Tinaksite was looking for more senshi. She was always looking for senshi…it was just what she had to do. Her job. Her way to get the tickets for the party. Sometimes…sometimes like tonight, it was very boring though. There were no senshi around ever, and she had been looking, looking everywhere. All she had seen so far was a few drunks and some weirdo dressed as a clown with a bunch of balloons clutched in his hand.
This city was full of strange people and it didn’t do much to make her like it anymore.
With a sigh, the lieutenant moved away from the area she was watching and jumped over a few rooftops, scanning the streets as she jumped and pausing, glancing back over the edge of one of the roofs when she saw a mess of bouncy blonde curls.
Mags.
Well, at least maybe this would be a good thing to do tonight. She was alone, and that was dangerous.
The city was dangerous.
Quickly, Tinaksite hopped off of the rooftop and landed behind the curly haired girl who was her best friend in the whole world.
“It is dangerous to be alone. Why are you?” So maybe that sounded a little creepy, but honestly Tinaksite thought it sounded fine. She never bothered to worry about sounding creepy.
Even though…she did a lot.
It was a curse.

For once, Mags was not powered up. She'd gotten off work at the Waffle House at around eight, giving her enough time to stop by the local quick-mart to grab a few essentials. Essentials being, of course: milk, waffle mix, bread, waffle mix, eggs, waffle mix and a bag of chips to snack on later. She wasn't sure where the chips had come from - just some random salty craving that needed curbing. Her Waffle House blouse and nametag were still on, along with her dark slacks. It blew her mind why such an establishment wouldn't allow denim, but there were some fights just not worth fighting. The hat had been removed, leaving a mess of hat-hair curls bouncing around with each step as she headed in the direction of her apartment complex a few blocks over. As the thud hit the pavement behind her, she nearly jumped out of her skin and dropped the grocery bag she'd loosely hung on to. Whipping her head around, she stared at the strangely-clad girl. Although she wasn't in senshi form, she didn't get a terribly good feeling coming from the woman. When questioned, Mags tilted her head. "Well... Ah mean, who is supposed to be with me?"

Tinaksite took in Mag’s appearance and thought was quiet for a moment, thinking that she should go visit the girl at work again soon…just because Waffle House had horrible food, didn’t mean she didn’t want to spend time with Mags in the place she worked…because she did.
Maybe she could just get milk or something.
“I do not know. But it is unsafe to be alone. I could go with you.” Because she could protect Mags like this. Easily protect her like this.
“I am Tinaksite. I like your hair.”
She wanted to show Mags who she was, wanted to see the girls face light up when suddenly it was Kat walking with her…but even she knew that that was a bad idea…so she would just have to befriend Mags in this way as well.
It would be easy.

Mags had never excelled in Science. Minerals and gemstone names weren't her forte and she never pretended that they were. But as the girl introduced herself as Tinkasite, alarm bells rang off in her head. It was probably the site part of her name - wasn't that how all those Negafellas named themselves? "What do you want?" The question came out even more rude and blunt than Mags had intended, the blonde feeling ashamed enough to follow up with a more simple inquiry. "Ah mean... you don't want nothin' from me? Seems kinda weird, don'tcha think?" Shifting the bag in her arms, she thought about it for a moment before adding, "Mags. Ah'm Mags, Tink."

“Mags.” The name was said with a tone that was almost a caress. Of course she was Mags. She knew she was Mags, that was just silly. Who else would she be? Who else could she be?
“Why would I want anything? You should be safe.” Tinaksite hesitated and held out a hand. “Let me help.”
She nodded towards the bag in Mag’s hands. It looked heavy and Mags shouldn’t have to carry anything heavy.
Even though she was not herself…and hadn’t even really eaten anything recently…she felt the now familiar pangs of…whatever it was coursing through her stomach and making it flop uncomfortably.
Perhaps…she should go see a doctor for this…it was becoming more and more of an issue.
“It is dark. It is dangerous. I will take your bag.” She would make sure Mags got home safe, at least tonight she would make sure of this one fact.

Her eyes narrowed in suspicion. What did the Negaverse want with her groceries? Did they have some nefarious plot where they were taking innocent bystanders' food and hoarding it for themselves? Were they making food youma out of everything? Could it be possible that they could even make a waffle youma? No, that was just silly. Everyone knew that waffles couldn't be evil. She contemplated her options, then decidedly hoisted the bag into the other girl's direction. The way Mags figured it, if the Nega had both hands busy with the bag of food, it would leave her handless to try to steal her starseed or energy or whatever it was that these fellas were after nowadays. "Alright. Ah'll let you walk me a few blocks over, but after that, we gotta part ways, ya hear?"

She took the bag with a grin. It was kind of heavy, not so much to her now, but she was sure it would have been much heavier for Mags, so Tinaksite was very glad to be able to help out. Though…Mags seemed like she didn’t want her to take her all the way home…and she couldn’t quite figure out why.
Why wouldn’t she want someone to deliver safely to her crummy apartment? Why wouldn’t she want someone to make sure she didn’t get eaten by some stray youma?
Surely Mags could see that she was getting a private escort. Anyone could see that.
“No. I will take you home. All the way. It is safer. Do not argue Mags. You will be safer.”
Tinaksite watched the curly haired blonde out of the corner of her eye and couldn’t stop the smile that was spreading across her face again.
There was no one in the world quite like Mags. No one at all…and she was the luckiest person to have her.

She started to walk and then stopped in her tracks as the girl insisted on following her up to her doorstep. There had to be a way out of this - Mags knew she couldn't transform, not while a Negaverse agent was watching her - but there wasn't no way under the blisterin' sun that she was going to show a Nega agent where she lived. Nuh-uh, not happening. Beginning to walk once more, she took on a leisurely pace instead of her normal, long strides. She needed time to think - she needed a plan. What would Dan do? Kat? Kodi? All of her smart friends were nowhere to be found... leaving Mags in quite the waffle of a situation. "So are you uh... a girl scout or somethin?"

Tinaksite paused when Mags did and gave a confused sort of look, though it didn’t take long for her to start walking again, and she did before the lieutenant could even ask if something was wrong. Maybe she was just tired. Work could do that to a person.
Perhaps she should just offer to carry Mags home? Or would that be too weird?
Maybe next time.
The blonde’s question made her brows furrow in confusion. “Girl…Scout? I don’t understand. I am Tinaksite, lieutenant of the Negaverse. Not a Girl Scout. Are you a Girl Scout?”
She walked a few more steps and then sighed. “They sell cookies?” She thought that was what that was. She had eaten some of the cookies, and while they weren’t good by her standards…they weren’t bad either. Just very, very sweet.
“Why? I do not need cookies.”

It felt as though she'd swallowed a rock and it was sinking into the depths of her seemingly neverending stomach. The Negaverse. As much as she'd wanted to give the girl the benefit of the doubt, Tinkasite had directly declared her allegiance to the evil kingdom and Mags could feel the sweat begin to trickle down the back of her neck as she stared at the other girl. "Ah... Ah...." Glancing down the street, she took one last look at the girl before rocketing off down the sidewalk. "AH'VE GOTTA GO!" She called out behind her, sparing one last, forlorn look towards her bag of groceries as the blonde galloped her way down the road and, hopefully, far far away from the Negaverse officer.

Tinaksite blinked. Then blinked again. And then again.
Mags…just ran from her. Mags, her best friend in the whole world, her Mags…just ran away from her.
She didn’t know what to do, or what to say…or anything. Finally the lieutenant turned and began walking in the other direction, clutching the bag that she still held in her hands. She couldn’t blame Mags for this. Mags had no idea who she was…no idea that this would hurt her feelings so badly…but…
But just what had she done wrong? Why had Mags…
Been so mean?
With a heavy heart, Tinaksite shed the power of the Negaverse, and Kat made her way home, thinking at least she could make some waffles for Mags tomorrow and make up for stealing her groceries by mistake…
