Surtr was soaring high above scanning the small were villages looking for where he was told to meet the queen. He had become closer to the woman and now since she was no longer carrying and her child was a youngling the two could finally begin exploring the world. While they were still within her country it was a start and Surtr would take whatever he could get.

Locking in on the village Surtrs wings tightened and he descended his speed growing exponentially as the air began to screech and howl as he pierced through it. As he closed in on the ground his wings opened up and the wind bellowed as he halted landing gracefully before his wings closed against his back searching around for the queen he was told to meet.

As Surtr landed suddenly he felt himself hit, a wolf with red eyes. It over took him in moments and suddenly he was on his back. As she came upon him ribs cracked and he coughed a sigh leaving him as blood was coughed up immediately after. She howled with exuberance and upon removing herself Surtr coughed again rolling over and spitting the blood up before turning to her and taking her hand to help himself up. "That force, as good as always...." Surtr said wiping the blood from his lips as a symphony of crack emanated from his chest the ribs healing in a matter of moments.

She was obviously in quite the mood and if Surtr was perhaps a bit stronger physically she wouldn't have been able to so easily break his ribs. Though thanks to his prowess in the magic arts he was able to quickly make up for that deficiency. "What do you propose we do my furry friend?" He said playfully teasing the queen about the fact she was a were. The two had become very casual with one another and as such Surtr tended to tease her a bit. He noted her warrior like garb and nodded softly. "Hmmmm, looks like you're ready for an adventure..... Sure you can keep up?" He teased playfully waiting for her to inform him of where they were off to.

Surtr chuckled at her remarks shrugging at it. "I suppose we shall soon see." Surtr said teasing her a bit as she spaced out. It was odd seeing this side of her, so carefree. Though he couldn't deny he didn't enjoy it. It was a nice change of pace to be sure. In addition with her being taken Surtr himself could relax a bit. Normally he came off as too friendly and elicited a response that was undesirable but in this particular situation such an outcome was impossible so he could truly be himself without fearing any unforeseen consequences.

She mentioned the two almost dying and Surtr chuckled at those words. He was tickled by the possibility. "How wondrous, a bit of adventure. Will be nice to see an alpha fight first hand." Surtr said with a smile before allowing a bit more of a laugh at her mentioning she was offended. "Really? I'd imagine it would take words far sharper than that to wound a woman of your stature." He said subtly sliding a compliment into his words as he began to follow her off to some land that was likely to bring about some fun.

"Hmmm can I keep up with the likes of you? Well if Xavier can I certainly can, though as I've heard from him that isn't always the case." He said chuckling to himself. Surtr was certainly the kind of person to tease others but teasing Xavier? That was far and away what he enjoyed most. Their brotherly relationship unique in nature lead him to always enjoying their back and forth and even getting a few jabs in when Xavier wasn't there. Something Surtr was doing now and likely to do again during their journey. Upon getting next to her he tucked his wings to his back as the two were off to carve out a nice slice of adventure for themselves. It would be fun to finally see her in action. Most of their relationship was limited to talking so to be able to stretch their legs and slay a few foes together would only deepen the bond they had now.

"Sounds good to me, I do love a good mystery." He said with a smirk very excited to see what lay around the corner. As they neared a clearing Surtr seemed to discover the hulking hog the same moment his compadre did. He ducked against a tree as she shifted into the brown ball of furry fury and Surtr nodded enjoying the fact that the two thought alike.

A few moments later he felt a knock at his mental walk down it went as the queen communicated her take on the situation which only brought a bright smile Surtrs lips. "Now you're talking my speed. I'll flush the creature, you go for the kill." Surtr mused knowing she would hear his thoughts. Surtr had hunted hog before granted those were smaller in nature and likely dumber but the core concept remained. He stepped back into the shadows and took to the skies within a matter of moments fire would rain down from above coating half the clearing. Surtr landed just on the other side of the semi circle eying the behemoth of a boar that stood before him.

It was obvious the creature was angered it dug it's feet into the ground and huffed before letting out a thunderous cry. Those Surtr Neely smiled at this as a waved of fire fished by him seeking to envelop the hog in its lethal embrace. The creature turned on its heels and barreled off toward Azela completely unaware that she lay within the brush waiting to pounce.

As the hog ran off towards Azela Surtr watched and the fire began to die down. He watched as she was thrown into a tree and stepped towards he as if to help his own energy building. Though he stopped it as he saw he shift and draw her sword. He smirked watching her user her superior speed to deal a lethal blow. He nodded before turning to the fire and holding his hands out before pressing them upon the ground. As he did this the fire itself died down and the now ashen ground lay barren and desolate.

"My my, someone likes to play rough." Surtr teased glancing back to Azela and casting a playful gaze to her before spreading his fingers out across the ashen ground. Within a few seconds grass and saplings burst from the ground growing and leaving the area more fertile and lively than before. He rose and turned to walk over to the stream before kneeling down next to her and washing his hands next to her. "Quite a fierce warrior eh? I suppose you must be in order to keep Xavier in line." He jested while giving her a compliment on her prowess. "So where will we go now? I'm looking forward to getting to see some more of that fabled ferocity first hand." He said with a smile obviously having more fun and expecting there to be more as they neared their destination.

As she showered him with praise Surtr batted his hand as if to brush the compliments away. "I'm less than charming, and older than the artifacts in Karsts museum. It is a wonder anyone enjoys the company of such an old fool." He said chuckling softly. "Well it's a good thing you are taken or else I fear we'd be fighting ever male in this world." He said chuckling at the notion of having to beat off all the suitors that would come flocking to her. It made him smirk the more he thought of it, though with that hideous scorpions tail her mate had would do the job for sure though.

She mentioend Xavier calming down and Surtr nodded rather impressed with the woman. "You're truly amazing Azela. I'd wager the only woman on this plane of existence that could tame such a man. In addition you managed to raise two children into respectable people." Surtr said with a smirk getting in a subtle jazz that Azela raised Xavier as well as Franny. She mentioned they could go anywhere and Surtr shrugged. "What you like. If you wish to abandon our quest now we can. Though I was intrigued by diving deeper into the rabbit hole.....Unless you're scared." Surtr said with a playful smirk teasing the queen wondering what she would do at such a challenge. If she wished to go somewhere he'd happily take her though he wondered if she'd wish to pursue this instead. It was her land and it seemed filled with refuse that needed to be cleaned.

Surtr merely shrugged at what she said. "I killed the last woman I loved. Seems like almost any man could do better than that." He said blatantly playing a trump card to halt and further discussion on the matter. While it pained him to speak of such an event it hadn't failed to silence those who seemed insistent on telling him he was so great.... at least it hadn't failed yet. As she began to speak of her first Husband Surtr nodded he was quite the fool, Surtr explicitly remembered Xavier saying that many a time. When she mentioned material things the Secret Fae nodded again in agreement. "Material gifts mean nothing if there is no meaning behind him." He said his hand instinctively coming up to play with the necklace around his neck. It was the only physical possession he had and it meant more to him than any other.

"By showing you cared for him you did plenty of taming. The man hadn't ever experienced a woman like that and I imagine feeling love like that would warm even the coldest of hearts." Surtr said implying that just the respect and love Azela gave as a friend was what blossomed their relationship to the next level. He had seen countless examples of love during his life span and knew full well that it was a force to be reckoned with. He had stopped trying to discern its core long ago finding something so subjective impossible to catalogue and define into words.

She laughed heartily at his joke and then rose which caused Surtr to remove his fingers from the necklace and rise with her. She offered him a chance to choose and the man rubbed his chin for a moment pondering. After a few seconds he smirked before looking to Azela. "Into the rabbit hole we go.... I know a place that should suffice as a little rewards once we finish here. So we'll proceed deep within this forest and then I'll take you to a secret spot of mine to relax." He said nodding obviously sure of the plan now. He outstretched his arm gesturing for her to lead, she was after all queen of these lands and as such it would be foolish not to follow her.
