Having sent Leto her message, Acubens clapped her compact shut and made her way to the park. It was still deeply scarred from the attack of the rogue mirror wraith, but that only ensured that they would not be bothered while Acubens asked her questions. Questions that had been rattling around her brain since her conversation with Scylla. The only issue was that Acubens was unsure of how to word her questions so as not to offend. She also wasn't totally sure where to begin with her questions. She supposed at the beginning but... what even was the beginning? Who was Ares before she was Queen? What was the Blood Moon Court? What opened Ares up to Chaos? How violent had you become before the fall? Everything beat against the walls of her mind, fighting to be the first one out. Confusion bred anxiety, and anxiety made her pace, so Acubens paced. Up and down, back and forth, wringing her hands together while she wanted for Leto to show up. She had to organize her thoughts before she spoke out of turn. Before she said something that would offend her good friend. Her princess.

After the... Incident in the park, the last thing Leto wanted to do was face the Dark Mirror Senshi that had also been a part of it. But when someone called, there was no way that she could ignore it. Especially when it was Acubens. The Dark Mirror Princess brought her into all of this, so the least she could do was show up when asked, even if she didn't want to show her face to anyone. When Leto received the message from Acubens, she stared at her compact mirror for a long, silent moment. She wanted to talk-- about what? What happened at the park? Scylla? Something else entirely (hopefully)? Either way, no good ever came from anyone ever needing to talk. With a heavy sigh, Leto clamped her compact shut, pushed it away to subspace, and walked through a mirror. As she mirrorwalked, she shifted into her Eternal form to avoid drawing attention to herself. When she stepped out of the mirror and walked out towards the park, to where Acubens asked her meet, she cleared her throat to make herself known. When their gazes met, Leto offered the other Eternal Senshi a smile. "Hey Acubens," she said nervously. She hadn't really had a chance to talk to her since the Madness overtook her in the park, so this whole thing made her incredibly uncomfortable- and it was obvious.

Turning to greet Leto, Acubens winced at her shame. Maybe she should have waited longer, maybe she should have... just left it alone... Was knowledge really worth Leto's pride? Her comfort? She's our princess. Her court comes before her. As it comes before you.Acubens nodded to no one and forced herself to press on. The court came first. The court came before her love of Leto. Before her need to keep her comfortable and safe. It came before her nerves and her discomfort. It came before Leto's shame. It came before everything. And if Acubens was going to reach her goals of learning every last this that she possibly could about her court, then she had to remember that. After all, the knowledge that she was collecting was for the greater good. It was going to be their advantage, their weapon, and their shield. No one would blindly follow. "Leto," she finally sighed, reaching out her scarred arms to her friend. "How are your wings healing, sweetheart?"

"That's the great thing about magical wings," Leto said with a smile as she hugged her friend, because their friendship meant more than her embarrassment. "They heal rather nicely when you power down and back up again." The rest of her was a completely different story, however. She hoped that Acubens was okay after the battle, but she very much didn't want to talk about the Madness they had endured if she could avoid it. She pulled back from the other girl, her head tilted to one side just slightly. Her long, pony-tailed hair pooled over one shoulder as she scratched nervously at the nape of her neck. "So..." Not one to beat around the bush, Leto decided to just say '******** it' and jump right in. "What's up? You wanted to talk?" May as well bite the bullet. It had to be better than talking about their injuries. ...Right?

Leto wanted to get back to business, and Acubens would follow her lead. She nodded and fiddled with the hems of her skirts before she finally spoke again. She measured her words carefully, trying to find the right ones before she gave them life. Once again, as was her way, Acubens lifted her eyes to the starlit sky, in search of the star from which she drew her power. "That... woman in the park," Acubens began carefully as she lowered her eyes to Leto again, "The one with the dark hair. Scylla... I met her before, before the park. She happened upon me collecting energy and we somehow... I can't recall how... got on the topic of... the Blood Moon Court..." Was that the right name? Or had it been the Full Moon Court? New Moon? Something Moon... "she said that was where Ares came from. That's where you came from. I was wondering if you can tell me about that night." Suddenly, Acubens was worried that she had crossed a line, that she had gone into territory where she was not welcome. And so, as was her way in situations like these, her mouth overrode her mind and acted of it's own accord. "I mean, the senshi coming in now... they know so little. I know so little. We know what Remarque knows, but only so long as we think to ask. But not everyone does." She was back to fidgeting with her skirt, pulling at loose threads until they came out in her hands and then coming on to others. "I wanted to compile a bank of... of information. First of where we came from as a court, and then moving to the present. Recording what I can, see?" Acubens produced for Leto the composition notebook that she had begun keeping, opening it to her sparse notes mostly on energy gathering and the wraiths. "That way no one has to think about the questions they want to ask. All they have to do is look here. They can have their questions answered before they even ask them. But... we need to know our roots... and..." she was running out of reasons and she realized that she had been rambling. She offered Leto a small smile as apology and finished, "but if you don't want to talk about it, that's fine too."

Leto's automatic reaction when Scylla was mentioned was to cringe- like her body moved on its own accord. The brunette stood silently, listening to Acubens as she rambled- picking up on the key words, really. Blood Moon Court.
Ares. Her red eyes moved to watch Acubens' nervous hands, pulling at the threads of her skirt, then back up to stare at the notebook that the other Eternal Senshi and procured from subspace. She swallowed, and stood in silence for a moment... Taking in everything that Acubens had said. Before she offered up her origin story, she needed to know what slander Scylla had told her. She needed to know which bits and pieces had been left out, changed, manipulated to make Ares look bad. To make herself look bad. Well, to make herself look like the bad person she actually, truly was. "What did she tell you?" She would talk about it- it wasn't often that Leto let people in on what had happened that night... But if Scylla was out there telling the world how the Dark Mirror Court was born, then she needed to be prepared to set the story straight.

What had she been told? Oh gosh. Acubens nodded and thought back to that night... she had been told so much, not sure what parts of it to believe. "Umm... she talked a little about these things called... parallels? What were their names? Alexandros... Nehelenia... Laocoon? Where there an Aphrodite? Others, but I can't remember the names. She said that they were like Sailor Moon and Endymion," whoever they were, god the more she thought about how Scylla was saying things for shock value, the angrier she got. It was beginning to show in her voice, in her expression. Her brows were knitting together and her words were becoming harsher. she stopped fiddling with her skirts and she was having an easier time looking at Leto, no longer afraid that was she had learned was forbidden. All she had learned was that the White Moon was now into fear mongering. That was all. Not that she was surprised at all... if her own experiences within the court had been any indication. Fear and hate. If Scylla wanted to talk about a court functioning on lies, maybe she should be looking inward before she criticized other people. "But she said that they died. Well, some of them did. Then she talked about things getting violent. That Ares broke the rules... she didn't say what that meant. She didn't really tell me what anything meant. She tried to scare me by saying things like... the court being about revenge and Ares abandoned her family in the name of Chaos... and I mean I know that we're chaos, but we're not like them," her voice contorted around the pronoun, refusing to even dignify the agents with a name. "We're different. I know that we are. And when I tried to explain that to Scylla she refused to listen." Acubens shrugged and continued, "but she said to talk to you, so here I am. Trying to get another side of the story."

Leto's head nodded a few times as she listened to Acubens recounting what Scylla had told her. The slightest sigh escaped her lips when she realized that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. There would be some damage control, perhaps, but Scylla could have definitely done and said worse. "Ares was a Parallel Senshi. They were White Moon, but from a parallel universe to our own. I never met Nehelenia or most of the Parallels, but Scylla was correct in that most of them died and I unfortunately don't know many of those details. After they died, Ares... Wanted more. She wanted her family back so she and other high-ranking Senshi came together and created the Blood Moon Court." The Eternal Senshi couldn't help but smile when thinking of her Court - her original court - while there was animosity, the Blood Moon was once her home. Her family. "The Blood Moon Court..." Leto sucked in a deep breath, and exhaled slowly. "The Blood Moon Court was a group of Senshi with ranks, strict rules, combat training, branding their members, the whole nine yards. It was a Big Deal, being a Senshi that truly fought against the Negaverse, that stooped to their level. We were damn good at it too, but I'd be lying if I told you there wasn't violence involved. Scylla was right about that, considering she was a part of the Court as well." Scylla was practically her mentor. She killed for Leto- she meant everything to her- but revealing that to anyone would allow room for weakness and there was no time for that s**t. So Leto stood up a little taller, a little prouder, a little stronger. Because that was what the Blood Moon taught her. "But Ares was never a White Moon Senshi, no matter what Court she belonged to. She wanted her family, she wanted Mirror Walkers. She wanted people like her. So she sought it out, found a way to do it, came back to us and took myself, Gaia and Requiem with her. The remaining Blood Moon Court disbanded without Ares' leadership, as far as I am aware. We did a lot of bad things back then. Like, pretty shitty things, and I won't deny that. But Ares was." Leto paused, "Ares is inherently a good person, and she tried to make up for what we did, in our alliance with Tanzanite and the Negaverse. Obviously not everyone agreed with that." Realizing that she just spewed a lot of names and information at the other Senshi, Leto took a break. "Does... Any of that make sense? I'm sorry, that was a lot. But I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. It's all out in the universe anyway, there's no use in me running from it."

Now it was Acubens' turn to fall silent and nod. Leto was right: it was a lot. A lot of new information. Parallel universes, parallel senshi, blood moons, all of it swirled around her skull in a confusing torrent of clashing information. But one thing, at the very least, rang out true above the rest of it. Remarque had said that they were looking for a home. He'd told her that long ago when she still wore white. And Leto had said that now. Ares was looking for her own. She had been told a lot in a few seconds, and not all of it jived with what she had told her court believed in. But in that, at least, she could have faith. That her court, although chaotic, had been born with the best of intentions. "I mean... yeah, objectively it makes sense. It's just... you're right, it's a lot." So many questions. "Okay, so I've got... a bunch of questions." Too many. And she couldn't grab on to just one, either, so they call kind fo came out in a broken shamble of fragments. "So were the parallels... What do you mean mirror walkers... Scylla said Ares broke... why chaos, then?" Acubens stopped herself short, put her hands out in front of her as though to physically stop herself, and took a deep breath, trying to parse out what she wanted to ask. "Okay. First off, you said that the parallels were Mirror Walkers. Do you mean like us? And if we are like the parallels, then how come we're aligned with chaos if they were, presumably, white moon?"
