Adamantine could feel the course of pure chaos in the air like crackling warm fire. The strong aura of chaos was something she knew well, and appreciated and for some reason, she just KNEW it was her general. It was like the idea of the pack was so ingrained in her, she would know the call of their Alpha from where ever he was.

How long had it been since she had seen Labyrinthite?...How long had it been since she had seen Chase? They were both important to the corrupt for many reasons, and the six months since his disappearance was hard. She had felt lonely, though she had met Alkaid and London because of it. She had met Epidote and Stellarite as well, deepening connections where she could in the negaverse until he came back. Though she didn't know what the other wolves did, it didn't matter. He was back now, so surely they would all gather.

She followed the trail of the general's aura, so certain it was him until she was close enough to see the crescent shaped scythe in the night sky, like the moon but more calming. She could see him perched on a building, though she couldn't see his face, and lifted herself up to the top floor. His back was to her, so she dare not sneak up on him.

"General." Her voice came out more relieved then she had thought it would,
"Laby...." Her voice a bit weaker now, "Is that you?"

Recovery took longer than he would have liked.

Between his inability to keep food down, body rejecting anything solid after months of subsisting off of starseeds and strange fruit that were more juice than fruit, and his injuries it had been at least two weeks before he was in a state where leaving the house was permissible. For the most part, except when she was at work, Priscilla remained at his side, constantly fussing over him.

He hadn't told anyone he was back, yet, because he was still assessing what he would do especially in the wake of the news he had provided him with.

Now, with his shoulder no longer aching from the dislocation, and the cuts and breaks in his skin having healed and weight beginning to come back, Chase had decided it was time. Each approach was handled carefully, tailored specifically to the wolf he sought out.

Adamantine was no different.

Unlike Tourmaline, who he had plans for his dramatic reveal, he intended to let his little star locate him on her own. There was something between them, not quite a ribbon of fate, but an undeniable bond. She would feel the pull and she would come.

Standing atop one of the tallest buildings in the city, General Labyrinthite stood with his scythe clenched tightly in his hand and his cape fluttering around him. He left her before he heard her, energy signature eclipsed by his own. "What's with the uncertainty, little star?" He asked, not bothering to turn around.

Uncertainty wasn't something that Adamantine was used to feeling when facing the only certain thing in her life at the moment. The pink and black reapers clothing, the rougher coarser voice, the large moon crescent scythe. He hadn't come to her, but she knew he didn't have too. She was merely there for him, as it would always be.

"You've been gone a long time." It wasn't an accusation, just a simple fact of what was. Her visit with Alkaid into the rift hadn't proved fruitful for the senshi's in locating him either. To see him now was almost a bit overwhelming. She wouldn't let it show on her face as she begin to walk closer to him. She would not sneak up on her general, and gave a wide berth around him and the reach of his scythe. He was the Alpha after all.

"Time has a way of building a bit of uncertainty." She crossed her arms, coming to a stop a scythe's reach of distance from him. To come closer, when she no longer knew his intent at the moment, would've been foolish. She didn't know the words to say to him, as it wasn't in her nature to utter useless things like 'I missed you' and 'I was hurt when you left'. Things that like that required feelings she had long abandoned. Instead she took in his appearance and anything that felt off or different. The rift had done something to him, and changed him, she could feel it but she didn't know how to explain it or word it.

"When?" She would tilt her head as she mulled over the way to ask, "or how long have you been back?"

Something cruel was in the way he grinned at her, all sharp points and white teeth that nearly glistened in contrast to the darkness that surrounded him. "I have, haven't I." He cocked his head, chin tipped up so his gaze was cast above to the polluted sky that still managed to show some stars twinkling faintly above them. "Things have crumbled in my absence." There was no accusation in his voice, merely fact or perhaps acceptance.

It was no matter, he could rebuild.

Something inside him paced angrily back and forth when it registered senshi as the one approaching. A growl rose in this throat, rumbling from it before his mouth was forced shut by the thumb of his gloved hand. No, he would stay in control. He was stronger than the desire.

Whiskey-gold followed her as she gave him space, noting that she left so much between them. Curious little thing his star had always been. "Not long. I am...still recovering." There was something feral in the way that he moved, in the way he took a single step forward, grip on his weapon shifting as he dragged it along with him. "Did you miss me little star?"

It was easy to tell the difference now that she was face to face with him.
The sort of crazed look and instead of the cocky grin he was known for it, it was sharp and pointed and terrifying. She shrunk a bit back, her eyes widening only a bit but other then that, her face remained unmovable in the face of the new one she saw before her.

"It's pointless for me to apologize about it." She wouldn't though, as she was not the leader of wolf pack nor did she hold any sway over anyone in the group.
Of the large pack, she only knew of Dia and Silk more. And they remained committed to the general. The others? Well, it didn't matter.

"I have stayed with Alkaid in your absence." The senshi let her leg slip from her dress, a sort of defensive step as his scythe moved with him. She knew him well enough to understand that there was something going on with him. The way he was towards her was not how she had been treated before.

However, the mention of his recovery made her c**k her head and her body relax. Not because she doubted his abilities to hurt her, but because she trusted that he would not push himself. "Yes." She answered bluntly, "I came to the rift to find you, but I could not. I looked for months, every night." her voice was not filled with emotion, though it sounded as if it should. Was she reporting to him in a way? Make him understand? "Alkaid and I looked together, but we could not find you." She took a step closer to him.

He nearly laughed at her. The idea of anyone apologizing for things falling apart to him was laughable. Somehow he managed to reign it in and his shoulders shrugged beneath the weight of his cloak. Behind him, fingers tapped on the spine staff of his scythe.

"How is the ascendant-general?" He asked non-nonchalantly. In truth he didn't care, the once-senshi was likely as she always was. Robotic and doll-like, with bits of her humanity flaring to life only in his company much like the boy of his youth clawed his way to the surface whenever they were around each other for too long and resentment got the better of him.

He noted the way she seemed to relax and he clucked his tongue in disappointment. Hadn't he taught her better than that?

Let me out, his beast snarled from it's confines.

Patience, he thought back at it. Let the little lamb come closer first.

"I was not meant to be found." He stated plainly, once again his shoulder shrugged and when she took a step closer things changed. Something snapped within him and a growl rumbled from this throat, weapon hoisted up and---

Labyrinthite swung.

Something was extremely wrong. Something shifted in the air and Adamantine had felt this tenseness before. It reminded her of the first time her father ever struck her, when she was younger. There was a change in looks.
A change in the way that held himself.

"She is fine." Ada blinked, because it felt like she was dangerously pressing her limits and she didn't understand why she felt that way with Laby of all people.
He was her safe space, he was the only one she could trust to never hurt her.
He was hers and she was his, so why would she ever question his behavior towards her?

She waited as he came closer, thinking that it would be his normal self, but instead she felt the immediate presence of danger. As the scythe swung out,
she was just in time to step back, only feeling the sheer force of the swing rather then the blade. Her eyes widened, and for once, Ada's face showed the array of emotions. Much like her fathers first hit, she stared at Laby in awe, fear, and underneath it all....betrayal. So profound and deep.

"If this is your way of training me...." Ada asked, in hope that it was, "Why were you not meant to be found Laby?" What happened? more importantly,
the woman though, What happened to him?

As expected, Alkaid was as she always was and it humored him.

Having missed however, that didn't amuse him. His grip shifted and he looked like he was going to lash out again when he shuffled forward. The scythe remained raised but he didn't strike, yet. The fear that passed across his face should have reminded him of who she was and what they were to each other but the bars of the cage within had burst and out came the beast he always harbored inside.

Control was unraveling and it showed in the way he tossed his head back and laughed. It was harsh, bitter, and downright maniacal.

Heavy skull went down and he leaned his weight into the curved spine staff, looking at her with amusement flashing in his gold eyes. "Am I scaring you little star?" He asked with a tilt of his head. Hands let go of the weapon and it stayed there, half lodged in the broken concrete from the impact of the heavy weight smacking against it.

His boots clicked as he approached her, one hand adjusting the singular glove he war. "If it was what would you do?" It wasn't like she could stop him.

"It doesn't matter, Adamantine. There are other things to worry about." Like him.

It was hard to differentiate from the Laby that was training her, to the one that had attacked order members, because both required a great deal of malice from him. He took both as seriously, for how could she survive if she was not forged in near death? But she knew, her general would never truly kill her, and pains he caused were with warning, and she chose to accept them. Not like this.

She had never felt her heart race as he laughed. Laughed, like her father laughed at her, when she was just a weak woman in his grasp. Wasn't that what she was right now? Weak? Much weaker then the general who was suppose to be her protector and mentor. He was laughing, and it wasn't from joy. It was from the predator finding his prey.

It was a wolf who was hunting.

"Yes." She answered immediately, "Whatever this is, yes, it is scaring me." She flinched even as he came closer, but for the first time (much like the first time she ever had been abused) she couldn't move herself. Fear, so fresh and so hindering kept her feet glued to the rooftop. His coming back, changed how he was, was the biggest worry of her right now. Who was this Laby? She had no idea how to handle this, when all she wanted to do was reach out and remind him, She was the little star. She was here for him too, She was his. Why was it felt like she was no longer there? No longer in his mind? "You told me...you wouldn't do anything to hurt me..." She whispered, "Are you going to hurt me General?" She couldn't move, she couldn't breathe. She held it all in as her fist curled in her dress, one last look of something...ANYTHING that was her general and not the overwhelming beast she saw before her.

Anything to remember that she shouldn't be afraid of him
.

Whatever this is, yes, it is scaring me.

The admission made him sneer and the look of fright on her face, reflected in those blue eyes of hers, made something akin to pleasure flash in the gold of his. When he spoke, he didn't quite sound like himself. "Good." The bars of the cage that housed his demons were splitting, the gate swinging wide open as they cried Senshi. Devour the senshi. The corruptors. The enemy.

For the terrifying moment, he was no better than the hands and the monsters behind the walls of the Hall of Shadows that reached and groped for the senshi that passed through them. They reached for him now, the call of the youma he'd been surrounded with for so long whispering in his ear as if they stood beside him and not back in the Rift where they returned when they crumbled to dust.

Reaaaper. What of the senshi? What good could they bring?

For a moment he stilled, like he was fighting something within himself.

They are wrong, destroy Reaper. Destroy~

"That was a promise from a man I am not sure exists." Sharp white teeth flashed at her and the scythe lifted, weighted between two hands. "Do you think you're capable of stopping me?" He asked, amusement in his voice when he laughed. "You look as weak as you did when I left."

The demons crawled from their cage.

His blade swung.

No.

No she knew this look. She knew these looks TOO well. Everything she thought had been safe, crumbled around her, every wall she had finally managed to build up...Every tough skin she had grown. Everything that had made her the Regan that Chase had befriended and coaxed and nourished simply fell away.

She no longer saw chase, but the same type of monster she saw in her father.
It was like the images rode together, overlapped and merged. She fumbled in her dress, reaching for anything of help. The communication crystal....or something to give her an outing of this situation.

"I should not be surprised...." Her voice was small, and even if she wanted to sting back at him, her words would mean nothing to the general. He was far past her. "No, I know I am not." She got the crystal out as quickly as she could, fumbling until she opened a channel to any of the wolves she know COULD help her with Laby. "Dia, Help. Laby is-"

The communication cost her though, as his blade swung and grazed at the arm holding the crystal, causing her to drop it. Her only line of safety rolling closer to the general, tapping his boot as she jumped back. Blood seeped from the deep cut on her arm, soaking into the torn sheer part of her outfit. She didn't bother to cover it with her other hand, drawing it up so she could summon her magic.

Anything to give her a moments head start.

"Do you think you can escape Regan..."

"You're just weak."

"Stop looking at me with those eyes. Your mothers cheating eyes. You-"

"You will die before you are ever free of me."

His was always a struggle, warring sides of the good soldier general and the once bright-eyed and clever boy, but if Chase were more in control he would have been horrified. Instead, he found that part of him locked in it's own cage, forced to watch as the good general risked ruining the very relationships both sides had sough to build and foster.

"At least you know your place little star," Labyrinthite sneered as he watched blood drip from her skin. Dully he registered her calling for assistance and the crystal that came to rest at his foot. He thought to crush it, but remembered what doing so meant.

No, he would not have reinforcements swarming them because his corrupt could not handle herself. Instead, he kicked it away and continued his slow stride to her, weighting the scythe in his hands.

"Aren't you even going to try and fight back? I thought I taught you better." Up went the scythe and out his arm extended.

Her place huh? To always be the weaker one, to always be under someone's heel, never at their side. That was what she was to Laby, a small accessory that he had gotten tired of. Now his true colors were coming out.

The true face behind the man she thought she knew better. She thought he'd be different. She wanted him to be.

Her face drew into a small grimace and then relaxed before she laughed. Cold and unfeeling. "Fight you general?" She looked around, "When I have no advantages? You trained me well, but also trained me to know if I could handle a fight or not. You are one I cannot." She brought her hand up to her lips and blew, "Stardust Cloud*" The seconds she would get from blinding him would be momentary and as soon as the dust hit, she dove again for her communicator.

"Sailor Dia." she spoke quickly, "General Labyrinthite is currently attacking me, I'm at-" She rattled the location quickly and then rolled just in case he swung his scythe blindly. "I would say I'm sorry General." She growled, "But I don't think it would matter."

Now all she had to do was survive until help came. If it did.

A surge of energy flickered and then a second set of heels clicked onto the rooftop of the skyscraper. Pink ringlets and bat wings unfurled as rose colored eyes determined the scene in front of her.

Eternal Sailor Dia had received a call - a cry for help, rather - but the blip had been devastatingly shortened before she could pinpoint the location it came from. When the second call had made it through, she'd wasted no time.

Adamantine was in one piece still, blessedly, but from the way the feral looking man across from her stood, it wouldn't have been for much longer. Blood dripped from both scythe and senshi, letting Dia know that he'd once again wrestled the beast inside of him and lost.

A handful of candies appeared as she called her eternal attack, scattering them between the General and his two subordinates. Satisfied with the temporary buffer, she reached down to take hold of the weaker senshi's hand, though her eyes remained trained on the monster posing as a man.

"May I remind you, General," she cooed sweetly while gloves wrapped themselves around Adamantine's arm, hoisting her up, "That not all of your wolf pups like to play as roughly as you do."

There wasn't much time - she had no doubt that he could take the jump to get to them, buffer be darned. Whatever magic the stardust senshi had cast wouldn't last for long and time was ticking. "You can have your pretty senshi back when you behave and play nice."

With that, the candy senshi disappeared, stardust companion in tow.

Nuxaz
Eternal Sailor Attack
Rock Candy Explosion
Sailor Dia conjures a handful (10-15) of small, rock-like candies, which she throws onto the playing field (radius and aim based on her personal throwing skill, no further than 10-15 feet and thrown in a frontal, cone direction). Once landed, these rock candies become magical mines, which trigger upon touch. Once triggered, they erupt into an explosion of sound and enough force to send an opponent back at least a few feet. Pain/result would be no more than superficial wounds and bruises. After 45 seconds, any untriggered mines disappear.

Labyrinthite remembered her magic and the cloud of stardust stole his vision for long enough that she could evade him and find her crystal again. A snarl ripped from his lips when he banished his weapon back into subspace because he needed to be able to concentrate on the sounds around him and the whooshing of the weapon would only obstruct that.

"Come out, come out where ever you are little star~" He said in too sweet of a voice, boots carrying him in a slow shuffle of feet.

If he could just--

May I remind you, General.

So his candy princess had heard the star's cry for help. What a pity. Dia's voice, however, was easier to pinpoint and follow. Unfortunately, it also led him to step directly into one of her candy mines. The sound was nearly deafening as it exploded in his ear and he was forced back only to find himself triggering a series of mines.

The explosions ended just as his vision began to clear and he got to watch as Dia not only scolding him but also taking away his little toy.

Pretty Miss Pink he would deal with later.

With a snarl, he too disappeared from the area.
