Physical Description: Bronzed skin. Sun-bleached hair. Gem-like, crystal clear blue eyes. Fine, beautiful features. Long, slender limbs resolving in deft, almost unnaturally protracted digits. Saed is horribly difficult to pin down, gender-wise, though they are undeniably stunning. At 5'10", they could be either gender, and they seem to either enjoy the confusion this can create, or to be unaware or uncaring of it. Their style of dress is luxurious, and meant to tempt and draw the eye despite the amount of cover it provides—mystery, after all, is much more alluring than putting all on display at once. Fine wrapped silks and glittering chains and beads and bells of turquoise and gold fleck their form, draping and swaying as if caught in a constant light breeze.
Their movements are never harried, always precise and graceful, effortless to the extreme through turns and turns of practice and perfection. Every gesture and motion is intentional and meant to entrance, and that smile—...
Personality: More like a courtesan, or perhaps a geisha from ancient Earth than a trader, Saed is a being of beauty and charm. Fully embracing the mystery that comes with their appearance, they thrive on and fully enjoy the practice of using their unique skills to facilitate interest and trade. It seems a bit underhanded, perhaps, to use ones looks just to make a few marks...but what a waste not to! As a child they were confused and often shunned for their lack of easy definition, but they have come to embrace themselves fully once through their candidate and weyrling turns, and never once have they looked back.
Thriving on beauty and fine things, they've dedicated themselves to mastering the art of trading, what loyalties they owe aside from that to Cath, of course, are to Aishe, whom they view as a mingle of mentor and the parental figure that they never really had, and the rest of the caravan group. It would be safe to call them eager devotees of the mistress of trade, wholly focused on learning her ways and means and determined to please her and find her favor.
Though beyond rare, their anger is as terrifying in its terrible beauty as in its potency. They hold no attachments but those they've chosen in their dragon and their mistress, and once roused they can be just as vicious and cold as they can be warm and coaxing. The fires of hate can burn just as high and hot as those of love, after all.

Cons: Aloof, distant, hedonistic, the capacity to be very cruel.
History: Born to a somewhat traditional family in a traditional hold, Saed was an outcast from day one. Too lovely a child to be a boy, and too strong-willed to be a girl, their parents swiftly found disfavor with them over their more typical siblings. They are loathe to speak much of their childhood, but they found some minor relief upon being searched, and they leapt at the chance to flee the unwelcoming home they'd been raised in.
The candidates at least were a little better behaved. The weyr was a more progressive one, and girls and boys were ranked the same, though an ongoing issue of what sort of dragon they might impress caused more than a fair amount of gossip throughout their own age group as well as the older riders. No longer tortured, but still outcast and uncomfortable, finding a true understanding ally in the brown Cath was wholly the saving grace of the youngster, though it did little to convince the crowds one way or the other about just what they were or were meant to be. It was as a candidate that they began to learn to woo and ensnare both genders, to make them intrigued and not judgmental, and they perhaps left behind more than one broken heart when, at the end of training, they fled the weyr without a glance back.
For several turns they roamed Pern, learning about themselves and trying to find where seemed right. A chance meeting with Aishe's caravan seemed to finally connect the dots for the pair, and dragon and rider alike begged her to take them in and train them, to let them learn and work for her.
Other: I am not actually sure if they're male, female, both, or neither? They are more of a concept than a being, some days, even to themselves. XD

Physical Description: Cath is a nearly solid, almost plain looking brown at first glance, though he's got all the right proportions and shapes to make him rather pleasing to look at. Closer inspection reveals subtle markings, paler streaks and almost red mottling across his rich warm hide. Often placid and charming, his eyes are usually deep, rich green.
Personality: If a flower child was reborn as a dragon, Cath would be that dragon. He loves everyone, accepts everyone, and lives on the hope for peace and plenty for all. The only thing he can't abide is people antagonizing his rider. No one is a special as his rider! On any other topic though, he tends to fold like paper as long as letting the other have their way makes them happy. Thankfully giving ground never seems to bother the brown, though Saed has told him more than once to actually try to get what he wants too.
Pros: Loving, accepting, open.
Cons: Simple, yielding, complacent.
