'Like I keep telling you just because I'm a wolf doesn't mean I'm a dog and also just because I'm a wolf doesn't mean you can treat me like a.. a pet, that's just awful, okay?'
It was a bone of contention between the two of them; had been since the day on the beach when Reine finally learned what the voice in her head actually was.
"But that hunter, Charlotte or something, SHE SAID I'm supposed to be able to summon you at will, and I can't, which is a problem because.. well.. because? I mean I don't even know why you're so opposed to this, and you won't even say anything about it, so."
There was a low growl in the back of her mind somewhere, one that signified that once again the conversation was effectively over.
"Well I'm going to talk to her anyway and you can't stop me because IT'S MY BODY."
Flyer in hand, Reine attempted to navigate through the many halls and corridors, finally arriving an hour later at a room in the life labs with a matching flyer taped over the door. Thankfully, Charlotte appeared to be in.
"Hi," she said brightly, ignoring another growly sound in her mind. "I'm Reine and I think we talked a little before? I'm here about my weapon. Are you busy?"

"Hi, Reine!" a cheerful voice chirped from inside the office. The door was being propped partially open with a small pile of local library books, all of which looked like they were about hunter weapons. The office it opened up on looked -- cramped, for lack of a better word. It more of a closet than anything. Charlotte herself set a book down beside her, seated on a small secondhand couch that could only have fit through the door using portals. She was a surprisingly short girl who looked more like a college student than a hunter, with shoulder length dark hair and a very goth fashion sense. "You're not interrupting anything - my door is always open to hunters looking for help. Come in, come in! I know my office is probably not what you envisioned when you saw the flier, but it's not so bad once you get used to it." Charlotte stood up to offer her seat to Reine, moving across the small space to a folding chair. As she walked, she pulled out a small leatherbound notebook with a variety of colorful tabs sticking out from the top, sides, and bottom. Charlotte clearly had some sort of organizational system only she understood, as she quickly flipped her way to a blue tab and glanced over the page. The book was snapped shut just as quickly before she offered Reine a bright smile. "So, what's new? Have you had any luck summoning your weapon since we talked?"

Charlotte's cheeriness was contagious; Reine found herself smiling back at the petite life hunter as she took a seat.
"It's nice," she replied, hands clasped a little nervously in her lap. "It's so cool you have your own office!" Did I have my own office? Probably not..
It felt a little like going to the doctor, somehow. Arcelia's silent resentment was palpable, an uncomfortable pressure in her mind, and she shook her head to try to clear it.
'Listen, for the last time, I'm doing this for both of us, okay?'
..No answer.
"Well," Reine began, taking a deep breath. "If anything, I think she's mad at me. I said we should talk about it, but she's just kind of, well, refusing to say anything about this specifically. I just," she frowned, pausing to gather her thoughts.
"I don't want to upset her more, but we're meant to be partners, right, which means we should be able to like, trust each other and rely on each other, and I mean, I could summon my weapon or maybe it summoned itself when we were on the beach and something attacked us I mean me, so maybe that's okay? It's not like I'm gonna, like, try to use a sword as a dinner knife or anything so I don't know why it bothers me that much that I can't summon her unless we're in danger, I guess I wish we could communicate better or something..?"
Biting her lip, Reine fidgeted a little as she looked sheepishly up at Charlotte. "Does that.. make sense?"
