April Fool's day was long over, but remnants of it still remained in the school house. Unfortunately for the school at the children who attended there, the 'terror trio' as some called them were still babs... and one of that trio had a taste for tricks and pranks. Hoax was so inclined towards them, that he had very easily forget just exactly what and how many traps he had placed in the school's playground area and outside; several just waiting for the unsuspecting victim to set one in motion. The one Hoax did remember very well and was spending his afternoon, laying in wait to see if today would be the day it went off. Hoax had buried spring loaded 'snakes' deep in the sandbox and underneath tools, so that when the sand was dug into or the sand pale moved, rubbery snakes would fly out at the unsuspecting phony who was playing there. Biblioburro I hope this works for you?

Really, a true prankster would know better than to do anything on April Fools, everyone expected a prank, the true impact of pranks was lost on a wary audience. Case in point, Wallflower had been on edge from the moment she woke up till the moment her head hit the pillow on April first, always looking over her shoulder, clearly a prime subject for some good, solid pranking. But now, many days after she had relaxed quite a bit, entirely unassuming that perhaps she might get swallowed up in someone else's prank fun.
The perfect mark.
And she liked the sandbox. She only played on the 'dangerous' equipment when her brother couldn't spot her, not because she believed she was in any sort of danger, but more to the point of not giving him a heart attack. Since swings were off limits that made the sandbox the next big thing. No one else really played in it since it wasn't much of a 'multiplayer' set up. At most she had another little pony working separately in the other corner. It made for a quiet, unexciting rece- SNAKES! Snakes! snakes.
Poor Wallflower was frozen in place, terror painted over her features. Her body was tense, hair ruffled and standing on end and eyes wide. Her lip trembled but the only sound that was coming out was a wheezing, soundless scream. Like the air being let out of a balloon. zippedsiren Work's wonderfully if I wasn't a dummy who opened it on my phone and then immediately frogot

A victim! Hoax was giddy as he watched the scene play out. The blue pegasus was practically perfect prey, digging about in the sand box unknowing about the misfortune that would befall her. Until pop! Out came the snake. Yet the reaction wasn't what Hoax had expected at all. The mer had thought for sure there would a scream of terror or delight, laughter when someone realized the joke... but this pegasus was frozen. Hoax had to wonder if maybe he broke her? Normally he would be over the moon at a successful prank done, but there was a pang of guilt that perhaps the pegasus filly did not appreciate the joke the way he did. Hoax came out of his hiding place and hovered over, coming up behind the pegaus. Placing a hoof on her back, he lightly tapped her. " You're reaction is priceless, 1 in a million, but you know.. don't have a heart attack or anything over some rubber." Hoax was truly a very emphatic colt...not. Biblioburro I am equally lame and suck at remembering

EEK!
Well that knocked her back into motion, and across the sandbox. Her wings still remained ruffled, but didn't stand open any longer, like they were ready to take off. The snakes were fake, that much she could gather once her heart had climbed back down her throat and into the place it belonged, but that didn't make her feel any better.
Really, Hoax setting her off a second time, touching her while she was still spooked just opened the floodgates, trembling lip and glossy eyes, the works. She didn't wail, but the pathetic way she sniffed and hiccuped was just as effective.
Forge was right. The world was big and scary and apparently mean ponies were out to spook you for fun.
Hoax was in for a whole lot of fun, empathetic or not he now had a problem and that problem would bring teachers if he didn't take care of it quick.zippedsiren Guess who super thought he replied to this

Almost soundless sniffling and watery eyes was much worse then the comatose state the filly had been in before. Hoax really had to wonder if this pegasus was broken. He waves his hooves in a quick manner up and down, "Whoa whoa whoa, don't start crying over a little joke. You get what a joke is right? It's funny. Why aren't you laughing?" He scooped up the little rubbery snake and shook it back and forth, to make it wiggle and flung it at himself. In mock jest he went 'ah!' before it fell down to the ground again and he smirked at it. Did the mer really need to explain how hilarious his practical joke was? "Don't tell me this the first time anyone has played prank on you?"
