Spring… Spring oh thank god it is spring. Eleonora stretched her arms above her head, popping her back in the process for some much needed relief.

While nights were still quite a bit nippy, especially when patrolling near bodies of water, at least there wasn’t snow. Damn groundhog predicting an extended weather; BAH. The senshi of heat kicked a small rock with the toe of her sandal and listened as the clicking sound disappeared down into a trash filled alley.

There was still about an hour or so before her sister got off work, and while Eleonora had promised not to get into trouble, she didn’t promise that she wouldn’t power up. Most of the stores were already closed if not in the process of closing which left little options for where she could just hang out and sit around. Her sister's work was out of the question, mostly because it was warmer outside than in an ice rink, but mainly because they wouldn’t let her sit behind the counter by the heater.

Either way it seemed to be a fairly quiet evening save for the cars driving down the streets either to head home or begin their graveyard shift at work. On occasion a couple would walk down the street towards the intersection; wrapped up in their own world, idly chitchatting about some nonsensical topic, completely unaware of her existence.

Eleonora sighed and shook her head. It wasn’t long so ago when she was like them. But she knew better now. There were dark things hidden in the shadows; creatures and a malevolent malice left unseen despite looking directly at it; and that… is exactly where she stared.

“I was hoping it was more of a ‘watch pot never boils’ kinda thing. If I stare at it then they won’t come.” It worked thus far, or at least that is what she had convinced herself anyway.

When finally the Senshi of Heat turned around she paused, head canted to the side she took in the cosmos page’s attire and actually for a moment thought she actually had the better end of the stick. “Nice dress.” She commented appreciatively; not something Ele would pick for herself personally but the knight wore it well however the sheer pastel rainbow fabric in the shape of a falling star which traveled down the side of her hip left her wondering if the woman was going commando by choice or design.

“So, whose heart did you break?” She teased since the dress did resemble something a bride might wear.

“Eleonora, Senshi of Heat. You can call me Ele if you’d like.” At least that is what the few who knew her by name called her; which totaled four whole people but who was counting anyway?

“I appreciate the compliment but I can’t really confirm if it is true or not; it’s been awhile since I last powered up. Even then it was only with my sister as we chased after a youma or to help someone get inside their home” Roughly two months since the last time she nearly got frostbite on her toes thanks to sandals in snow. Fortunately she was able to help Ice, ironic name to have, get inside so he too didn’t freeze; but the cold she caught from being scantily clad in freezing weather was nothing to laugh at.

“You mentioned having a fiance, and by the sounds of it he’s seen you like this. Does that mean he’s one of us too or…” Not really knowing where she was going with that thought, Eleonora left the question open-ended. Sharing your identity was very firmly presented as a huge no-no by both her sister, Athene and Liryn. It is what kept them safe from people aligned with chaos finding out who they were. But maybe, maybe there were exceptions? How exactly does one figure out who it is okay to tell?

“Senshi; there’s a bit of irony to it though. I- don’t know how much you know about stars n’ such but everyone should at the very least know about the little and big dipper right?” Eleonora paused a moment before continuing. “Well the big dipper has a star, technically two.” She waived her hand dismissively at the minor detail.

“Anyway, the stars Alcor and Mizar have been known to be a binary system; thing is they are more than that! Alcor, which is the star my sister is named after, is a binary, or twin star, her’s is blue; mine, Eleonora, is red.” Kind of proud to have gotten through that mouthful without screwing it up too much Ele smirked and with her index pointed in the air she proceeded with the storytelling. “I may have spent a few hours looking into all this random stuff.”

“Point being, the ironic part is that my sister and I are fraternal twins, can you guess what she is the senshi of?” Blue... red... twins, it really wouldn’t be that hard to guess unless Meteora got lost in the dialogue word vomit thrown at her by the excited girl.

“It’s pretty amazing isn’t it? Unfortunately I haven’t visited mine yet. Liryn just recently upgraded my phone a few months ago but I still haven’t quite found the time.” Time and or motivation to go it alone since her twin was still less than enthused about space jumping. She quite preferred to keep her feet on the ground instead of potentially floating in space.

“I’m curious though, now that you have been to Mars, and you know what's there, when you look up at it through a telescope or the drone, do you look for that colosseum? Can you find that landmark in the photos?” It was a huge planet, nearly the size of our own Earth, but she couldn’t help but wonder if these places really could be seen. Could there be another way, other than magic, to visit these places? Oh the possibilities.

“Honestly -- I’m waiting for it to get warmer outside. If our wonders or worlds are a reflection of our spheres I can only assume it will be really hot on Eleonora.” Which made logical sense. “The last thing I, or anyone else that comes with me, would need is a good ole shock to the system going from fifty-sixty degree weather into something over 100.”

“Maybe this summer” She shrugged as if it was no big deal to wait. A year and a half had already passed since awakening, what’s a few more months. “What about you, have you visited yours yet?”

“Oh no…” Ele winced knowing where Meteora was going with that statement. “At least you’re still alive and walking. The fall couldn’t have been too far.” A bit of a silver lining she supposed.

“If you’re able to bring things with you, it might be worth investing in some rock climbing gear with new rope.” But like the Cosmos Page had said, with all the fog who's to know exactly how far up or down there is to go. “I’m curious though, do you know if the fog is something that is more constant or does it come and go at different points in the day?”

“If you have time, do you feel like checking it out now? See if anything has changed at least; no extracurricular activities required.” She added teasingly since neither of them were really in any sort of activewear suited for climbing.

“I have about forty-five minutes until my sister gets off work.” Unless traveling to homeworlds took as long as a flight to San Francisco or Beijing, they should be able to make it there and back in enough time, right?
