Okay. So she was more than a little late in coming back to meet Nereid and give her the shinai. But given the things that had decided to start going tits up in her life, Orcus rather thought she deserved a little forgiveness. It wasn't as if she'd missed the first meeting on purpose after all.
Shifting a little to make the shinai strapped to her back a little more comfortable, Orcus sat perched in the tree where she'd been doing her mending and waited. She'd made sure to hide a mirror away near by... just in case Alodie showed up and she needed a rapid getaway. Though hopefully, that wouldn't happen and she'd be able to give Nereid the promised practice sword. And a completely unexpected present as well. It had taken several phone calls and more than a couple of threats, but she'd made it happen. Wrapped in a bit of cheap silk and resting in her lap was an actual sword. It couldn't even go through butter, the edge was so purposely dull, but she rather thought Nereid would like it regardless.
"Hopefully, she won't try to break it over my head," Orcus muttered softly to herself.

Nereid wasn't...late per se. She had just gotten a bit lost that's all. She felt the dark aura touch on her senses and knew it to be the pretty senshi from the mirror. Well at least she hoped it was, but something told her it just was.
As she got closer, she looked around for the aura before focusing up in the tree branches and seeing the smaller delicate woman.
"Ey Orcus!" Nereid saluted her and then casually looking away, "Want me to come up there or you come down?" She seemed a little down about what was going to happen but really...she was bottling all the excitement inside so when Orcus did come closer she could just -poof- happiness!!!
"I promise I won't hurt you nothin'" She laughed.

The casual greeting brought Orcus' head snapping up and a tentative smile to her lips. At least until she registered just how casual the greeting had been. No video game speak or well... exuberance at all. Bollocks. Nereid was mad. Mentally berating herself both for caring about what Nereid thought of her and for not meeting up when she was supposed to have, Orcus sighed and dropped herself lightly out of the tree.
"I'll come down to you," she answered. "And I never thought you would."
Okay, so that was a lie, but a well-meaning one. Moving carefully, she set the silk wrapped bundle on the ground before reaching one arm back and withdrawing the shinai from the makeshift sheath.
"I did tell you I'd bring you a practice sword. You can keep it if you'd like," she said, voice betraying her uncertainty over her reception. "Got you another thing too," she continued, reaching down to the other bundle and scooping it up with a small shake so the silk would fall away. "I think you can probably be trusted with a display sword. I had an acquaintance make it up special for you."
Granted, she only knew of one video game sword, but she rather thought Nereid would enjoy having a replica of the Legend of Zelda sword. Holding both out to the other woman, she tried for another smile, only to falter slightly.
"I'm so sorry I missed our meeting. I didn't want to, but I was kind of busy having my life threatened and staying alive. Please forgive me."

"That's probably a good thing right?" Nereid was practically vibrating with energy as Orcus came closer. As gifts were handed out to her, the waterfall senshi practically beamed at the other senshi and took each one careful. "This is so cool!" She held the practice sword first, "I feel like if I equip it, +10 strength and stuff!" A bit of her video game nonsense came out.
What really got her was the display sword, and she carefully set the practice one down just to look at the piece. Made for her? Orcus had had a friend make it for her! FOR HER! her own sword! From Orcus! HER OWN SWORD MADE FOR HER FROM ORCUS. A forged piece! That was worth priceless amount of game money! It looked just like the Master sword and the woman took it carefully, holding it.
"Orcus....." Her voice was weak and she clutched the sword tightly before setting down next to the practice one.
"You are..." She moved as close as she could to the woman before literally flinging herself on the dark mirror and hugging her so tight. SO TIGHT IN HER ARMS. "YOU ARE SO AMAZING, THE BEST, I COULD NEVER BE MAD AHHHH YOU ARE LITERALLY THE GREATEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD." She squeezed and then pulled back, her face a bit of distance from Orcus own, a bright smile on the blue haired senshi's face. "Like, I am so blessed by the goddesses to have met you! Are you still gonna teach me? Can I keep hugging you?!?!" DaisyMilk Hey look I tagged a thing from ages ago /sobs/ sorry

Relaxing ever so slightly as both gift seemed to go over well, Orcus began to smile a little more confidently. Opening her mouth to explain a little more about the forging friend, Orcus suddenly found herself once more face to bosom with Nereid as the breath was squeezed out of her lungs by the exuberant tackle-hug. Trying to breathe as well as ask for the other girl to relax her grip, Orcus found the sounds coming out of her were more akin to motorboating than actual words.
Then, just before she could ask for the ground to swallow her up out of sheer embarrassment, Nereid released her and she found herself staring into the waterfall senshi's eyes. And she was enjoying it. Tremendously. Though she seriously had to question the wisdom of whatever deities had seen fit to throw the two of them together. Dark and White senshi were doomed to tragedy. But still. Those eyes...
Acting on pure impulse, Orcus reached up quickly to grab Nereid's face and leaned in to kiss her. And only after a moment did she let go and grin somewhat crookedly.
"Of course I'm going to teach you, you ridiculous woman. And you can keep hugging as long as you remember to let me breathe."

Nereid was about to like, pull away from the girl so she could breathe but not till she ALMOST squeezed the death out of her because obviously the dark mirror senshi deserved all the hugs of death.
She had a feeling that Orcus was lacking in the hugs department and since the woman was willing to teach her sword art (online hur hur), she'd take it upon herself to make sure that Orcus would get daily feelings of hugs!
Plus it kind of benefitted her cause Orcus was really pretty and Nereid had like not so pure thoughts about the woman already. She kind of just thought it was a crush and she should just...keep quiet.
Instead though, as she was beaming down at the woman, Orcus took it upon herself to give her a kiss and that was it for Nereid. "Wait wait...." She brought the woman closer before she could get away, "I think I need a little more for a stamina boost, If we're okay with that?" The waterfall senshi leaned back in, pressing her lips against the drowning senshi.
It was mostly to confirm that she was in fact, completely crushing on the other girl and lo and behold. She was.
"Wow. Wow! This is super exciting!" Nereid blew out, and then laughed.

Orcus hadn't expected Nereid to return the kiss. Of course, if she were honest, she hadn't expected herself to kiss the other girl given how little interest she'd had in kissing up to this point.
Blushing hotly, she was the one who broke things off this time as she laughed a little breathlessly. Still, she had a reputation to keep up, so she schooled her face into an expression of mock sternness and glared up at the other girl with slyly twinkling eyes.
"Something is going to have to be done about this height difference. I refuse to be the shortest one. How'm I supposed to woo you in a princely fashion when I am nose to tits with you?"

Nereid made a small face and then smiled.
"You can still be my prince though!" She shook her head, "after all, you're teaching me sword fighting and all too! You're like a Knight-Prince! Like super amazing and awesome class! Royal blood!" Nereid bowed and then laughed again.
She did want to hug again but respected that doing so meant smothering the other girl. She looked down at her chest and then frowned.
"I mean....I don't know. I think we're doing okay relationship wooing stuff right? I mean we've got one heart each, so we just gotta keep going?"
Her face fell though, "Does this mean I can only see when you are powered up too then?"

Laughing a little herself, Orcus returned the bow, giving it a proper Courtly flourish before reaching out and tangle her fingers in Nereid's hair and smile reassuringly up into the other's downcast face.
"For now. But not forever. Just be patient with me a little longer while I figure out if I can help my cousin escape the Negaverse. Then I can focus on me. And us."

"Okay!" The girl brightened immediately, "I'll just wait it out till then!"
Her breath sucked in and she relaxed, "I'll be waiting you know? And if you need anything, please let me help too okay?"

"I am notoriously stubborn and prideful. Also, the thought of you getting hurt trying to help me makes my stomach churn," Orcus replied carefully. "But for you, I will do my best to ask for help when I need it."
This time, the hug originated from Orcus as she threw her arms around the other girl and squeezed tight.
Pixie Nyxie And I believe that's a reg down for you, m'dear!
