Derrick sighed a bit as he stretched out before going off to do parkour practice for the day. Lately he had only been in powered mode doing it because he was out patrolling, but it was nice being able to just go and enjoy a nice day off. Sure, it was an extremely warm day for March, but at the least he could do was appreciate it, and one of the best ways in his own opinion was doing one of his favorite outdoor activities. It seemed that he wasn't the only parkour-er here today. Some of those from his usual group were here too and they would be doing their regular practice course. As much as he would have liked to go somewhere else to do this, the park was the best place as you would be less likely to get yelled at by someone since it was easy to stay out of other's way, especially since the city had made a small parkour course for those interested. And besides, doing parkour meant one had to watch their surroundings to make sure they weren't running into anyone or anything anyway. He smiled to himself once he was done with his stretches and adjusted the goggles onto his eyes. He would have just gone with sunglasses, but he found that those fell off a lot more and were quite the hindrance. "All right, ready to go." And with that, he started off doing the usual course.

The warm weather brought Gisela's practice outside. Better than being cooped up in that stuffy old house all day. She and her parents did everything they could to keep it clean but... when winter kept the windows closed there was only so much they could do. So today, while the windows were open to air out the dusty scent of three months without fresh air, Gisela stretched out on you yoga mat beneath the warm sun. Corpse pose was so much better when there was something to warm you. It was easier to let yourself go. Easier to let thoughts drift away like clouds sailing past. Easy to forget everything. Event he jubilant sounds of psring faded from Gisela's mind as meditation took over, pulling her beneath the surface to float, suspended in time. It was as close to sleep as she would ever get, and she had made peace with that. This kind of inbetween... it wasn't so bad. There were no nightmares to hunt her. No shadows to seeth in dark corners. Nothing to lap hungrily at her feet. Just her, the sun, and her breathing.

Going through the course was easy enough. Derrick had practically memorized it at this point. Which was why he didn't come here that often anymore unless he hadn't been here for a couple of months. And winter was always a nice months-long break away from the course. However, today it seemed that it wasn't the best day to go and do this course as he watched a couple of other parkour-ers moving away from the course. Seems they have something else in mind. He thought as he continued on, going past the point that the others had split away from. He was continuing on at the same pace until he realized that there was something in the way! He was barely able to make himself stop before he realized that there was someone in the middle of the course! Taking a few breaths, he wondered if how he should tell her that she might want to move, lest she get run over.

Half way between waking and sleeping, something registered in Gisela's mind. It took a few moments to place the stimuli, but once she did, her peaceful expression turned sour. It was another person. She opened her eyes only slightly, straining against the bright sunlight, and gazed coolly up at the boy who was approaching her. His expression was clear -- he had something to say to her. Gisela's expression soured further. She didn't practice a solitary hobby nor did she come to a secluded part of the park to be spoken to. She shut her eyes tight again and tucked her shoulder blades back under her heart, readying to come out of corpse pose and begin her practice. Fine. He can speak to her if he wanted. But she wasn't going to speak back. Carefully, slowly, she peeled her hips up off the mat and towards the sky. Maybe if he saw that she was clearly engaged in something else, he would leave her alone. She breathed there for a moment before tucking her hands up under her back and lifting one leg high up into the air. There was delicious tension in the back of her thigh as her muscles groaned with the stretch. She almost smiled with it. Almost.

Derrick hesitated as she started to move into what seemed to be... yoga poses? Well, at least she wasn't just sleeping, but she could still possibly be run over by someone, and there really was no way to ask her to move and her not be bothered by it. This was why he didn't talk to strangers that much. Too much getting offended by innocuous things. He sighed before getting a bit closer to her. "Sorry to interrupt, but I just wanted to warn you that you're in the middle of a parkour course in the park and while you don't have to move, you may accidentally get hurt by someone." There, he said it. He could brace himself for whatever would come next. It wouldn't be pleasant, but the warning had been passed and he had done his duty.

SSBrosB Feel free to decide if there is a sign or not! Of course. Gisela sighed deeply, trying to keep her irritation in check. She cracked one bright blue eye and considered the young man who spoke to her. There were several courses of action, not all of them kind. But since when did Gisela care about being kind? Her constant lack of sleep didn't leave much energy for regulating emotions, after all. And chances were she would never see this boy again... "Is there a sign," she asked, mustering as much sugar into her voice as she could, "or is this just a track of the park that a small faction has pissed on like dogs?" Truth be told, she had not seen a sign, but that didn't mean that there wasn't one. Honestly, the park should have any course for parkour enclosed, that way instances like this could be avoided. Oh well. Even if there was a sign and this was an official parkour course, she had no intention of leaving. Not now that she was into her progression, dipping her hips down to reach the mat and then lifting them back up, leg still high and straight in the air.

Well, the girl certainly wasn't happy, but that wasn't surprising at all. No one liked being told to move once they found what seemed to be the perfect spot for what they wanted to do. He nodded to her though, and pointed to a sign that was about 7 feet away from them. However, it could be argued that she was far enough away, so he wouldn't be lecturing her or anything. "Yes, it's not a very good one but there is."He shrugged his shoulders a bit, about to get back into the groove of running the parkour course. He had warned her, and that was all he could do. He certainly didn't have the authority to force her to move. And besides, she didn't seem to want the company anyway and was definitely more interested in the yoga she was doing. Sweenys_Revenge Not sure if you want this to last for a long time, but if you want we can each do one more post to close it out?

SSBrosB This will be my closing post -- if you want we can just assume the last one you made was yours! Sorry about Gisela's behavior, she's a little mean... "Well," she huffed, switching legs, "I guess you will just have to avoid me. Practice a little common sense and not trample another human being." This time, she didn't bother hiding the irritation in her voice. It was, admittedly, wounded pride from being proven wrong, but she wasn't about to give voice to that sentiment. "Besides, it looks like you are the only one running this course at the moment. So for the next forty minutes, leave me the hell alone and I won't actively try to get in your way." She did a few more dips on that leg and then relaxed back into corpse before lifting her chest and folding forward. "Do we have a deal Spiderman?"

Derrick raised an eyebrow, but wouldn't argue with her. He shrugged. "Fine with me." And with that he continued on, practicing the course. If anything, he at least learned that he needed to watch where he was going more often, but otherwise decided to forget the confrontation. This is why he didn't make small-talk. Sweenys_Revenge Awesome! And it's fine, it's always good to rp with people that have all sorts of personalities. 3nodding Thanks so much!
