Sleet Tempest Snape
Sutai wasn't exactly prepared for this - she was more of a pacifist than a fighter, more concerned with helping people than engaging in assault. Unfortunately, her patrol revealed someone up to no good - an energy signature below her own in terms of power, but that didn't necessarily mean anything to the Squire. Her magics were more defensive than anything else, and she wasn't skilled in the martial arts.
Even so, Princess Polaris would expect her knights to stop evil whenever it reared its ugly head. The last thing Sutai ever wanted to do was disappoint the princess! With that in mind and an image of lovely Polaris’ face frowning in disappointment, her Squire was off. Sailing through the air, she must try to pinpoint the energy signature…
…and she found it, moving swiftly in the alleys between buildings in the darkness of Destiny City’s nightlife. “Stop! Stop right there!” shouted the squire, unsure of where the evildoer actually was, but knew they were nearby. “You cannot do evil on my watch!”

Valeria didn’t like hurting people, never had, but as far as she knew gathering energy didn’t hurt people. It was why she didn’t pull starseeds, aside from the few people she ran into who did deserve it. The fact that energy gathering didn’t seem to harm the people was the one reason she managed to fulfill her quota for energy gathered, even working a head of it at times. Tonight was like most nights she went out to gather energy...until she felt it.
An aura, stronger than her own, headed for her and this moments target. She had found them puking in an alley next to a somewhat popular bar. They had, obviously, drank too much and were paying for it even before she arrived and decided to help herself, and the Negaverse, to some of their energy.
When she heard a voice, it had to be the knight she had felt closing in on her, she eased her target onto the ground, and turned toward the voice. “You don’t even know what I’m doing - since I can’t see you...you cannot see me.” Her words were accented, as they always were.
“Evil is a relative term...it is not evil that I do. I collect energy.” Even if she didn’t like doing it...it was better than starseeds. This wasn’t harmful, she could live with this.

Evil is a relative term.
Sutai sputtered at the darkness, squinting her eyes and frowning. “Y-yes, well! Doing bad things to people is… evil! Generally-speaking… um…”
The wind knocked out of her sails, Sutai wasn’t sure what to do with herself. She fidgeted with her sextant, straining to see where the corrupted senshi was in relation to herself. The accent was a familiar one - Indian, like her own. There was a twinge of recognition, but Sutai couldn’t place it. “If you would, please, cease and desist from Negaverse activity, it would be greatly appreciated by the citizens of Destiny City!”
….that was about the best she could muster, really. Jumping down from her rooftop perch and into the darkened alley below. There was a bar nearby with patrons still inside, bright lights beaming technicolor onto an otherwise dimly-lit set of side-streets. The signature was still present, but it was difficult to see with the flashing lights and alternating darkness. “I don’t want to hurt anyone but I must protect the citizens!”

“Again, bad things are opinionated.” She answered shaking her head. “What I do - I don’t think is bad. You do. Someone else may not, another might, and someone else might be in the middle or simply not care.” The dark skinned senshi answered the other.
She wanted to say more, she was sure she could, but Valeria didn’t say more. She just looked toward that voice.
Hearing what had to be the other landing, so they had been up on the roof, she tilted her head. Taking a step toward the sound, moving her head in an effort to keep from stepping on her impossibly long hair as it trailed behind her.
“The citizens are safe - I assure you. I haven’t killed them...and I don’t intend to.” She spoke up again while glancing to the unconscious man on the ground. He would be fine with some rest, she would have even called an ambulance or the police to pick him up - claim him a passed out drunk she had spotted.

“Even if you aren’t hurting them they are still going to deal with the fear and the terror of being grabbed and finding themself unconscious. The fact they don’t understand anything going on will only fuel the feelings. You’ll leave them with nightmares.” Gorner had been out on patrol when she had felt the two near by signatures and had decided to see just what was going on, and in typical fashion had jumped right into the conversation.
“So no matter what way you look it damage is being done.”
“So no matter what way you look it damage is being done.”
The squire clenched her fists in an effort to alleviate some of her meekness. “I am very glad you have not killed them but if you are draining their energy without their permission, that is still bad! Why does the Negaverse need energy anyway?” That seemed to be a large goal for the Negaverse - the collection of energy, but Sutai never really understood the purpose behind it.
It was then that another signature appeared on her radar, someone just starting out like the corrupted senshi Sutai had found. Backup had arrived!
She didn’t recognize the Page, but jumped at the opportunity to meet someone new. “Yes! I agree, the damage has already been done! So please, cease and desist!” The squire trotted through the alley, hoping to find the Page and stand near her as protection. The last thing Sutai wanted was for someone knew to get seriously injured when she could have stepped in to help!
Quote:
That...that she did not know. It was something she wondered about herself, how could she not? It seemed like a lot of energy, especially since it seemed to be coming in from all over the globe. But not knowing what it was going to perhaps it wasn’t a lot? She had no idea. She wished she knew, she really did. She couldn’t answer the other though...but she could lie...well sort of anyway. “That isn’t any business of yours.” And it wasn’t, even if she knew.

Gorner may not have had any training in how to fight, aside from that one lesson at the gym, but she wasn’t one to let such a thing hold her back especially against someone her own ranking. She also was the sort to jump right into things, something she seemed rather consistent in doing, so it really was no wonder that she didn’t hesitant in going right for the corrupted senshi. Aiming to strike the girl with a fist. She wasn’t aiming for the face but rather a larger target - the body.
The Squire wasn’t doing anything but talking so she would handle this issue and deal with the corrupted senshi, the other could join in if she wanted. “I don’t think talking is going to work here.” She commented to the other knight.

Sutai hadn't expected the Page to suddenly attack the corrupted senshi and while she didn't like physical assaults… if the senshi wasn't going to stop hurting people… The squire sniffed lightly, almost mourning for the corrupt senshi.
She had to shake herself for a moment and pulled out her sextant, aiming it at the Page who just appeared. She didn't recognize the colors or the symbols… maybe Uranus? It was so hard to say but not important at the moment. Focus! Gazing through the scope of the sextant, Sutai began to concentrate. Suddenly, Gorner found strange Northern Lights dancing around her form. She would find that her movements would be sped up, her dodging faster, and her punches swifter.
Quote:
At first she was able to try and avoid some of the attacks, her hair did tend to make it a bit more difficult than it needed to be, but she wasn’t doing too badly. Suddenly though it got harder and the corrupted senshi found herself landing on the ground thanks to a hard kick to her left knee. The metal tassels of her uniforms skirt jingled gently with a sound like chimes in the wind.
Staring up at the page she managed to roll out of the way of the next attack and kicked up at the page, sending the other to the ground as she scrambled up onto her feet.

She hadn’t thought she’d do so well, she was no trained fighter, but the corrupted senshi apparently wasn’t a fighter either. Gorner found herself able to deal them several good blows, not that she didn’t take a few either, it was at some point she found the other doing...worse and herself quicker in her attacks. Sending the pink haired woman to the ground she made to strike her again...but found herself tumbling to the ground after the wind got knocked out of her, thanks to a well placed kick to her midsection.
“I think we need to end this.” Looking to the squire who was also here. She was hoping to knock the corrupted out...but they seemed about to cast some magic. She was hoping to squire would prevent it and stop the pink haired senshi from performing whatever magic it was that she possessed, Gorner did not want to find out what magic the other had.

Sutai was panicking. She didn’t realize just how quickly this would escalate. When it seemed as though the pink-haired senshi was about to use her magical abilities, Sutai immediately stopped concentrating on the Page. “No! No, you mustn't!” cried she, and the Squire darted forward from her place in the alley, making to grab Gorner and shield her from the magical attack with her own body.
The Princess would be disappointed if Sutai allowed another Page to be hurt on her watch. Even though the corrupted senshi frightened her deeply, the Squire would not allow the Page to be the target of whatever foul magics the senshi possessed. “Princess Polaris said it’s my job to protect people, so that’s what I’m going to do!”
And she braced for impact.

Gorner was not expecting that, not at all, she had been hoping the squire would handle the corrupted senshi - not become a human shield! Even as she spotted the pink light leave the senshi’s finger tips, the words something she didn’t hear, she didn’t have the time to react and reverse hers and the squires positions as she wanted to.
Instead she was subjected to watching the pink light hit the squire, even as she was moving to try and put the other knight behind herself. She would, without a doubt, need the protection while the senshi’s magic ran it’s course...she just hoped it wasn’t too bad.

She didn’t like using her magic, didn’t like fighting, but this page wanted to fight her and she needed an exit and this was it. She had used her magic only for it to hit the wrong target, leaving the page she had been wanting to stop still free to move around - damn it! She wasn’t going to be able to leave yet...was she?
Sutai thought she would feel something.
She’d squeezed her eyes shut while holding the Page, blocking her from whatever magics the senshi had at her disposal. Sutai hadn’t the slightest idea what the pink-haired senshi would be capable of, instead being overwhelmed by her need to protect someone. Once the magic had hit her, however…
The Squire let go of Gorner and stood up, utterly confused.
“How… did I get here?” she muttered, unable to recollect the events that led up to this point. It was like realizing one was dreaming in the middle of the dream, completely unaware of how they arrived at that point of awareness. Sutai tapped her cheek and furrowed her brows, occupied with trying to suss out this very important problem. She didn’t move and didn’t turn around, seemingly absorbed.
Quote:
Well, that was better than nothing. She didn’t like that it hadn’t hit the more aggressive of the two, the white haired one, but it took one of them out and might serve to distract the white haired page who seemed to want to kick her a** - not something she was interested in.
Taking a step back, hoping she could make an escape, she wasn’t turning away from the two knights - too risky. She needed to put some distance down but she had to do so with caution and care. It felt almost like working with a hostile animal that you didn’t wanna move quickly around, otherwise it might lash out.

Meanwhile she was dealing with the squire in front of her, blocking her from seeing much of anything. “Move.” She said trying to push, or nudge, the other out of her way. She seemed...lost - utterly lost. She didn’t know why, her only guess being the senshi’s magic, but that didn’t matter. What mattered was that senshi was going to get away!
She could hear the senshi’s heels on the pavement and the sound was moving away from her. “Please, move.” She didn’t want to hurt the other but the other was utterly confused and she needed her out of the way - and quickly.
Shoving a bit more she made to hit the other in the cheek though she held back from using much force. “Come on, snap out of it!”

Sutai was busy trying to piece together how she got to where she was. Brows furrowed, hand reaching into the air as if to pluck the answer from the night sky. All seemed hopeless until --
SMACK!
“Eep!”
The squire seemed to snap out of her confusion and shook her head, holding her cheek. It didn't hurt too badly at all, but was sudden and very rude! “Are you okay?? Did the senshi use her attack? I hope it didn't pass through me or something. That would be terrible!” Almost absently, Sutai turned around and found the pink haired senshi was trying to leave.
“Hey! Oh no, wait!” The squire began the chase, unsure if she would be able to find the senshi again in all this darkness. Sure, she could sense powered signatures but it wasn't a perfect radar. She made to grab Gorner’s wrist to come with her.
Quote:
“Her attack hit you...you looked vacant and clueless- blank.” She answered looking at the other. She did feel a bit bad for slapping the other but it seemed the squire hadn’t really felt it? Or at least wasn’t really addressing it, aside from the surprised sound which had escaped the darker skined knight.
Surprised when the other grabbed her and started to pull her along, after the escaping corrupt senshi, she took off and was now the one pulling the other with her. “Are you planning to fight her?” The corrupted had left that person on the ground after all. Were they just leaving that person..in the cold...on the ground? She didn’t mind but it still was a risk for that person.
“I hope someone finds that man…”

She had picked up her pace when the squire was slapped, knowing it would knock the other out of her spells trance. Picking up speed she sought to run away from this fight. She could try and handle a squire on her own but a page and a squire was more than she could handle and she damn well knew it. She knew a squire was a bit of challenge...or a lot, depending on the squire in question. But this was enough that if she got caught she might have to call for backup...something she very much wanted to avoid - it would be humiliating.
So when she heard them coming after her she picked up her pace, hoping to not trip on her hair or for a heel to slip under her and send her to the ground. Should she turn around? See how close they were? Maybe try and attack again? She didn’t know but she needed to get away and find a dark place to use for cover so she could hide and power down in safety.

“Oh… oh dear, you’re right, that person needs us…” She was so scatterbrained after that attack, Sutai nearly forgot about the civilian left to lie on the ground without any medical help. Flustered, the squire seemed to babble to herself for a few moments before returning to face Gorner.
“Yes, yes you are right, Miss Page. That man does need us more than us chasing that evil senshi, probably. Oh dear.” Sutai just hated to make big decisions like this, but her duty as a Knight was to protect her fellows and the citizenry. “Miss Page, thank you very much for reminding me what’s important.” Trotting back over to the unconscious form of the civilian, Sutai started to check him for injuries.
When everything seemed fine with the man (other than being unconscious), Sutai started to look for cover. “I think… I should probably power down and call an ambulance. What do you think, Miss Page? Ah… My name is Sutai, by the way! I’m so very sorry I didn’t introduce myself sooner!” She laughed nervously. What a time to be doing introductions.
Quote:
Miss Page...well that was a new one, though she didn’t mind. “It’s Gorner...Gorner is what you can call me.” She wished there was something, which worked, that her name could be shortened to like with her civilian name. She had yet to think of anything, which sounded right, that would make her quicker to yell to or anything.
While she herself wanted to go after the corrupted it wasn’t a good idea right now, right now the unconscious man came first. So she remained with the newly introduced Sutai. At least she had a name to put to the face, and that was good. “Yes, that would be a good idea...I’ll do the same.” It would be safer for them both. It wasn’t like the corrupted would return and see them powering down - they were safe.
And that’s what Keely did - she powered down.

Sutai followed suit, noticing that no prying eyes were in the vicinity. Powering down, Anandi quickly pulled out her cellphone to call for help. The man was unconscious, but neither one of the girls were doctors. They could only guess at his condition.
"Yes, 911! There is a man here and he's unconscious on the street... yes, he's breathing! We think he came out of the bar..."
