ago, in fact. And in the past two years that little school has been the central hub of a string of scandals that would make even the infamous Shibuya 'School of Thugs', 'Cuss' High blush.

From the firing of the beloved track coach and suspension of the track club following an assault by their star runner, Ryuji Sakamoto, to the acceptance of an unusually troubled transfer student with a criminal record...on to the revelation of abuse and sexual assault by Suguru Kamoshida, the aforementioned Olympian. It was also there that the Phantom Thieves...infamous outlaws that shook the entire country...were said to get their start by 'stealing the heart' of Kamoshida...and that was just the beginning.

Following the resolution of the Phantom Thieves incidents and the death of their Principal Kobayakawa, who himself was tied up in the scandals, the reputation of Shujin Academy lies in ruins...but for the students who remain, there is little choice but to continue on with life as usual. And with the track team reinstated, the volleyball team looking to rebound, and a host of clubs looking to refill their numbers...not to mention a rededicated teaching staff out to prove they are nothing like those who lost their jobs to scandal...things, for the first time in two years, are finally looking up.

The school day had ended, and a short, air-headed freshman let out a light yawn, as she stretched her arms out above her head. Another day done, she clicked on the screen on her phone and opened a singular message; 'No need to hurry home, I'll be up until late tonight. Make you dinner whenever you get home.' No hurry, huh? Mei didn't exactly have much else to do before going home.
Despite her time in Tokyo so far, she hadn't really managed to make any friends. A few acquaintances and classmates she exchanged pleasantries with, but none really on the level where they could hang out. Mei never really was the best at getting past that initial wall in a friendship.
Letting out a small, internal sigh, she typed an affirmation to the message, collected her things and left for the hallway.
