She can be doting to her closest family and if she need to put a foot down she will. She all for mutants running the joint, besides mother nature picked them. Why can humanity see the obvious.

History: Gwen grew up knowing she was different. She learned how different in her teens discovering her mutant powers. She was able to live relatively happy and meet fellow mutant and now husband Diego. They wanted to start a family and settle down. They found a relatively progressive to mutants town and their little son, Jordan was born. Jordan was unfortunately very much a mutant. From birth, he could be invisible but it only triggered with strong emotions. This unfortunately, led to the family dream to become a nightmare. Their child Jordan at age five, was playing in the park when an anti-mutant extremist discover him and saw that this child was a mutant. Unfortunately neither Gwen or Diego could move quicker than the gunshot. The man was caught and charged with murder but that wasn’t enough for Gwen who had held Jordan till he died. They murdered her baby and she could never forgive for it. In their grief, the once happy marriage fell apart and they divorced. Upon leaving she joined the brotherhood in hopes of avenging her child. She rose in rank eventually becoming leader. Even though she lost one family she swore to protect her new one.
