The appointment for her bike was just after noon, which meant that Austen took at least an extra hour to leave, get lost, find her way again, get lost once more, and then once more find the right road before she actually made it to the shop approximately three minutes to noon.
At least she wasn't late. Austen swung her leg over the bike, stuffed the keys into her jacket and her helmet under her arm, and proceeded to amble over to the front entrance, swinging the door open with probably more gusto than was strictly necessary.
"Hellloooo?" she called, voice light, eyes wide with curiosity. "Anyone here? Yoo hoo!"

Normally the garage was busy in the afternoons, but today was the Car expo and most of the team, including her uncle, had left to walk the expo and check out the different cars and new styles of engine works. Since Regan was alone, her uncle had booked as few appointments as he could for her.
She had just about finished on the 10 o'clocks bike when her next one came in. "Hello." She stood up, after brushing her hands off on her overalls and directing the bike to sit in the safe location outside of her work station. Her gaze landed on the woman, with her rainbow attire/hair and tattoos before looking up.
"Are you Austen?" Her voice remained monotone, as the bike was parked. "If you are, please check in at the counter, I'll be right with you."

The mechanic turned out to be a small young woman with a tumble of white and blue curls and a neutral expression on her pale face. Austen gave her a wide grin and a salute, the multicolored bracelets on her wrist jangling merrily with the movement.
"That's me," she said brightly, sweeping her own hair off of her shoulders. "And you must be Regan, you look just as darling as was mentioned, hi!"
At the counter, she scribbled her name on the welcome sheet, added a small heart to it, and then promptly flopped into one of the chairs meant for waiting, plunking her helmet down on the chair beside her. Austen's gaze roamed around the shop, wide-eyed and curious, her legs swinging beneath her.
"This place is brilliant, I love a place with a good lady mechanic, too many are run by men these days."
