She'd heard about this guy, loosely. Mostly from Cassiopeia, a heads up that someone friendly was out in the woods, and not to just. Attack the guy. That he was an ally.

Though, from what she'd, again, loosely heard about the invasion of Negaspace and how that went titsup, well. Morgan wasn't sure if she was more impressed by the boldness, or the stupidity. Even if she was being a hypocrite with the latter--she'd have gone charging in guns blazing no questions asked, had she been able.

But now she walked in relative silence, keeping her eyes peeled as she began to venture closer and closer to the forest beyond the city. She carried with her a simple bag whose straps were looped over her shoulder. Again, some of what Cassiopeia had mentioned--that the guy didn't have much in the way of supplies, only what others brought. The bag itself was a sturdy sack, made of black material that was mostly waterproof. Inside were simple protein bars, small bags of pretzels, a small bag of apples, a few water bottles, and in one hand, she carried a thermos and cup on a take out beverage tray. Both carrying hot chocolate, and one she figured would stay with their extraterrestrial visitor.

But she hesitated for a long instance before finally calling out, "Uh, Caedus? Sorry to barge in, but I heard from a friend, another senshi, that you'd be out here."

Caedus was closer than she thought; he lurked in the shadows when he could, eyes downcast so as to avoid emitting a golden glow. When the Senshi approached, he had been careful—as usual. It was always a difficult process, trying to determine who was safe and who was worth risking the danger.

But, she had said the magic word—and that meant she was worth taking a risk for.

He moved between the trees slowly, not unlike a shadow, himself, until he was close enough that he didn’t have to raise his voice. He had gotten better at conversing, but even now he didn’t seem particularly thrilled with the idea of using any more volume than absolutely required. “You are not barging,” he informed. “The forest is open for everyone.” Perhaps that was why he felt like he could stay here. “What do you require of me?”

Ah hell. There wasn't an aura to tell her where the guy was, and to suddenly hear a voice, the young woman visibly jumped, body turning quickly towards the side she heard it coming from, crouching a bit on reflex and eyes bright beneath her hood as she took a few hasty steps back. But the defensive posture was dropped as she let out a rush of breath.

she finished, raising her voice on the apology and rising from her posture. "You uh... freaked me out there." As if that wasn't obvious."Not uh, a thing against you. I mean. I was told you were hiding out here?" Morgan let out another breath and lifted a hand to rub at her face. "....great first impressions on my part."

Dropping her hand, she pulled her hood back, offering a smile--friendly, but an edge of embarrassment. "Sorry. I'm used to finding foes, not friends. But I came out here to try and change that run of luck." A bold statement, sure, but she paused to remove the sack from her shoulder, offering it towards the alien. Though she took a step towards him, she paused immediately, brow furrowing a bit in confusion if he would be alright with her approaching.

"A friend of mine told me a little about you, and how you helped senshi and knights a bit against the Negaverse. I awoke after all that went down, but she--oh, Cassiopeia?--she said that you got supplies from others, so... I grabbed some things." Did that suffice as a proper explanation? She shifted her weight a little before adding, "You stuck your neck out for us, so think of it as a thanks."

Her gaze skimmed over his form, taking in the dark clothing and hunched pose. He wasn't... human, right? Not from Earth? A legit alien.

Though, weren't all senshi, if someone wanted to argue that point?

"It's just some snacks and water, and you can keep the bag. Also got a thermos of hot chocolate if you'd like it." How bold was too bold?

When Morgan had jumped, Caedus had taken a step backwards as if he expected her to attack. His body was rigid and he was clearly on the defensive; it took a long moment for him to slowly relax. “I apologize,” he said shortly. “I did not mean to startle you. I did not realize you were not aware of my presence.”

He gave her a moment to take that in before he added, “You do not need to ring me any thanks. I am grateful for everything, but I know that the attack on the Negaverse was not as successful as everyone hoped. I realize that many see it as a failure, for which I take blame and apologize. The next time will not be so shoddily planned.” He shifted positions just slightly; this was not a time for talks of war, not when he was barely able to take care of himself. He eyed the bag she carried and seemed thoughtful. “I appreciate your company as much as your gifts, please know that. I am perpetually astounded by the kindness of humans.”

As astounded by the good in them as he was astounded by the bad, at least.

His defensive posture was expected, given her own near hostility. She remained somewhat quiet as he relaxed his form, nodding her head vaguely to his apology. A small grimace of a smile formed on her lips. "You don't give off an energy. Kinda like a non-powered person doesn't. I'd just been... expecting one?" But that'd be rather misfortunate thing for someone trying to hide.

That he didn't immediately take the offered goods was of interest to her, listening as he spoke with a graceful tone. Diplomatic. Formal. Someone who needed a few drinks, would be her usual judgment. "You didn't squash them out of existence, but sounds like you enabled Order to still get a solid hit. That's not a failure, it's a small success that can give hope for a better, stronger outcome next time."

Not that she could speak of it much herself, but her voice was still firm. She believed in what she was saying. Even if she didn't fault him for how he spoke of the events. There had been deaths on both sides, from what she understood.

But she offered a bright smile, perhaps a hair extra of forced joy and cheeriness as he switched topics. Wouldn't push the fight talk if he didn't want it. "I'll keep that in mind. But I would be grateful if you took them. Lived a while on and off the streets, and I know a good chunk of others who are in the same or worse position. It's not an easy life. Do you have anything out here for shelter when the weather goes bad?" There was no dreary tone to her voice, merely the same chipper, nonchalant she'd chosen to swap to, still offering the sack and thermos towards him. "I'm Sailor Morgan, Senshi of Gateways."

Her lips twitched as her smile grew more genuine, a spark of amusement in her bright eyes. "So... what do you do for fun out here? Entertainment?"

Caedus’ view of the events that night had been somewhat tarnished by the more hostile members of Order; while he had claimed to give what warning and aid that he could, there were those that were not quick to forgive. Those that went without being prepared, themselves. Those that blamed him for a failure they all shared.

He had opened the door and they had stepped through.

He did not argue any of this with Morgan; instead, he bowed his head slightly and seemed to appreciate her opinion on the matter.

“I will take them, thank you,” he said, only now reaching to accept what she offered. He would not risk being rude to someone who showed him kindness, nor could he risk not accepting any help when it was offered.

Only, he faltered as he reached; his eyes, for the briefest moment, took on a faraway look—and then he blinked, suddenly finding all his focus on her. He looked like he was scrutinizing something. His expression was blank though, finally, he nodded.

“Well then, Morgan, Senshi of Gateways, it is a pleasure to meet you.”

He seemed curious, eye still tracing her features, but fearing he might make her uncomfortable if he just looked on at her he answered, “I manage in the way of shelter. There are many case. I am afraid I do not have much by way of entertainment but what is shared with me. I cannot afford too many hobbies, I must always be vigilant. I spend most of my time thinking. Reflecting. Planning.”
