With a starseed in hand Uvarovite made his way though the castle toward Aurostibite's office. He figured the General would appreciate having the crystal given over to him and if he was honest with himself he was going to take the excuse to see the other man. For once he didn't get lost on his way around the castle and found the office easily enough. Knocking lightly he nudged the door open, "General, may I have a moment of your time?" He hoped he wasn't interrupting anything important. Though he assumed that if there was something going on the door would have been locked.

The office was a not a large thing, but it was big enough for Aurostibite to keep the files of his officers as well as a nice desk and a nice chair, with a second chair on the opposite side of the desk for others to sit on. Sometimes he graded papers here, when he couldn't do them at home; and sometimes he came just to browse idly through the information on his recruits.
He was doing precisely that when the knock came. Aurostibite lifted his head, eyes narrowing ever so slightly behind a pair of black rimmed glasses, the perpetual frown of thought still on his face.
"Ah," he said, recognition dawning. "Uvarovite. Yes, do come in. How are you?"

He stepped into the office, taking in the similarities between this one and the one back at Romanos. He kept those comments to himself though as he walked over to stand beside the extra chair in the room. "I am rather well all things considered. This has been a rather ... interesting turn of events in my life." One he appericiated since it meant he was no longer bored. "I do have something for you though. I surmised it would be best to turn this in to you." He dug into the pocket he didn't keep his watch in and pulled out a softly glowing crystal, holding it out to Aurostibite.

Like the office at Romano's, this one was lacking in decorations, save for a single picture frame on Aurostibite's desk that had a photograph of himself and Durumi together. A stack of file folders sat off to the right side of his desk top, and one other folder lay open in front of him. The name on the top was mostly hidden underneath the papers inside of it, but the first few letters - "WIL" - were visible.
"Good," said Aurostibite, reaching up to take the glasses off, setting them down on top of the file. "I hope that along with interesting, it's also been lucrative."
He lifted his brows at the offering before reaching out a gloved hand and accepting it, letting the glow spill over his fingers. Aurostibite's expression was rarely anything other than neutral, but there was a faint flicker of approval in his voice.
"Well done. I see you're learning well."
Aurostibite set the starseed down on his desk and leaned back in his chair, surveying Uvarovite with consideration.
"What else have you learned?"

Once Uvarovite handed over the crystal he flicked his coat out of the way and sat down in the chair across from the, his General. He didn't miss the approving expression and was glad that collection the starseed wasn't above regulations for someone as new as him. The question though ... The first few answers that came to Uvarovite's mind he let go without saying. The Negaverse did have rules after all. He didn't bother to stop the smirk from curving his lips though "That I believe is the most interesting trick I have learned and you did make it seem so easy. Other than collecting energy as required I have been spending most of my time here in the Rift. The youma are," He paused for a moment to think of a good word. "Interesting creatures. One appears to be stalking me but hasn't been hostile as of yet."

"Starseed pulling is an integral part of the Negaverse," said Aurostibite. "It's important for all of us to learn it, which you have done well, so I'm glad to see of it. Just make sure to keep yourself from doing it often enough that it causes problems. And don't eat them."
He had heard of the people who ate starseeds for energy, the ones who became hooked on them, the ones who went too far. Aurostibite tapped his pen idly against his desk, brows raising.
"Stalking you? It could be one that you could possibly bond with," he said, after a moment. "The youma are peculiar in their methods, and can be unstable, but if you find one that you can work with, they can become excellent allies."

"So far that is the only one I have taken but I would assume that the police finding too many bodies without any noticeable cause of death would cause some commotion." There were only so many 'mysteriously dead teens' you could get before it got around to the newspapers. Uvarovite did chuckle softly at the comment on eating them since Katrina had said much the same thing. That seemed like a warning that should come when you were brought into the Negaverse. About the youma though he nodded. "I've only seen it a couple of times near where a lot of ferals congregate but it isn't one of them. They're frightened of it and it seems far smarter. We can bond with them though?"

"Yes, and though we do have contacts within the police department, getting them too involved is...extremely risky," said Aurostibite with a nod, fingers running absently along the edge of a folder on his desk. "It's something we need; however, focusing your time on energy gathering is a much more worthwhile path, in my experience. And stopping Order, of course."
This last part was added with a hint of malice to his tone, Aurostibite dropping the folder and propping an elbow on his desk, resting his head sideways against the tips of his fingers.
"Yes," he said, "They can become allies and partners if you're careful and go about it the right way. However, if you push too far, you will be in danger of merging with them, and that is not good at all."

"Tourmaline said something similar about the starseeds. I was assuming she had some sort of first hand experience as to the effects. That we can make partners of the youma is interesting though." The feral ones that wandered around the areas of the rift he tended to frequent didn't seem like they would make good pets. The larger ones though? Those could be interesting. If he could convince one to join him. "I will try to keep my starseed gathering to a minimum then. I wouldn't want to cause tension with the police." It was most likely hard enough for the leaders to keep things under control as it was given the news and the preference of both their own kind and the Order figures.
