(Something about the message was chilling, especially when Preacher's response on the listserv pulled out a please. Yet all Jeremiah could think, as he sat at his laptop and typed up a response was one word. Though he was no longer sure who this was or, at least, who was on the other end. Just he was not, in the business, of ending lives. At least- not anymore. Just that one.

His mind immediately went to Eve's message on the listserv. Yet that would mean this was- Why was she hiding behind runes that said something else? This was not someone who was like the Spinel Lady, this was someone who wanted death to stop her from doing more harm. It was true, though he was not certain that was the death she wanted. Jeremiah thought of Ezra, of how he said a swift death would be kinder and of Shiloh, who wanted to do what he could to save her. Jeremiah was of the same mind: to save the young woman who deserved to live. Yet if they were going to do something, they were clearly running out of time.
