Lepus' first trip to her homeworld with Onnie and Etoile had resulted in them discovering the temple of Lepus and a picture book, which Lepus had taken home with her, purportedly telling the story of the very first senshi of rabbits. It had been a somewhat disappointing First Official Trip Into Space- there had been no ghosts or ghouls, no dead bodies, no haunted manors to visit. All of Lepus' expectations of her homeworld had turned into a massive letdown, and the preteen was almost discouraged to try again.

At the same time, Lepus wanted to find out more about the temple, and about this supposed first Sailor Lepus, as well as herself, the last Sailor Lepus. What kind of person was she? Did she know Onnie and Megumi back then as well? She and Etoile were content to refer to themselves as bonded senshi and cat, but Lepus hadn't discovered any hints about Etoile truly being hers.

After meeting Scylla and their talk, Lepus decided she wanted to try again, and this time invited the older woman along. It was mostly just for the sake of being nice, but Lepus also suspected that Scylla would want to keep an eye on her and Etoile, and so she had extended the invite to the senshi of kraken as a means of killing two birds with one stone- Lepus would have an extra pair of eyes to help search for any clues as to her past, and Scylla would be able to keep the chibi and kitten out of trouble... maybe.

Waiting in the park where they first met, Lepus sat on a bench, playing some music on her phone while she waited for Scylla to arrive. She had brought the picture book she had found last time with her, as well as extra snacks for Etoile, because Etoile was never truly full and very well may have possessed a black hole for a stomach, with the amount of candy she fed the kitten daily. Hopefully this wouldn't take long- Lepus was pretty certain that if her mother ever caught her out this late, she'd be grounded for life, if not shipped off to some foreign boarding school where Etoile wouldn't be able to follow.

(And who would take care of Etoi then?)

Scylla was flattered to have received an invitation to join Lepus and Etoile on their adventure to Lepus' homeworld. Honestly, while their meeting had been pleasant enough, she'd been uncertain what kind of impression she'd left on the two. To have left enough that she'd been invited back for a round two was high praise from a young girl and her sweets-loving cat; the senshi made certain to add a few bribes treats for Etoile into her bag when she came to meet them. Her impression had been that the cat was, accidentally or not, some bit the lead in determining their social circle, and so it would be to Etoile's stomach that she would appeal.

She always made herself a little bag of things when she went to Scylla, just in case, even though she had stocked the Temple with supplies over the years. She wasn't sure what the status was of Lepus' visits, so she had done something simi;ar with this bag- a gallon of water in the duffle along with her personal bottle, the snacks and sweets packed away from the potential squishing of the gallon.

But she'd also had to tuck her sibling-kids into bed; and then she'd hauled the massive duffel with her when she went to visit Caedus, dropping off another book and some of the leftovers from dinner with the literarily voracious alien, promising him she'd swing back by later. And then off again, hoping she wasn't running too terribly late. "Hi!" she called as she approached; "Hope I didn't make you wait too long."

Merurulince
no child leashes, only snack foods and a heavy weight.

Lepus had half-expected Scylla to bail on them, and to not show up, and indeed, she had been about to give up on waiting and go ahead without the eternal when finally, the older senshi showed up. Pausing the song currently playing on her phone, Lepus stood up from where she had been sitting on the bench, raising a hand in greeting.

"Oh, no, we weren't waiting long," Lepus said, "... Or at least, not super long?"

She declined to mention that she had been about to go on her own, and instead, eyed the duffel bag curiously.

"I've only been to Lepus once so far- with Onnie- sssoooo... I can't tell you too much, but I can tell you what we found so far," the chibi continued, "Or, I mean, well, I can either fill you in now, or when we get there?"

"We found a book last time!" Etoile added cheerfully, "It doesn't have a lot of text as much as pictures, though... Lepus thinks it tells the story of the first Sailor Lepus!"

Lepus offered no insight as to how she came to that conclusion, and instead picked up the bunny backpack she had brought with her. "Ready?"

"Sorry," Giulia said with a genuinely apologetic smile; "I had some quick stops to make and got out of the house a little late." she was quite glad they hadn't decided to leave her or something; she might not have blamed them, she understood the eagerness to see ones homeworld. She'd not dumped anyone who took too long yet, but she'd been really tempted! "but I come bearing some gifts, and I hope you'll forgive me."

Lepus peered at the bag, and Scylla swung it around, to let the other senshi see the bulging bag, though she didn't yet open it. "Just some basics. I've been stocking some food and water and the like on Scylla, and I thought a little adventuring kit would be a fun version of a housewarming gift. homeworlding gift? Semantics, I suppose. Actually, if you want to head there, we can talk on Lepus. It's a bit cold."

She turned her attention to the cat, reaching out a hand to offer to shake Etoile's paw politely. "Books are good! Especially the ones with pictures. And the older the better. Especially if it is the story of the first Lepus!" Scylla knew the legend of the first Scylla from memories; it would be amazing to possibly be able to see how the legend of the first Lepus went.

She held out her arm to let Lepus be the one to dictate their contact level; taking people was an extra strain, she knew, though she had never tried taking a guardian cat offworld. Why had she never taken Zirconia? An opportunity wasted. "Ready when you are, Lepus."

Merurulince
She has a cat. And children. And a sweet tooth. Etoile's favor or not, she needs her Snickers. Just not herself when she's hangry.

"Sure, we'll talk when we get there," Lepus said, and, after some pause, opted for linking arms with Scylla, while Etoile sat perched atop the girl's shoulder, a friendly enough level of contact that wasn't quite as awkward as handholding, because she didn't know how the older woman felt about that. Or was it just that Lepus wasn't sure how she herself felt about handholding?

(Really, it was maybe just that she wanted to be seen as not a child.)

"Okay, so here we go!" the chibi senshi declared, holding out her phone, and, pressing the button she had pressed last time, she concentrated on the island temple of Lepus she had visited with Onnie last time. In no time at all, they arrived, to the temple that sat in the middle of an island, surrounded by water. It looked no different from the last time she had visited, though it wasn't really like Lepus knew what she expected.

"So... here we are."

It was easy to obligingly link arms with the younger woman, and as Scylla was fairly short, it wasn't very difficult physically, either. The girl seemed familiar enough with what she was going, and Scylla kept a firm grip on the bag as the world around them faded, to be replaced with another, also unique, planet. It was nice to be spending time with someone who wasn't hired help or her children, and it mattered... surprisingly little that Lepus and Etoile were younger.

She would take what she could get, and she would be grateful for the interaction. How could she not be?

As the trio came to on Lepus, Scylla kept her eyes open, peering around the area attentively. It seemed to be a pretty enough little area, an island with no beach that she could see. The building in front of them was of a different style than on Scylla, and than on Ida; still different, even, than the Wonder she had visited. Every planet had something unique and different about them. The lake seemed peaceful enough, and everything seemed... quiet. It was not, that she could hear, the rushing crash of waves on shore. If anything, it was placid lapping. There was not the rustling of wind through tunnels in islands that still didn't float where they should.

It was different, and it was lovely in its own way, and Scylla let her appreciation show as she carefully un-linked her arm from Lepus' and peered around at the homeworld. "It seems lovely," she said after a moment; "What do you remember about it, so far?"

"What do I remember? Not much," Lepus said, after some thought on the matter. She seemed happy enough that Scylla seemed to admire her world, compared to Onnie, who had kept sneezing at all the dust, and it was perhaps that that led her to go on in further detail.

"I remember the book, the one I found last time? I remember being given it- because it was supposed to explain why I got 'chosen' to be Lepus," she explained, referencing the picture book she had been talking about earlier, "Though according to the book, the first Lepus was supposedly some rabbit that got turned into a person, so I'm not really sure how it adds up."

"Anyway, I think they gave it to me because I wasn't from Lepus, but actually another world, so it was supposed to be easier for me to understand- I think that's what they said."

In the memory, she had been younger than she had been when Pippin had awakened her nearly four years ago, so Lepus suspected that had something to do with that as well. Still, she was at a loss as to where she was really from, if she was supposedly not a native to this world.

She couldn't say she was surprised that Lepus didn't remember much, at least not yet. Scylla had been visiting her planet almost weekly since the ability had been rediscovered, minus the time when she had found out she was pregnant, or been in rehab. If doctors didn't even want her doing international travel while under their care, intergalactic would probably have been an extreme no. But even she didn't remember more than scattered bits of memory. Almost nothing, all in all.

"I have to admit that being a rabbit turned into a human is a much cooler story than mine. And you have a book, which is fantastic. I'm not even sure Scylla had a written language of their own, or if they just stole it from people who made the unwise decision to try and visit uninvited." or without telling anyone that they were visiting- she could remember the decisions to let the ships go down, and then adventuring out to cannibalize the wreckage and clean up the corpses. Scylla's fauna protected itself, whether the planet had a senshi or not.

It interested her that Lepus had been a senshi found off-planet. "Do you know where you were from?" she asked with interest. "I'd love to see the book, if I can. I love learning or seeing little bits of history, even if I can't read it.

Where was she from? Lepus wasn't too terribly certain, herself, with this being only her second trip to her world (or, to be technical, the world whose senshi she was). If she stopped and thought about it, though, she could almost picture...

A workshop (atelier) filled with flowers, sitting in the middle of a large field, also filled with flowers. The workshop was miles away from the nearest village, but people still came from all over A small walkway connected to a bridge crossing the river nearby, which led to the workshop's entrance; outside, a simple sign hung by the doorway- 'Atelier Annabelle', it read, but people more commonly knew the owner by an entirely different name...

"-Eriphyla," Lepus concluded, frowning; it was both an unfamiliar and familiar name at the same time, and she wasn't yet certain of what her connection was to this 'Annabelle' person, but she had her suspicions. "Eriphyla is the world I'm from, I think?"

"Oh, and sure- you can borrow the book whenever you want," the girl added, "You can borrow it when we get back, even, if you want."

She peered around, rising to tip-toes and staring around the planet with curiosity. "Let's go inside," she suggested eagerly, turning bright eyes on the girl and her cat. "I've never heard of Eriphyla..." her lips pursed in consideration. Her cell phone tugged out, Google was her webpage of choice. 462 Eriphyla, discovered in 1900. No other real information, unfortunately. Not on what it had been named after, or anything else. Interesting.

"I won't borrow it, it's yours," she said softly, "But I'd like to look it over for just a little bit. I'm nosy. Maybe next time we meet up you can show me. It's no hurry." she spun again, excited. "It is really lovely here, Lepus. You could have picnics by the water, just listen to the silence? So different from the city. Work on your projects here, make yourself a lovely little sanctuary when you need some time away?"

"I dunno much about it, either," Lepus said, shrugging, "I just remember a workshop full of flowers, and the sign outside."

She supposed she would have to do a lot of digging around, to find out if there was a Sailor Eriphyla in the present, to ask them what they knew about the past, if anything at all, but she could dwell on that thought later. Instead, Lepus made a bit of a face as she contemplated Scylla's words, thinking about things.

"It would be nice to have a secret hideout..." she mused aloud; certainly, a place away from home, where she wouldn't be bothered by her mom or baddies was a very alluring concept. "It'd be a lot of work to clean up around here, though."

And while Lepus wasn't exactly a slacker like a certain friend of hers was, she was still only just one person. Still, it was something to think about.

"But oh- yeah, we can go inside," Lepus finally said, realizing Scylla had suggested they head inside the temple, "We didn't manage to fully explore the place last time- me and Onnie- I hope we can find something cool this time."

"Flowers sound like a lovely memory,"
Scylla breathed, and wondered if she would ever have a memory of something so simple and lovely. She could remember the corals, the island jungles, and violence. She wasn't sure that Andromache had ever had flowers.

"Secret hideouts are A-plus," she wheedled softly, grinning. "What's a little elbow grease next to your own place, just for you? No one to tell you you can't paint a wall, hang a drape, throw a little party?"

She grinned unrepentantly. "You bring the soda, I'll bring sandwiches and cleaning supplies."

Lepus agreed to explore the temple more, and Scylla practically bounced forward, dark curls bouncing against her mostly-bare back. "If we avoid places you have already been, we're sure to find adventure and cool stuff. Right Etoile?"

"Oh, yes!" Etoile said cheerfully, as the trio made their way to the temple entrance. She had kept quiet until now, possibly counting down the hours (minutes) until it was snack time, as was her nature. "We'll find plenty of neat things."

What was that word again? Space archaeologists? Pioneers? She couldn't remember. Continuing to oversee things from her perch atop Lepus' shoulder, the little cat was content to quietly continue tagging along for now, having been lured by the promise of snacks into tagging along in the first place.

Reaching the temple entrance, Lepus slowly pushed open the heavy doors; she had yet to think of the idea of propping open the doors... or maybe it was simply that she didn't know her own world's weather patterns enough yet to want to leave it open. Who knew what could happen, that could ruin the whole space archaeologist thing?

"So does that mean you'll help?" the girl asked, suddenly eager to know, "Because I will totally take you back here whenever you want, whenever I can, if so."

Scylla helped Lepus push open the heavy doors, more than happy to throw her muscle behind something as potentially fun as a little tour through some thousand year old buildings. It was always fascinating- she had never been in the really old buildings, but some planets preserved differently, and it seemed to be tailored to the pleasure of its senshi, so far.

"Of course I'll help," Scylla promised with a grin. "Next time we come I'll make sure I have some gloves and stuff to clean a bit, and we can have at this place with a vigor. Maybe this time, we can pick one room to make our "base" for the next times we come? Someplace easy to find, and we can clean it out first and store stuff in it for when we come later?"

A small room would be better, but she would let the owners of this place guide the way.

"Where should we start?"

Where should they start first? Lepus contemplated that for a second, as she thought about what little she had uncovered her first go around. Realistically, the small senshi knew that there was no way she'd discover everything all at once, but it would have been nice to discover a map or some blueprints like how exploring abandoned (and maybe hopefully haunted) temples went in videogames.

(And, well, dungeons in general.)

"I dunno," Lepus admitted with a shrug, "There's a lot of rooms we haven't checked out yet- there's like, stairs going up and down, too? I already checked out the, like, church part? We could check out the rooms behind it?"
