xx PROF. DAVID THOMPSON && KIARA THOMPSON"Really wish I hadn't let you talk me into this..." The man muttered under his breath, drawing a sigh from his sister, who was currently standing by the bow of the ship with her camera in hands. She had been trying to capture a picture of perhaps the last sunset they may ever see - key word, trying. David had been going on nonstop about how stupid they were to take part in a mission as dangerous as this. "What's the matter now?" She asked in exhaustion, turning around to look at her brother.
The professor lifted his gaze from the book he had been reading in a failed attempt to distract himself from his own thoughts. "Everything about this is wrong. This isn't some ********' Indiana Jones movie, this is a suicide mission--" "Can you stop being a whiny b***h for like two seconds please? Believe it or not, David, things have changed since 1944. Our aircraft has advanced, our military technology has advanced." She was fed up with his nonsense and it was audible in the young woman's pleading voice. "Do you honestly think a little storm is going to bring us down?"
"A 'little storm'?" David laughed wryly at the foolishness of Kiara's statement and stood up. "This island is perpetually surrounded by storm clouds, you idiot! I've been studying this for the last decade of my life, I would know--and the island itself?? It is shaped like a ******** skull. If that isn't a clear sign of what's to come, I don't know what is." His thoughts were interrupted when Kiara suddenly lifted her camera and snapped a photo of his big dumb face, smiling brightly while she did so. "Lighten up a little. We have another day before we get there anyways, so enjoy it while it lasts," she finished, before walking off to explore more of the ship. Her goal was to take as many photos as she could to document their journey to this uncharted island.
David, on the other hand, was too busy studying and worrying to enjoy anything about this trip. So, he chose to just go back to his chair and read some more.

► J a k e x B o l I i n ◄ xxx and xxx ► J e s s a b e l l e x B r o w n e ◄ —¤÷(`[¤* *¤]´)÷¤— Jake was trimming his beard in the bathroom. It was quite the challenge with the swaying of the boat. He finally managed to finish up and he used a towel to wipe off an excess hair. He looks over himself in the mirror, making sure it was alright before he went back to his cabin. He changed into some decent clothes before he left the cabin. He stopped a few doors down and he knocked on it. He was seeing if his friend, Jessabelle was there. However, he received no answer so he naturally assumed she was somewhere on the ship.
Jake took off to explore around the ship. This trip was exhausting honestly. He was lucky to even be on the ship honestly. He was all for exploring. He loved being somewhere new and daring. The main reason he even had money for all of his traveling was because once his parents passed on, he inherited what they had saved up. He felt bad using it, but his parents also knew it was his dream to visit as many places as he could before he would decide to settle down with someone. He walked around the ship, before he looked out at the water. He could see dolphins off in the distance. It was already getting dark. He couldn't believe he kept himself holed up in his cabin for so long. Especially when Jessabelle hadn't bothered him.
Jessabelle on the other hand had stopped by the kitchen and was making her way towards the front of the ship. She had a piece of bread in her hand and was snacking on it. The blonde’s eyes shifted, seeing David reading. Everyone met each other briefly, but they were all pretty much acquaintances. The reason Jessabelle was even on the ship was because she was a medic. She could be there for anyone that got hurt and needed a diagnosis of what it was and how to make it better.
Jessabelle decided to go sit near David, however her attention was on the darkening night. “It is going to be a beautiful night.” She spoke out before looking at him, she had a British accent when she spoke. She paused, “If you're busy I don't mind shuttng up.” She laughed some.

xx PROF. DAVID THOMPSON && KIARA THOMPSONDavid's thoughts were interrupted when a woman decided to occupy the chair beside him, and he too looked up to the darkening sky above. "That's one way to put it," he said mostly to himself, taking off his reading glasses for the moment. A beautiful night full of anxiety. They couldn't send in scouts or map the terrain with a drone, so they were essentially going in blind. Tactically, that didn't settle with the professor very well. He preferred to be prepared and know what he was heading into.
If it weren't for Kiara and her ever-so-persistent demeanour, he would still be at home, huddled in the warmth of his bed and reading a good book. She had told him that this would be the greatest adventure of their lives and made certain to point out that it was a once in a life time opportunity.
Adjusting his glasses, David let out a bit of a sigh and crossed his legs, ankle over knee. He rested his notebook against his knee and began jotting down more notes, eyebrows creased in concentration. It was only when the woman spoke up again that he realized how impolite he was being. "Oh, I'm sorry," he began, shaking his head at himself. "Excuse my lack of manners." The man put his notebook and pencil aside before outstretching his hand to the blonde, a friendly smile on his face. "Professor David Thompson. I teach archeology at Marshall University."
Kiara wandered the ship for a bit before she headed below deck to ready her sling backpack. She figured she had taken enough photos to occupy a good portion of her newest photo album and spent time packing her bag with equipment, along with a notebook and multiple writing utensils. Once she was all done, the young woman left her bag on her bed before venturing back up towards deck. The sky was lit up with beautiful shining stars and with the waves gently crashing against the ships exterior, it was almost straight out of a movie. On her way around the ship, she found and spoke to her other teammates, before heading towards the left side of the ship, where she found a man that she hadn't seen before.
"Almost there," she spoke, approaching the rail where he was leaning. She crossed her forearms on it, leaning her body while looking out into the ocean. They had been sailing for five days and she was ready to have her boots on solid ground. She would never admit this to her older brother, but, she was beginning to feel a little bit seasick. They would have no choice but to fly through the storm, as their ship wouldn't be able to handle that kind of brutality. Their military helicopters would arrive to pick them up once the island was in sight and fly them in, and hopefully, out, when the time presented itself.
