۩ Dallas is a very cocky person that feels that he can't possibly fail at anything. He thinks himself to be a real badass, and, while he has the physical skill to back it up, his usual targets are people he knows are weaker than he is. However, he can often be goaded into a fight with a stronger opponent. Dallas finds that if he gets told that something is impossible (or worse, that 'he can't do it', he will go out of his way to prove that person wrong.
When it comes to people, Dallas has a short patience for weak-willed people. While he might actually respect or start a rivalry with someone that has the stones to call him out, those who just flinch and run are disgusting to this young man. Dallas can come off as right-out uncaring, and rightfully so. He can be very loyal and helpful when he wants to, but it usually involves some sort of bribery if someone wants to force him into it.
Though he is irredeemably mean and rude, Dallas has a tender spot for Poke'mon. With his own Poke'mon, he carefully tends to them and dotes on them after a battle, win or lose. Though he doesn't mind cracking a bat across someone's head if they get mouthy, he doesn't stand for cruelty on Poke'mon. If called out on this obvious line in the sand, he is dismissive and usually resorts to bad-mouthing the party in question.
When in a romantic relationship, Dallas is no less of a jerk than usual, though he will definitely cut a lot more slack, and even apologize for hurting feelings. He might even go and put that person's needs first, though he will likely gloat about it later on.

۩ Dallas Tucker used to be a kind young boy that liked school, and loved Poke'mon. He lived with his Mother Laura and Father Tex, in a small apartment in Goldenrod City. His father was a great trainer that made a decent living battling. Tex is the reason why Dallas found such a love for Poke'mon, and battling, too.
One day, though, Tex left to go to Kanto to take on the Gym Leaders in the region, and he never came back. Dallas was 7 years old. As his mother had to take on the challenge of being a single mother, which went well enough at first. Dallas was forlorn and depressed, but he kept up the delusion that his dad was going to come back someday. He made his way through elementary school without any real problems. But as he started to pose the idea of being a Poke'mon Trainer (or a Coordinator; some of the coolest Poke'mon he ever saw were at contests), his mother started to push that idea out his mind, trying to break his love for something that took her husband away.
During Middle and High School, Dallas started to go from depressed to frustrated to outright angry. Instead of letting people get the time to make him feel bad about his life, he decided to lash out and bring the pain to them preemptively. He started to get sent home for fights and vandalism at school, taking out his frustration on people much like he was as a kid. He did enjoy time playing sports, though he didn't get to play too much because of his disciplinary record.
It wasn't until he hit the headmaster of the second correctional school with a bat that Dallas got into serious trouble. He spent his last two years of high school in juvenile hall, where he was forced to finish his schooling (which he did rather well) and figure out what he planned to do with his life. When it got down to it, as much as he loved busting people up, he felt that there was only one thing that he actually loved. So, as soon as his time was up, Dallas emerged, still a huge tool, but a tool with a dream to stake his claim in the world of Poke'mon.
