Alphubel didn't feel too safe right now, even though he was powered up and on his usual patrol route near his school. He knew he shouldn't be going out alone, he was asking for trouble being powered up and just walking around, but he hadn't been able to sit still inside of his dorm. And none of those that he knew that could have joined him had been busy, so he was by himself tonight.
He sighed, breathing the nice night air. Even though he was wearing quite a warm outfit, it was nice to feel the warm air on him, even though the wind sometimes reminded him that it was still springtime. Just as he was thinking that he could relax and probably wouldn't run into anything tonight, a familiar feeling went down his spine. Like someone was stalking him and they were much worse than some ordinary mugger...

Heads up, Noctua has like 0 idea how her power works, but she has to lock eyes with her victim for her attack to work. If she doens't lock eyes, nothing happens, and I'm going to assume that she hasn't actually made eye contact and so the attack won't work. She's learning.
The young man was, indeed, being stalked, though he would only find the predator if he peered closely into the shadows that surrounded him. The only tell may have been the bright blue eyes shining like headlights from the inky blackness. Yes, he was asking for trouble.
And trouble answered.
Noctua crept from shadow to shadow, slinking like oil just out of sight. Her feather-soft slippers barely made a sound on the soft earth as she moved, never far behind the page. Ever since that night with Cinnabar she'd been aching to reach beyond the corporeal plane of existence and take into her hands the very essence of another innocent, but lacked the skills. Now that Umber had taken her under his tutelage in that facet of her training... she wanted to practice. And who better to practice on than a lone page, walking home after a long patrol.
That name of her attack poured from her lips, certain to slow the already sluggish page to a near stop, making for easy prey but... nothing happened. Noctua's brow furrowed in confusion as she called her attack again but still nothing. Was she too far? She crept closer and tried again. Nothing. What was she doing wrong? It had worked before. Panic rose in her throat, burning like bile. Had she used her power up? Was she now useless?
No. Noctua could not believe that.
She slipped through the darkness closer and closer, making a wide arch around him until she knew that she could stood before him, stepped out into the light to finally reveal herself.
"Noctua Feverish Nights," she hissed, holding her hand out before her.

Yep! That was definitely the feeling of a Negaverse agent nearby! Alphubel swung around, trying to figure out where it was coming from until he saw someone completely step out of the darkness to where he could see them fully. He tried to see what the agent looked like, and all he could tell was that it seemed to be a woman? And that her lips were moving! He wondered what type of agents could use magic, but clearly they were dangerous!
He furrowed his brows, trying to figure out what to do. He could tell that she was trying to attack first, but he still didn't feel good about throwing the first punch, or just running straight at her. Even if she could use magic, she could still probably take him in hand-to-hand combat too.
He looked around, quickly trying to slow down his brain so he could think of something. "I know you're there! I don't to fight but I will if I have to!" Well, saying something was doing something, right?

No big deal! Life is hard, but comes first!!! -muwah!- The attack's effects are up to you, so however sleepiness manifests in your boy. Think all-nighter tired.
What the --
Noctua stared at her hand in a fury, bringing it towards her face and inspecting it like it had betrayed her. Maybe... maybe she had peaked and used all of her magic... on a stupid useless BRAT. Anger welled within her, warming her eyes to dangerous levels. She couldn't have. She wouldn't have if she had known better but... what good was a one-shot attack? She was too frail to really fight... she knew that but... it wasn't going to stop her.
With a furious and hungry howl of anger, Noctua launched forward, fingers hooked into nasty little claws crafted from thinly fleshed bone. She closed the distance between herself and the white mooner with speed that sweet chaos had given her until he was close enough to grab his face. She dug her fingers into the flesh of his head and found his eyes. This time, magic swelled within her, suffocating her anger and filling her with those magical words.
"Noctua Feverish Nights."
Noctua Feverish Nights Noctua closes her eyes and calls the name of her attack. Upon opening them, she will lock eyes with one person and they will be immediately subject to the attack. For the next ten seconds the victim will feel like they haven't slept well for the past few nights. They will feel sluggish, irritable, and confused. Noctua can use this attack 3 times in a battle if she pushes herself, but mostly she keeps it to twice. It's useful mostly for getting away or getting in a sucker punch if she needs to.
Note: She needs to lock BOTH eyes with her opponent. So if someone has a non functioning eye for whatever reason, the attack will not work. Alternately, if Noctua's eyes are out of commission due to whatever reason, be it darkness or injury, the attack will not work. If the environment is too dark to see anyone's eyes, the attack will fail as well.

Alphubel really hadn't been ready for her sudden rush towards him and then grabbing his face. He reached up with his own arms, trying to get her to let go, though he probably should have just stepped back, but he still hadn't been able to control his panic during a fight and so stood there pretty much like an idiot trying to remove the arms.
As soon as she was done saying her spell, he immediately felt like he was going to fall asleep. He had only felt this tired a few times before, and that was only with a few hours of rest. He tried to fight it as much as he could, but he was barely able to even keep himself standing. He was barely even able to register his arms being put in front of his face he wanted to sleep so badly. But he knew he had to fight it. He was in immediate danger right now and knew that if he didn't last through the spells effects, he would be in serious trouble.

You can choose how much energy she gets before Alphubel gets loose / attacks Noctua
So she had to be making eye contact? Curious. She would have thought on it more had the wild and sleepy flailing of her opponent not connected with the side of Noctua's head, sending her reeling to the side. She lost grip of her prey as the world swam sickly in and out of focus. It didn't help that her lack of sleep made jarring her obnoxiously easy. Eventually, after several seconds of staggering around, trying to make the world stop swinging around, Noctua found her barring again.
And she was pissed.
She turned back to the knight, teeth bared like a wild animal. If that was the way that he wanted to play it, then fine. She lunged for whatever would be most easily grabbed and latched onto his hand, digging her bony fingers into the soft flesh of his wrist. He was tired already, the effects of her attack taking hold, but they would wear off soon. She needed a more permanent solution to his vigor. So she called to his energy and pulled it from him, siphoning it off to the negaverse.

Alphubel could tell that he was still in the middle of it, and through the haze he had been let go, only to be grabbed again, pain barely registering in his mind. He would have to continue to fight it off! It was hard though, it did make him want to fall right asleep, and although he couldn't tell, the energy that was being drained also made it harder for him to stay awake.
Eventually though, he felt the attack wearing off, or at least he thought he did. He was still feeling quite tired, though more like what he felt after a long run and needing to stay down for a bit, rather than staying up till 5AM before going to sleep. He shook his head a bit, before he realized that she was hanging onto his wrist and draining his energy. With a pull he tried to get his wrist away from her, but also tried to follow it up with a punch of his own. If he could get her to let go of him, he could possibly try to run away. Her magic gave her quite the advantage.

He's still pretty tired, he won't be able to run far if he does so, but he's at least able to attack for a bit. But not for too long.

Noctua had been struck. She knew she had been struck, she had felt the impact. And that impact stopped her in her tracks. For several agonizing seconds, Noctua's mind fell over itself, trying to process the sudden sensation. It wasn't until an ache began to spread through her cheek that she was able to recover from her shock. Surprise faded to anger, and the edges of Noctua's vision tightened, leaving little room for anything but the knight she was battling. It was like the child soldier all over again. Noctua felt her pulse quicken, her blood begin to boil.
But this time she would take a life. This time she knew how.
Noctua lurched forward, wicked hisses spilling from her lips. She trained her eyes on the knight's sternum, hands itching for the treasure within. Cinnabar had begun her teachings of theory, Umber had taught her how to make it into practice, and Noctua would make them both proud. The knight stumbled away and Noctua stumbled right after him. She grabbed for whatever she could find -- fabric, limbs, hair -- all slipping through her tired, weak, useless fingers. Noctua cursed to herself over and over as she failed to get a grip on the knight. If she could just get his eyes... if she could just see his eyes again, she could win.
"Give me your eyes," she demanded in a viscous hiss, still clawing at whatever she could.

Her attack was finally starting to fade, and he felt a bit better at least, though still a bit tired. He was now registering what she was doing, and felt his eyes widen a bit in surprise. My eyes? Why would she... He thought before realizing the same thing she did. She needed to be looking him in the eye for her attack to work! So there were some limits to spells after all!
Well, he would make sure to not look at her eyes now, though it was a bit hard since she seemed to almost be like some possessed woman from Hell, clawing at him like she was going to drag him under with a fervor that seems to be a bit crazy. She was hissing for goodness sake!
He batted away her hands, before swinging his fist to make sure he connected this time, though he was looking at her neck instead of her face. He could have looked at her chest, but he figured that it would be a bit easier to place her head if he could see where it started at least in his peripheral vision.

Noctua stumbled again, fighting for breath as her constant activity made her lungs burn. She wasn't used to constant action, and between the lack of air and her mad flailing, Noctua was beginning to weaken. It was obvious in the way that her motions slowed like she was moving through water. In the way her breaths tore out of her in ragged gasps. It was like she was a victim of her own attack, the way her energy began to drain from her own body. When the knight batted at her hands, she found it harder and harder to recover.
She had to get his starseed. She had to take it, rip it from his chest just like Umber showed her. She had to present it to him and prove that she wasn't useless. Wasn't like the rest of the corrupted senshi. That she was useful and loyal and would work for the negaverse.
She had her hand against the Knight's sternum when his fist connected with her head and the world went black. She slumped, unconscious, against the knight, hand slipping down his chest without ever having felt his starseed.

Alphubel swore he was going to have a heart attack. The senshi had managed to reach his chest, and he had seen how starseeds were ripped out before. He panicked a bit. He didn't want to die like this! His brother not knowing anything, his family not knowing where he was!
Lucky for him though, it seemed that he had made a square hit to the head as the senshi was knocked unconscious and slumped against him. His heart was still pounding wildly in his chest, and he was trying to tell himself to calm down now that it was over. Carefully, he placed her on the ground, trying to figure out what to do with her. The experience was terrifying, and it was a lot like the other time when he had seen that man killed in front of him by that Negaverse agent. It was only really now starting to sink in what he was getting into.
He sighed, taking in a few deep breaths. He didn't want this. He had never wanted this. Why was he forced into all of this?! And he desperately wanted to tell his brother, to receive some comfort from someone about all of this, that he wasn't alone.
He looked at the girl, now laying prone on the ground. Although she had tried to kill him, she couldn't now, and he felt bad for leaving her out in the open like this. She had seemed wildly desperate, and he wondered if there wasn't something else going on that made her that way.
He looked around, and, spotting a bench, dragged/carried her over to it and laid her on it. At least she wouldn't be in the way of some poor early morning jogger at least.
After that he made sure to make his way back to his dorm, deciding that it wouldn't be worth it to stay out the rest of the night. Or even go patrolling for a while now.
