Name: Grithmya, Grim Race: Pure Sluagh, or Sluagh/Goblin hybrid. Zodiac Sign: The Spear. Academy House or University: Community College Student (Police Training). Gender: Andro, they/them/theirs/themself pronouns. Starting Stage: Senior. Base: I base, with optional breasts added. They're muscular, no matter what, and uuusually afab, but in a world without trans/enbyphobia, they likely wouldn't bother to remove them. Brief Description of Appearance OR Customs Form:
Feel free to add some scarring. Clothing palette to match the left reference, please! Feel free to leave gold instead of silver if you prefer. I'm hoping their art will either be sleeveless for bare-armed goodness, or an alt available with an A shirt? If they're a hybrid, please please please give them sluagh ears! >v <

Profile: History: Born below to a very openminded Sluagh mother, Grithmya was a quiet individual, and often overlooked. Sweet, hardworking, and eager to please, they were the sort of child who left a good impression if they left one at all. Nevertheless, they were aggressively tomboyish - insisting on wearing short hair and stalwartly refusing the dresses their mother tried to dress them in, something many took in stride as childish fancy, but that made them feel uncomfortable – or, on bad days even outright wrong – every time they were called 'her' or 'she'.
Their understanding of self and gender identity didn't solidify until schooling, when strangers began addressing them as they, leading to a much easier and more comfortable relationship with their mother, who had simply taken the reticence to wear pretty clothes as a sort of rebellion until then. Other things began to cement themselves, too, during that formative period– the distrust of elves their mother had tried to shelter them from, for one, came to a peak at the hands of a few, rather remarkably cruel, individuals. {Many Sluagh themselves were no better, quick to call them and their mother blood traitors for diluting the race with other blood.}
They grew up fighting. Fighting the elves {and sluagh} that took objection to their existence, fighting the people who got in their way, and most of all, fighting anyone and everyone who gave anyone else a hard time when they were around, they gained a well-deserved reputation for someone out for a scrap. After a year's break from the academy, they enrolled for police training, and graduated with honors, though their temper was never really tempered. They channel their anger into their schoolwork. People are a threat to one another, killing and hurting others right now. They can relate to that.
Things will get more complicated for the sluagh {hybrid} when they meet Rebaeth, the antithesis of everything that they're fighting for. Someone so obviously in a place of comfort, purity, and power shouldn't, in their mind, be trusted with responsibility over others when he can so clearly use it to lord over others... but they'll have an undeniable attraction to the grizzled teacher, and have to struggle with concerns of favouritism from the elf... slanted in their favour.
Personality: Mistrusting, bitter, and lethal, Gr'mya's emotional spectrum ranges from apathetic to venomous. They have a blunt, sometimes crude, manner of speaking, and are wont to be defensive.
Despite their mother's best intentions, they're far more physically-oriented and prone to lash out than a proper sluagh child should be raised, something that they are keenly aware of, and that only makes them feel further alienated. They strongly feel that their race has discounted them and their worth because of that– the fact that they're a living embodiment against the traditional Sluagh ideals. They have no emotional connection to the Sluagh back in Elysium, let alone the cherubs that hail from there directly.
The cherubs, however, aren't really the enemy either, as there's a difference between the laws and the leadership instated that forced such stringent blood purity laws on their peoples, and the people that just so happen to live there. They have very low expectations of those in power, and are not expecting to find any strong leadership that they ever particularly identify with.
Strengths: Independent, Focused, Champion of the Weak. Likes: Flitters, Animals in General. Hobbies: Exercise, physical training, sparring. Quirks: Although wellspoken, they tend to truncate sentences unless bawling someone out. Dislikes: Crowds, Open Spaces, Squeamishness. Faults: Bitter, Misanthropic, Vengeful.

RP Prompt:Your Nightmare has just woken up on a day where they have class. What is their morning ritual? How do they get ready?
Grim woke up early. They always had– their mother had still been basically nocturnal, and it was habit for the young daydream to be up before the sun. They stared at their ceiling, carefully staring until their eyes began to focus on the patterns the spray-spackle ceiling revealed. After a moment to mentally remind themself of the date, they took a deep, measured breath.
"Today is going to be a good day."
They took couple moments to reflect upon this statement, before continuing. "My first class is at eight o'clock sharp." Another deep, even breath. "We're going to be discussing the political ramifications of new races to open their borders and allow exchanges." Their gen-ed classes weren't exactly the most enthralling, and Grim wasn't exactly a politics fan. Still... "I've got time for a full workout, then breakfast." They slowly sat up, feeling their vertebrae slide into place, until they were sitting up straight.
They turned, putting their feet on the floor, and stood, walking over to their closet, moving to strip out of their pyjamas, and pulling on a tight shirt and set of spandex pants. They stepped into their workout shoes, starting to tug on their laces, then moved to start putting on their weights.
Only after they finished their workout would they go back to their room, grab their shower supplies, and get properly dressed for the day. Once they were dressed, it would be a simple matter of grabbing their supplies, popping into the cafeteria for breakfast, and making their way to classes for the day.
But for now, Grim had themself, their weights, and an empty, predawn track.
"Today is going to be a good day."
They laced their fingers together, raised them above their head, and stretched out, and started sprinting.

critique incoming!
Appearance: I'm going to need you to decide whether Grithmya is a pure Sluagh, or a Sluagh/Goblin hybrid, as this affects both lore and appearance.
Appearance: If Grithmya is going to be a hybrid, you need to clearly state which traits you want. I saw you state which ears you want, which is great! But do you want a Goblin tail? Fangs? Sluagh arms? What does Grithmya look from the waist-down, especially clothing-wise? Will you want them wearing pants? Shoes?
Backstory: As I mentioned in your other quest, it's highly unlikely that any individual in Below would be forced into an identity they are uncomfortable with. It is just not condoned or present in their culture, except in very specific scenarios. You state that their mother is openminded enough to move to Below, so why is she not openminded about gender? Especially when gender identity is also a nonissue in Sluagh culture. Even strangers are very accepting and open when it comes to pronoun corrections, let alone those a person is close to. Even Freshlings are taken very seriously when concerning their gender identity. Perhaps this could be altered so Grithmya was uncomfortable with speaking their feelings about their identity? Or is there a more detailed reason Grithmya's mother would be so adamant that they present as femme? I'm going to need some real reasoning to accept this particular scenario with lore as we have it. Please review our gender guide.
RP Prompt: Great!
