                                        H I S T O R Y

                                              BACKGROUND
                                              Here's how this works.
Shitty people in a shitty neighborhood with a shitty life probably weren't meant to breed anything because the only little people they'll create are more shitty people. It's a cycle that goes on and on and on.

Mr. and Mrs. Thorn were text book definition shitty people. They lived in a trailer, bitched out their neighbors, had hate sex with the blinds open. The two were far from happy with each other but refused to get divorced because "That's money that we ain't got."

With a wreck of a relationship like this, you can bet that Mrs. Thorn did not expect to have a child with this man, nor did she actually want to, but looking into those eyes--she wanted so desperately to turn it all around, to fix everything, make it all right for this small little creature in her arms.

The problem that shitty people have when it comes to wanting to "fix" things this late in their lives is that it simply isn't possible. Their neighbors already despise them. Their lives already suck. They've already thrown every chance they had down the drains. There's no going back once they're this far gone. If only she'd realized that and given the baby to someone that actually had a better chance, maybe things would've been different.

Wilder became the light in their darkness. The couple wanted to be pleasant, at least around the boy, but trailer walls are thin and shitty people aren't pleasant for long. During his childhood, he'd have sleepless nights where he could hear his parents just shouting at one another from the other end of the double-wide trailer strewn with trash and laundry and whatever else didn't belong on a floor.

                                              There were things like,
"Darla, we should'a gave that boy up! He ain't safe!" Pop would protest.
"Hank! He's our boy!! That's OUR baby! He gonna make us right again, dont'cha see?!" Mom would reply. Her volume was loud but her tone was pleading. Even at the age of 10, Wilder knew that voice. He knew that sound. The things she was saying, she didn't want to say them. Yet for some reason, she seemed like she had no other choice. Why? They were only two lycans that probably weren't meant to be together in the first place, but still they put up with his werewolf transformations like it was their civil duty. Clearly, Pop was never that pleased about it, but Mom tried almost too hard to be understanding.

Maybe that's where they went wrong...

In middle school...ahh middle school...Wilder was avoided like a fatal disease. Hallways parted like he was some kind of white trash Moses parting the Red Sea of prepubescent teenagers. They all knew of his blunt nature and his dissociation from everyone and everything. This was just how the shitty person coped with other people who obviously didn't have parents who weren't sure if they liked them or they hated them. Love was never in the equation.

After all, how could you love an accidental mutation from the person you hate but can't seem to shake? That was the boy's parents in a nutshell. Fake smiles and open arms pretending to offer a hug that was never actually there.

Most of the kids at his middle school were the same ones he'd had in grade school and would rather steer clear of him than risk provoking him. They'd seen enough of that already and knew exactly how it ended. Teachers never got anywhere with trying to discipline him either seen as how it was the parents' job to back them up and how is that supposed to work if the parents never show?

If anything, Wilder preferred the solitude, the lack of forced confrontation, no thickly spread amounts of fake written on the faces of anyone that "tried". Most areas that were isolated and outside were marked as his. No stray loner took their book to read there or their lunch to each there unless they knew what was coming to them and almost everyone that knew his name knew those rules.

About the only thing those shitty "parents" did right was give the werewolf an example on what NOT to do in life--be a sorry excuse for a citizen your whole life and then tie yourself down to someone you come to hate faster than you learn to write your own name only to end up with a kid with that same person and jack s**t for an income.

The last things he wanted were sympathy--because that only ever came out, turned into, or sounded like pity--and to be a mirror of the filth that created him.

His grades weren't picture perfect, but he managed to at least graduate from high school and who was really going to be there to badger him and complain? Over the years, he'd shown up at "home" less and less, coming back late and ignored. Neither cared where he'd been or how long he'd been out or why. He was alive. That was their main priority while he lived under their pathetic piece of roof.

The first ride out of that shithole was the one that Wilder grabbed onto. That ride just so happened to be right into one of Saxon's newest and probably most uniformed gangs, Crownless. The kid was only 19 but he knew how to handle a dark errand and as he got older, he was handling more things than before. The werewolf tagged onto different things. He'd juggle filling in for some arms dealing errands with helping the humanoid trafficking side. Did he show sympathy to any of these other people--poor and usually innocent people being brought in for unspeakable things? Hell no. He saw sympathy as something the weaker sought out and had no need for it. Not only did he not give it, but anyone that tried to show it to him was treated as a nuisance. The young man had no time for things like that.

See? What did I say? s**t people only create other s**t people.

Relationships? Tried 'em but no one that he hooked up with could stand just how little effort he put in, how apathetic he was, or just how temperamental he could become if the right buttons were pushed.

Maybe they just weren't pushing the right buttons to actually make him territorial. He'd just assume brush them off for his gang work than beat anyone's face in that bothered the other person.

This is what's got him up to where he is. His inhumane interest or even "care" for anyone under the eyes of an employer make him valuable. His raw strength adds to this. As for what he gets out of it, that's a vow of silence that his is alone.

                                              ABILITIES
                                              ▬ NAME OF ABILITY

                                              PROS
                                              - Use a much higher muscle percentage, making them much stronger than any other race.
                                              - They gain muscles much faster than average, so working out 2-3 days a week would be like working out 5ish for a normal person. They see results faster.
                                              - They heal faster than average when the moon is nearly full. This is actually how they recover so quickly from the traumatic transformation each month.

                                              CONS
                                              - Transform once a month.
                                              - All their bones are broken and ******** afterward. Takes about a week or so for them to get healed back up, they're actually very delicate during this time. So they have a lot of problems with transformation since their bodies are NOT made for it.
                                              - The moon controls them a lot like the tide. When the moon is small, it has little effect on them. When the moon is large, they'll feel extremely irritable and jumpy.

                                              EXTRA
This is his usual style. Wilder likes the benefits of the mouth mask. The "X" is a visual statement on his vow of silence. The mask is also a useful asset at muffling the overwhelming amount of scents at one time.
