Class Activity
Civil Blood & Civil Hands

Opens: February 1st
Closes: February 28th

"Today," Professor Blythe said from his seat behind his desk, "we will be turning in our essays on Romeo and Jules. I know a lot of you read it when you were younger so I hope you really dived deep into the meat of the story for your analysis." He gestured lazily at the front corner of his desk indicating where you should start piling your essays. "That's all so once you place them on my desk, you can head out and enjoy the rest of this hour."

Rules
 1. Roll three (3) 100-sided dice (3d100). Pick the result that you think would best fit your student's skill level as a grade for their essay.
 2. If there is nothing higher than a 75, your student automatically gets a barely passing grade.
 3. Briefly write something pertaining to how your student feels about the story of Romeo and Juliet (Romeo and Jules in this case). It would be best if it somehow reflected the grade they got.
 4. No matter what your student has passed the class.

Please use this code for your entries:
Prompt Requirements for February 2019: Roll three six-sided die (3d100) and choose a grade from the results. Here you can get an idea of how the stories we know have been changed to fit in NMA's world.
Character - renamed, description

Jacal Usuries by Shakespeare
Quote:
(First and foremost this is simply a play, not based on history for NMA.)
 • Julius Caesar - Jacal Usuries, a Demon lord who helped expand the Demon empire. Later he was betrayed his fellow lords.
 • Marcus Junius Brutus - Brutus, a Demon liege who incited other lords to assassinate Jacal without letting their Sovereign know. They worried Jacal was planning to usurp their Sovereign and, eventually, become the leader of all Demons. At the death of Jacal, his land was shared among the lords that had killed him.
"The story is one that can be interrupted in several ways by current societies. It is not intended to insight unrest but to encourage people to speak up about injustices even if they come from leaders. But words are preferred over daggers to the back." The professor laughed at his own joke and turned back to the board to continue writing the notes his class should be making.

The Great Gatsby by Effess
Quote:
 • Nick Carraway - Nick, a demon (and so is the rest of the named characters unless listed)
 • Jay Gatsby - Gatsby, a Baphomet
 • Myrtle Wilson - Wilson, an Imp
"I suppose you could say this story is about wanting what you don't have and that you should stay content with what you do... It's hard to say, really, what we're meant to take-away from this but isn't it a brilliant story?"

Romeo and Jules by Shakespeare
Quote:
 • everyone in this play is a Demon
 • Juliet - Jules, a Demon prefering they/them pronouns
"Ah, young love... can be incredibly stupid. Please don't see this as something to aspire to."
