Bebe practically skipped into the cafe, conveniently arriving just as there was no line. She bounced up to the counter and grinned happily at the barista, Princess, who was already cautious of the ridiculously cheery neko."What can I get for you, cutie?"she asked with a charming smile. Bebe giggled and replied,"I'm having friends coming soon, I hope! So could I grab a number for us to all order to? Oh, and I'll have a strawberry latte!"She added quickly, almost forgetting her own order. Princess tried to resist rolling her eyes as she wrote the order down."Sure thing sweetheart, here's your number and I'll have your drink out in a sec,"she said sweetly, handing the neko a small chalk-board with the number '3' on it.
Taking the number gratefully, Bebe skipped towards one of the larger tables near the front door. The table was surrounded by couches and armchairs, rather than the usual bistro chairs, and was decorated with cacti in old tea-tins. The excited junior placed the number in the middle of the table and sat on a couch facing the door, eager for her friends to arrive. She'd messaged them all a week ago to get everyone together, but she couldn't help but be nervous. She hadn't seen most of them since their... interesting... trip to the forest. Hopefully they'd all show up!

It had been a while. Callixtus sighed softly to himself as he went over the memories of the trip and the days that followed. It was fair to say that the events were rather stressful on the elf, and as a result he had thrown himself into his art, only emerging from his dorm room when absolutely necessary. The kumiho leaving their isolation had helped his dour mood slightly- at least now he could showing others his photographs and painting about worrying about that spell that had been placed on the group.
But... That was then. He had- for lack of a better word- recovered from his turmoil of emotions. He felt guilty for not meeting with the friends he had made over the course of the trip. He really didn't have too much of an excuse for that one. He blew a strand of hair out his face as he fidgeted with the large flat envelope in his hands. He had promised to stop by to give everyone their photographs and, well... He sort of failed to live up to his promises.
With one last sigh, he made his way into the cafe that had been designated as their meet up spot. Hopefully no one was upset with him. He chewed at his lip as he glanced around the room, easily spotting the pink neko- even among the many colors of the room, her bright colors and attitude made her hard to miss. He smiled slightly as he made his way to the table. "Hello, Bebe. It is nice to see you again."

It was nice to hear from her friends again. She had seen Bebe once since the events in the forest, but it hadn't been a long visit. And she'd spent time with Samhain at the Haunted Hollows. She wondered how they were all doing. It took a while to find the cafe, and she was sure she was late. Would she be the last one to show up? She hoped not. Just as she rounded the corner, she saw a familiar elf vanish into the cafe. That had to be Callixtus.
She entered just behind the elf. "Bebe. Cal." She said softly. "Oh, I'm not the last one here? That's good." Though it was also sad. Were the others going to show up? She sat on the couch next to Bebe. "Is this seat taken?"

He felt like one of those music videos with the Turkish march where you walk up and everything went wrong. He had stayed up too long last night working on a homework assignment and forgotten to tell Lace that he was going out for a while today and if she wouldn't mind watching both their children. Unfortunately by the time he did wake up Lace was nowhere to be seen with a note saying something about shopping with trixxie. Of course Xiaoshi wasn't answering his phone either, which left him phoning Yami in hope that the other wasn't doing something for Vanna and he could promise his soul for babysitting duties. Well luckily Lace didn't have to worry about her significant other's soul being owned but that still meant that he had rune. Ah well the boy was mostly behaved and he was young enough he would probably sleep through the whole thing.
So it was with a sleeping toddler that he practically skidded into the cafe. " sorry. Hope I wasn't... aren't too late" Samhain commented through heavy breathing.
Bebe fiddled with her phone while she waited for the others. She was sure at least Nashira would show up, but what if something happened? Oh well, at least she'd get a coffee out of it. Of course, she realised her fears were for nought as Callixtus appeared in the doorway. Bebe had to stop herself from jumping up, and settled for letting her tails swish around excitedly."Cal! It's Cal!! Cal hi!!"she exclaimed excitedly, practically bouncing in her seat."Yes, it's so good to see you too! It's awful it's been this long, really,"she added, a hint reproachful at herself. She'd just been so busy with classes! She was about to launch into a full tirade of questions when she saw Nashira enter shortly after Callixtus. This time she couldn't help herself; as soon as Nashira settled next to her Bebe hugged her tightly, grinning madly at the hybrid."Shira! You look so beautiful!! Well, you always look beautiful,"she said matter-of-factly."How are you both? You both look good! Oh wow, it's been too long! Are studies going well? Have you done anything exciting since-"her seemingly endless questions were cut off as Samhain made his rather erratic entrance. Bebe waved excitedly at the first friend she had made on the trip, a grin stretching from ear to ear."Of course not Sammy! It's so good to see you! And who's this??"she cooed over the sleeping child.
It was during this commotion that Princess walked over, placing an absurdly wide but shallow mug in front of Bebe. There was a delicate heart traced into the foam on the top."Here's your strawberry latte, cutie,"the waiter said with a wink."Ah, thank-you!"Bebe exclaimed, leaning down to smell the aroma drifting off the drink."It smells divine! And looks so cute! You're so talented!"Princess chuckled lightly and nodded a thanks. Turning to the others who'd arrived, she pulled out a notepad and pink-inked pen."Can I get the rest of you anything? I highly recommend our chai lattes,"she suggested with a charming smile. On the inside, she was less happy. Big groups always meant loud noise and confused orders, in her experience. And a small kid too? Really? And her shift had only just started...
