Greenie: Sabia`nafsi had been undergoing a number of trials it seemed as of late and all she wanted to do was to pack up and head to her den, never to leave it. Or much more simple because of course life went on she would be just as satisfied having a private audience with her beloved, Hoaka. She hadn't been setting enough time aside for him - not since they had the cubs as she nervously watched them grow up into reasonable young adults, but now that they were free from the den she had plenty of extra time. (When it wasn't spent making sure Muhuri kept her paws busy.)
Even then she found that her daughter was plagued to find trouble when word returned of a pale male that had swept through a number of their females. Of course the pelt was ideal, being entirely white, but where was the dignity? Had this male been that convincing to have them at his mercy.
So she headed back to the den that her and Hoaka shared to wait for him, some silence wasn't so bad either.
nessiaing: Hoaka had been keeping himself busy though not nearly as busy as his mate had been. Hoaka was happy for her and all the things that she had been finding more in life, but he missed her and having her attention. Plus with the cubs out of the den now it was even harder. He was sitting by the den when he spotted Sabia’s white coat come his way. A smile slowly crept across he maw.
He rose to his feet and started walking towards his mate not willing to wait for her to get to him. Even though they had been together for a long time the purple male was still as in love as the first day. “Good afternoon my love.” he murmered as he gave her a nuzzle.
Greenie: The entire way she walked changed when Hoaka came into view, she lightened and relaxed in ways that she couldn't begin to describe. He put her at ease, regardless of what was going on around them and although it had been nice to have more tasks, being busy didn't keep her mind at ease the way it used to. "Good afternoon." She offered warmly and nuzzled him right back.
"How have you been today?" Her decision was made quickly, she'd not have their coversation start off with fretting about others choices. they had made their beds and would need to lay in it when the time came. "Hopefully you haven't had to much trouble." She smirked, whisking past him to find shelter in their den, she figured he would follow, this just allowed her some privacy from outside world.
nessiaing: Hoaka din’t even think about not following his mate into the den. He instinctively followed right at her tail moving quickly into the cool shade of their home. He missed it being noisey with cubs but at the same time it was nice to have moments with just him and Sabia again. It was a hard to decided which one he wanted more but he knew that in truth he would always want more cubs, for as long as Sabia wanted them anyways.
“Oh you know me I find trouble where ever I go.” he laughed with his made as he quickly made himself comfortable on the den floor hoping his mate would make herself comfortable next to him. “More importantly how have you been?” he asked her eyeing her over trying to figure out how exactly his love wsa doing.
Greenie: The confidence she had in her mate was found soundly at the clicks of his claws as he entered the den behind her. Her ears flicked to listen to that familiar sound as it echoed and the reality hit her of just how quiet things had become. "You were always good at finding trouble." She smirked, and even rewarded him with a small laugh. Her red eyes rotated with her as she turned to look at him and noted that he'd laid down - the sight was incredibly welcoming. With little hesitation she moved next to him and dropped to the cold surface of their home, then she leaned against him and the cold wasn't so cold anymore.
"I'm doing alright - though I'm a little worried. It seems we've had visitors recently that may or may not have caused some issues." She thought back to the recent visits of a pale lion - as described by their daughter and a green lion that she had witnessed herself. Of course she wasn't sure what damage had been caused, but there were always possibilities. Though she hadn't told her daughter, she had been proud that the pale lioness had come to her with the news as quickly as possible.
"It's so quiet in here." Her remark was a little strange considering where she had gone, but in reality the thought that perhaps other cubs could be running about made a small bit of jealousy swell up in her. "Or is it just me?" She asked her mate.
nessiaing: Hoaka listened thoughtfully as his mte let out all the thoughts on her mind. “Visitors aren’t always bad, what has made you wary of them?” Hoaka asked. He trusted his mates perceptions of others and if she thought there could be issues than he was quite confident that there might be.
He let out a chuckle, “You know I was thinking the same thing. Our den has gotten really quiet.” He gave his mate a nuzzle. “Do you think we should do something about that?” he asked her mostly joking but at the same time wanting to know her opinion of more cubs. He knew that he wasn’t the youngest of lions any more but he was sure he could still good be a father.
Greenie: "Muhuri came to me with a warning that the pale lion will be watching for the birth of cubs." She explained quietly, wary of any passerbys that could potentially hear them. "It's apparent that he's become aware of the problems we could potentially see in young males and will be looking for them if any lioness he came in contact with should become pregnant." Sabia had a general idea of who he came in contact with, but she couldn't be sure of who would be afflicted with birthing his spawn. "Of course this is all hearsay." She admitted.
The conversation had turned quickly, for the better, and she blushed a little bit as he spoke. Part of her knew he was joking, but for the most part she was sure there was some truth in what he was joking about. "I think we certainly could." Her worries were fading away, though new ones were sprouting up - these worries were simple mothers concerns of course though.
"To hear the sound of cubs paws on our dens floor would be pleasant. Is that something you'd like?" Red eyes looked to Hoaka almost hopefully.
nessiaing: Hoaka had more questions about this male now that he had heard what she had to say. What did he want to do with these males that might be afflicted with the blessing of the pride. Hoaka knew of a few that had the sight but he wasn’t quite as old fassioned as some of the other members of the pride and thought that they were okay. He of course kept a close eye on them but so far no one had shown any true problems. He opted to leave the questions for another time though. Right now much more pleasurable topics were on the table.
“You know me my darling… cubs is soemthing I will always want.” Hoaka loved having a full den. He knew one day he would have grandchildren but he wasn’t really sure that he was ready for that day. He was however very much ready for another litter of his own. “Are you willng to do all the work though again? I mean its really you that does all the hard part, I just get to have the fun.” he told her a wicked grin on his maw.
Greenie: "That's true, I should have known the answer to that question." She mused with a growing grin at his answer. She could see the question behind his eyes after she had explained what was going on, but it was clear they'd come to the same idea and left that aside for the time being, they'd have plenty of time to prepare for possible issues later on and from what she had gathered the males that had come weren't that aggressive - basically she needn't worry about an attack, yet.
"Oh my.. the aches and pains, the discipline and berating them to do what they're told.." She teasingly hesitated a moment and followed that up with a mock answer. "You mean all of the things I do already as a part of my daily job?" The grin altered gracefully into a wicked smirk. "At least by having cubs I get a reward as well, the little ones are always able to ground me." That was the honest truth, when she had first come back to Hoaka she was a different lioness than what he had remembered, but with cubs running about she seemed to lose a touch of that hardness.
"Let's do it, let's grow our family."
nessiaing: Hoaka coudn’t contain himself when his mate gave the final yes something he knew on pretty much every level that she woud but hearing it made it more real more exciting. He quickly lept to his feet playful as a cub again. “Yay” he exclaimed giving his mate a big kiss on the cheak.
“Let’s start trying now!” He mused falling into a playful pounce. The dark coloured male was over joyed to have another family he hoped it wouldn’t take them long but nature had a way of taking its course, he knew everything would happen in its own time.
