While it seemed Encke had a particularly unlucky time lately when it came to avoiding things while he was powered up to go for runs, old habits died hard, and Encke was back at it again. He picked a different park area this time, honestly hoping to avoid any confrontation today. It wasn't that he didn't want to help people, and civilians, necessarily. He'd defend them if he came across them, if he came across them. He just had to admit that he'd rather just ... not come across them. Encke shook his head out of his thoughts and continued on his path. His rhythm was even, boots hitting the pavement at a steady enough beat that it could be sung over. He wasn't going particularly fast today, but he didn't need to. His goal was to relax. To not worry about coming across the Negaverse or a civilian in stress. To not ponder over his latest role. To not think, really. Hopefully he'd get to do that.

Tinaksite had thoughts. Thoughts that wouldn’t stop going through her head. Like when she had spent Valentines day with Mags. And how happy Mags had looked…and most of the thoughts were very Mags-ish, but running into the Pirate was also in her head, even though it had been ages ago. He had seemed preoccupied with who knows what…and had said that he might not come to the party…
Just what could that mean? Was he sick? Maybe he was dying.
Poor pirate.
When a senshi came too close, the lieutenant’s eyes narrowed and she looked down from the tree she was sitting in. Was he here to fight? She was here to fight. She had to get to that party. And soon. She just wanted to spend more time with Mags too…
Sighing, Tinaksite dropped out of the tree and raised her hands, shoving at the senshi’s back when she landed behind him. “Fight! Senshi! We Fight!”
It was on.

"Gah!" Encke stumbled forward, suddenly brought off-balance by the sudden shove from what sounded like a very fighty agent. He glanced over his shoulder to make sure he was right, and grimaced when he realized he was. Great. These people were everywhere, weren't they? Uncomfortably, Encke raised his arms to defend himself, but didn't actually shove her back yet. Shoving seemed childish. Not that he really wanted to punch and kick and stomp and ... Headbutt. He swore his head still hurt from that.

Gah? Senshi said such odd things. Grunts, whimpers, noises of pain.
Honestly…they were kind of annoying.
“Do you give up? Do you admit I am stronger and give up then?” Tinaksite was honestly surprised that he hadn’t hit her back yet. Maybe he was one of the ones who would talk and just beg for her not to hurt them…those were fun…sort of. They were easy to deal with…and honestly they were kind of boring. There wasn’t much of a challenge with them and…
Not that she liked the ones that fought back either.
She liked to win.
“If you give up, I will not have to hurt you again, senshi.” Her weapon, the dreaded tissue ghost appeared in her hand and she brandished it as she always did.
Fear it.
Fear her.

Some part of him wanted to give up so maybe she'd leave him alone, but the other, and honestly much bigger, part of him didn't want to think about what giving up to anyone in the Negaverse would entail. He was fairly sure that would probably involve being kidnapped, or turned into one of those senshi with the cracks in their chests and forehead like the man who had decided headbutting him was a good idea. Plus, he never said she was stronger. "Hey, I didn't say you were stronger or--" Wait. Was that a... "Your weapon is a," he blinked, "tissue." Encke's arms fell to his sides, his defenses dropping the moment he saw what she was brandishing at him. Was ... was she serious?"You're joking."

Tinaksite opened her mouth to make a retort, but then her face colored with shame. He was mocking her tissue ghost. Why would someone do a thing like that. It was useless…to a point…but it was a great distraction. Like, even now…he had lowered his defenses, thinking that he was safe from her tissue ghost.
But he forgot the fact that he wasn’t safe from her.
She kicked him, hard in the shin. “Do not mock me, senshi! I am mighty, I will destroy you all and I will make sure everyone knows of my might!”
The lieutenant threw the weapon at his face and moved to punch his arm. That’ll teach him. She was mighty. So fierce.
So fierce.

No, she definitely wasn't joking. In fact, she was quite serious. Encke made a rather undignified squeak when she kicked him in the shin, recoiling back from her and attempting to grab at it. He bounced back a step to try and reopen some distance between them, looking up and grimacing at her. Just in time to get whacked in the face with the tissue. Scrambling at the tissue ... ghost, apparently, caused him to lift his arm, making sure her punch grazed his side instead. He tossed the ghost back at her face in turn. Part of him knew better, but the other part of him couldn't resist the, "Sound awful confident for having a tissue as a weapon," snark that slipped from his lips. Almost immediately realizing that would probably result in another shin kick, he reached forward and leaned to shove her back to keep her away from him.

Normally they gave up by now. Tinaksite didn’t like things lingering on so long, normally the senshi were at the begging and crying stage by now…or maybe that had just been the one red headed senshi.
When her punch missed its mark and she lost her weapon, the lieutenant was appalled. When she was shoved back and such words were spoken about her stupid weapon…she was furious.
Furious enough to stamp her foot in protest. “No. You are doing this wrong, senshi. You lose. I win. That is how this works. Do not mock me! I am strong! I am Tinaksite!”
She held the small ghost close and glared at Encke…but there wasn’t much else she could really do. She was a one and a half trick kind of gal…and she had used them all on him.
“I hate you.” The words were pretty much a sound of defeat, but…she couldn’t just let him win. “Go, Senshi. I will vanquish another night. Go.” There. She was merciful. She was mighty and merciful. Mighty merciful. He could leave tonight, and she would win next time.
Next time. For sure.Seiana_ZI SHE IS SUCH A BRAT OMG ;;

When she stamped her foot in defiance, Encke couldn't help wondering how old this girl was. She was acting like ... well, a little girl. You lose I win wasn't exactly the type of statement an adult would make. At least, not a mature one. Still, his taunt seemed to be pissing her off enough that she wasn't actually attacking him, just getting frustrated at him. Which was fine. He was fine with not getting attacked any further. He was expecting another attack, though, and found himself rather surprised when one didn't actually come. She just... gave up. Encke blinked. Well, so much for she won and he lost. Seemed like he won to him. Though he wasn't really sure how he won, really. All he did was throw her tissue ghost back at her and shove her a few more feet back. Was that all it took? He was used to the Negaverse fighting him back a lot harder, from the senshi with the cracked chests to the almost monstrous ones like the agent he ran into in the Negaverse who apparently had actual lightbulbs on her head. That still confused him a bit... "I'm free to go?" asked Encke, uncertainly. He was honestly expecting this to be some kind of trap. Her giving up didn't exactly match with his common experiences. Uneasily, he backed up a few steps, making sure that she wasn't going to run up to him and pounce him if he went ahead and took her up on that.

Tinaksite huffed, crossing her arms over her chest, trying to summon the bluster that she always had. “For now, you go. Next time, I crush you!”
She turned then, absolutely turning her back on him. She wasn’t afraid of him by any means and she just..wanted to get out of there. Hesitating for a moment, she threw him one last dirty look, then walked off, dropping her hands to her side and doing the sassiest walk imaginable, just to show him that she didn’t care at all.
Because she didn’t.
Because it wasn’t her fault that she wasn’t strong enough yet.
Next time.Seiana_ZI Finnnn Tyvm for the rp ;;

Next... Time? Well, alright then. Encke blinked, more than a little surprised that it wasn't a trick and and she really was truly just... Letting him leave. In fact, she was leaving. Encke stood there for a few moments, trying to figure out how exactly he was supposed to respond to this, before deciding he would just be relieved he didn't have to actually fight any further tonight. That was what he wanted in the first place. Right. Orangeish Sherbert That was amusing! : D Thanks for the battle!
