It was late by the time Bloodstone got off work, but after being stuck in the hospital for forty-eight hours, he knew there was very little time for him to collect energy before he slept, and then woke himself back up with probably too much coffee.
There seemed to be another Lieutenant in the area, and while Bloodstone normally kept to himself, he was curious as to whether or not it was any of Aurostibite’s other recruits. It was good to work together when they could, after all.
“Good evening, Lieutenant,” he greeted quietly as he approached the other man on the rooftop, overlooking the city. “Were you patrolling this area? I didn’t mean to intrude,” he explained, figuring it was best to give the other space if that was what he wanted. He hadn’t seen the other Lieutenant before, but then again, Bloodstone hadn’t had much of a chance to meet many, what with his work schedule. hanging gallow Sorry for the wait! It had been one of those days, the small lab seemed far too cramped and too many pathologist seemed to cross his path one too many times for his toleration. There was frustration that went along with it, the fact that he seemed to be no closer to discovering an answer not only in his own work but with the situation that involved his General, or should say former General now. The lack of sleep could be seen under his eyes as he paced along the roof as if struggling to debate to leave on patrol or to stay behind tonight and to work even longer and push ahead ignoring the fatigue. It wasn’t until the other Lieutenant spoke that Chalco turned to look to see the uninvited guest. Glancing him over Chalco turned back looking at the city shaking his head. “Evening to you as well and no I was not particularly patrolling this area so you are welcome to do as you please.” Guine No worries and it looks great to me OoO

When the other Lieutenant looked his way and told him he was welcome to do as he pleased, Bloodstone nodded his head and was in the process of turning to leave, because he wasn’t really one to make small talk.
Ah, but it would do well to meet others from the Negaverse for networking, he supposed. He was more concerned with just filling his quota and making sure his General was pleased enough about his work. It was difficult to have enough time to get anything done since he was usually working, but Aurostibite seemed understanding enough.
“Lieutenant Bloodstone,” he introduced himself after another moment of hesitation. The other man didn’t look particularly interested either, so he would just make it quick. “Have you been with the Negaverse long?”

There had been a reason Chalco had taken the job in the lab versus dealing with patients twentyfour seven and that was because his ability to handle and care about small talk was dismal at best. It wasn’t that he couldn’t put on a smile and pretend, that part was easy it was the part that it started to bore him and did very little to help his work. He had assumed the other man had left but was surprised when he spoke again, not that the lack of expression on his face gave it away. “Ah… well pleased to meet you Lieutenant Bloodstone. I guess you can call me Lieutenant Chalcopyrite, or just Chalco for short considering it’s a bit of a mouthful.” He looked at the man over his shoulder and gave a bit of a shrug. “Not really, I’ve only been around a few months but I haven’t had as much interaction with everyone I assume as I should.”

Bloodstone simply nodded when the other spoke, understanding what the other meant by not having as much interaction as he probably should, mostly because it was the only reason Bloodstone had bothered staying around longer than he really wanted. There weren’t many people who’d approached him when he first started. Aurostibite, of course. He’d seen some kind of potential in him. Hydra had approached him as well. And Reinerite, but they were all part of Aurostibite’s recruits. Otherwise he wouldn’t have expected them to bother.
But the other was giving him no signal of interest in him or their smalltalk, especially with the way he kept his back to Bloodstone and only looked over his shoulder. Having dealt with people on a daily basis, Bloodstone had no intent on overstaying his welcome. But it wasn’t that he thought poorly of the other for being uninterested as Bloodstone was the same way about many things.
“I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors, Lieutenant Chalcopyrite,” Bloodstone said with a small nod in the other’s direction. He supposed he should have offered to help the man, maybe give him some advice, but that wasn’t Bloodstone’s responsibility, nor did he know this man well enough to really care. It was just a courtesy that he’d spoken to him in the first place.
