Sutai didn't really want to. She reeeeaaaally didn't want to. But Delphi was counting on her! Delphi assured the Squire that everything would be fine. She needed to eventually climb that mountain, and Mister Alphubel would likely be accompanying them. However, this particular run to the Wonder was strictly for practice, she told herself. No pressure. No need to get all the way to the top this time. Not this time. Right? With a whine, Anandi Rai powered up behind an old, abandoned office building in near a section of the city familiar to them both - near where they first met. The coffee shop was a simple block or two away. Just before she assumed her Squire form, Sutai sent a text to Winterlynn with her location. She kept, in a small backpack she brought with her, a heavy coat and fleece pants in the vain hope she could keep cozy while on the shivering star. Miss Winterlynn! I think I'm ready to return to Polaris. Could you please meet me about a block south of the coffee shop? Please please? Maybe I should have brought a thermos for some coffee to take with us... :C

Having received the text message Winterlynn had left her home and hurried for the meeting spot, needing to catch a cab in order to do so. Once she paid she hurried herself toward a building, at least until the cab pulled away from the curb. Stepping away from the stores entrance she ducked between the store and whatever was next to it.
Powering up, crouched behind a dumpster, she stood up and picked up the small bag she had with her. She had grabbed some rope, which she had bought, for climbing and there was also bottles of water to drink as well. She had been tempted to bring other things, something light to eat, but there hadn't been time. She also wasn't even sure they'd be able to find a place to eat if the other knights wonder was up a mountain.
She could claim there had to be something at the top but she also had no proof of such, it was just a guess really.
While she let her mind wander, wondering what the others wonder could possibly have at it's peek, she found her way toward the other squire. Stopping as her eyes landed on the other, silencing her thoughts, she smiled at the sight. "Sutai."

WhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiineSutai looked up and tried to hide her intense anxiety over Wonder-travel from the more experience Squire. Her cheeks were red and puffed, hands balled into small fists and she flailed a little bit. "Miss Delphi, I... I'll try my beeeest." With a huff, the Squire bent over and let out another whine for good measure. "I met another Page of Polaris, his name is Mister Alphubel, and he said he might like to join us on the mountain so I thought... maybe this could be a practice run? I've never climbed a mountain before and I don't want to disappoint you or Mister Alphubel so... maybe... maybe we can go just a little way up and see how bad the weather is and prepare for that!" Yes, that sounded like a good idea. Maybe. Sutai smiled at her superior and asked if she was ready to depart. Once the younger girl got the affirmative, she concentrated on their home star and the world around them shifted, melting into the snow and ice that made Delphi's coat look so cozy. Sutai squeaked and quickly pulled the pants and coat from her backpack. "It's so COOOOLD~!!"

"You'll do fine, don't worry Sutai." The other would be fine, she was sure of it. "I'll make sure you're ok." She'd keep the younger safe. It sort of felt like a responsibility for her to want to keep the other safe, just as she wanted to keep Ciel safe. Ciel she just wanted to take on as a younger sister of sorts - she really did. She was much younger and just...tiny!
"We could of course. I can bring him to my wonder as well. I'd like to meet another Polaris knight." Without Polaris herself around Delphi was trying to find them and gather them up...slowly but she wanted to find them. Maybe when Polaris returned they'd know each other well - all the knights of Polaris...and they could greet their princess together. She thought they should work together to restore their wonders and their homeworld since it had been and was theirs. If they worked together...who knows what they could restore and manage?
That was for another day though, something to work towards slowly. Tonight was helping Sutai.
"We can do that of course. I've never climbed a mountain either. But we'll manage it." Giving the confirmation that she was ready she took hold of the younger, so she wasn't left behind, and let the younger do her thing - bring them to Sutai.
Stepping back, quickly, to let the other get dressed she shook her head. "Always so cold here...I don't think we get any warm months...i've never seen any in the time I've come here." But she didn't know how years worked here or time in general so maybe they did...it just wasn't due yet?
Now though she took the time to look around, wanting to see what they were both up against...and just what Sutai had to offer, the wonder not the squire.

Sutai was quickly scrambling to clothe herself in heavy winter wear, pulling her windbreaker pants over her boots and tucking it up under her tutu. She looked ridiculous. Huge, cumbersome heavy coat with hood, a tutu protruding in the middle, and then mismatched gray windbreaker pants. Sutai thankfully didn’t forget gloves, which were much bigger than her hands. With the hood cinched, the Squire’s whine was muffled, but still audible. With a loud sigh and dramatic flailing, Sutai turned away from Delphi to face the mountain she was so afraid of. Indeed, the pair had landed directly at the base of the mountain with an enormous stone staircase awaiting their ascent. Chilled wind howled through their hair and clothing, sending Sutai stumbling to the right a few paces. The staircase rose high up the mountain, disappearing into the fog that draped the upper half. Neither was able to see the snow covered peak from where they stood. Sutai turned back to Delphi and whined again. “I didn’t know it would be so windy, Miss Delphi…” came the muffled voice. “...but, this is my mountain, I suppose… I wonder why I have a tutu then, it doesn’t seem very fitting for the weather!” That fact never really bothered Sutai since… she never really thought about it any further. Previous to Delphi, she’d only visited Polaris one time, with the Princess. The then-Page spent so much time simply attached to the Princess that she didn’t notice the cold. One more whine for good measure, and Sutai set foot upon the first step of the staircase. Looking up, the wind raged quite forcibly against them. What was so great about a crummy old snowy mountain, anyway? With a huff, the Squire started to climb very slowly. On either side of the staircase was a raised, carved edge, a sort of ankle-high railing filled with depictions of eight-pointed stars. The stone was a cool slate color though very, very solid to the touch. It didn’t seem as though this type of stone could be easily carved without specialized tool, and there were no hairline cracks or fissures Sutai could see. On either side of the railing sat a great many snowy stones in various sizes, all of a different composition than the staircase. Perhaps the stone they walked on was imported from elsewhere on the star?

Thankfully she was prepared for the cold that Polaris had to offer, unlike her companion. She had to wonder why such an outfit when the planet the knight belonged to was this cold. It was, in her opinion, a bit unfair. She she also wish uniforms could alter themselves for the seasons and weather...she really did want a lot but magic was afoot here..so why not wish or want for a lot? It would certainly make patrolling in the summer easier for herself and in the winter it would be easier for others. But alas...such was not for them and Sutai had to suffer and dress up in puffy clothing that would limit her movement.
"I don't know either. I can figure mine suits the fact I may have once had to run between buildings and deal with the cold...as well as being inside. But your wonder is up here - on a mountain. You should have much warmer clothing." If this were some ice skating rink or something she'd have understood, and almost wondered if that was what was above them somewhere, but she doubted that was the true wonder of Sutai.
Moving to climb behind the other, incase Sutai started to fall she could catch her, Delphi was glad for the tred on the bottom of her boots. Moving with care she kept one hand braced to the mountain wall at her right side. "Slowly...the wind is strong." She was glad her own wonder was down below - on the ground. It wasn't directly below but that didn't matter...it was still on the ground! But she would climb and she would help Sutai find out just what her wonder was, and overcome whatever fears she had about this climb.

Sutai's whine was thankfully muffled by the cinched hood of her snow jacket. She was relatively comfortable thanks to the winter clothing, all things considered, but the jacket wasn't long or wide enough to overlap her tutu in an appreciable way. Delphi was right - her outfit certainly didn't seem to fit a mountain. Something was wrong. Maybe this mountain wasn't her Wonder after all? That would be terrible! Another great gust of icy wind nearly knocked her right off the staircase if it weren't for Delphi having a hand at her back. With a sigh of relief, Sutai profusely thanked her superior with hugs and happy noises still muffled by the hood. The plucky Squire had a strange feeling on this staircase though... that they were only one-third of the way up the ascent. At this junction, the staircase widened considerably into what appeared to be a seating area. It was a figure 8 in shape with the staircase continuing opposite the two Squires, and two stone obelisks, one on either side of them. Sutai seemed confused. All around the obelisks were large, pale stones, about knee height on Sutai. They were untouched, it seemed, and unlike the stones that made up the staircase. They each had a dusting of snow upon them from the wind and weather, resting against a slate-colored obelisk. The obelisks themselves were roughly nine feet tall and three feet in diameter, rectangular in shape with a pyramid atop it. Sutai walked up to one of these obelisks, quite puzzled, and looked back at Delphi.

Pulling her own hood up the squire kept right behind the other, wanting to keep close incase she was needed by the other. Watching the others back, intent to catch any slip just as it happened, she kept her focus as she climbed the stairs behind the other. She wondered, for a moment, if water pipers for heated water might run under these stairs as it did the cobblestones of her wonders square. It would certainly make walking up these narrow stairs a bit safer...and easier.
Pressing her hand to the others back, the action rather automatic and quick, as the wind blew hard at them. She stood pressed forward into the other to keep Sutai upright and keep her from falling, it also helped her brace herself in a sense as she was able to press herself forward and to something...to rebalance herself.
When the wind passed, and the other was done thanking her, she pressed the other to continue climbing. "If we get to some place to stop we can take a break...get out of the wind." Be safe...at least for a while, hopefully. The idea of a break, getting out of the wind, was pleasing to her as it would provide them time to sit and find their strength again - to regroup.
When they did reach an odd looking area there was a flash in her mind...a memory. She remembered the memory she had of an ancestor of hers...and the rock he'd been placing down...right over the burial site of a previous one. Carved with some words, words of Polaris, she knew she needed to do the same. The need was there, had been since then, but where to find such a large rock...or any rock had escaped her till now. Staring at them she turned her attention to the other slowly.
"Sutai....these rocks...I need one." Maybe not the nicest way of saying it but perhaps that almost hesitant, questioning, and unsure tone of voice would help? "For my wonder...I-I need to do something..."

The Squire seemed quite enamored by the obelisks. Each side was carved with symbols she did not understand, but Sutai found them interesting nonetheless. She circled the obelisk to Delphi’s left slowly, pondering. The large, pale stones formed a circle around the base of the obelisk, nestled in powdery snow. They must not have been moved for a very long time, or the snow constantly streaming down upon them covered up whatever tracks had lead the stones to their final resting place. The wind was still rough even on this small plateau and if it weren’t for the windbreaker clothing Sutai was wearing, she was certain she would be a popsicle by now. Deep within her, she had the distinct feeling the pair of Squires wasn’t even halfway up the mountain - that there was still quite a bit of staircase left to climb. Delphi’s request shook the younger Squire from her thoughts and she turned around to face her superior, tilting her head in confusion. “You need a rock, Miss Delphi?” she asked, the wind howling as she spoke. Sutai had to repeat herself, louder this time, to be heard over the gusts. “I’m not sure we can move them but… I will try!” Indeed, while magical powers gave them physical strength above and beyond what they might have normally, Sutai doubted her ability to carry a boulder down such a long staircase without slipping and being crushed. However, she was a problem-solver, at least in her civilian job, and Delphi needed her help. Since the older Squire was kind enough to accompany the younger on such an arduous journey, Sutai would do everything she could do move this boulder. The plucky Squire climbed atop the boulder and pressed herself against the obelisk, seeking to gain some leverage by pushing against the rocks with her feet, using the obelisk as an anchor. The boulder budged slightly, slowly, aided by the cushion of dry snow on the ground. “Miss Delphi… I might need your help! If we can push this rock from this tower-thing, then maybe we can push it down the stairs!”

"Do you think this could be a religious place? Or something of the sort?" She asked looking over things slowly, though he hadn't moved from the free stones. They were big, big enough she thought. They were big enough for what she needed to do...but now if she could get one how to get it down?
Nodding her head, almost absently, she directed her gaze to Sutai. "Yeah....my wonder...I got memories the last time I was there." She started to explain. Moving closer to the other. "The previous knight, one of them anyway, was placing a stone by the fountain...it was over a stone that was similar but buried by them. They had carved something into stone. The old stone is there...one they placed or another knight - the last Delphi. It just feels like I need to replace it...to leave my own and busy the last one." It felt like a need...an urge - instinct? It was right...it just wasn't' right, it was off, that her wonder didn't have that yet. That the old one still remained but the wonder was hers now.
She had learned, since becoming a knight, not to question certain things - because magic. This was one of those things she wouldn't question - she would do.
"I brought rope...we could try and lower it together?" She offered while wrapping her arms about the other in silent thanks for the permission for the stone and the others offer to help in this endeavor. After this...she'd need to get it to her wonder - after they climbed further up sutai. Once at her wonder she would need to bring tools for carving...so she would have to start the work another time, next time, and hope instinct would drive her on with what she had to carve into the stone's face.
Nodding she decided to do something slightly different and went to get the rope from her bag and wrap it a few times around the stone before tying it off and moved to plant her feet in front of it. With the other pushing she started to pull. Digging her heels in and using the tread covered heels as leverage to help her keep her balance, so she didn't fall into her a**, as she yanked and pulled on it.

Between each push with her feet against the stone, Sutai rested and tried to answer her superior's thoughts. "Ah... I haven't gotten any memories yet... I don't think." She found it odd, that she was on the mountain now, but had no memories of it? Was that normal? Maybe she wasn't in the right portion of the mountain. Either way, the pair got what they came for - Sutai received some experience and could gauge what to expect when bringing Alphubel along for the ride, and Delphi received a... rock. With one last combined effort, pushing and pulling, the large rock shrugged itself free of its resting position, sliding with some effort across the dried, powdery snow. Sutai squeaked and plopped onto the ground without injury at the sudden removal of the rock she was standing on. She didn't expect it to move so quickly. Dusting herself off, she made to push the stone while Delphi pushed. "It's probably too heavy to lower with rope but... we could always push it down the stairs? Let gravity do some of the work? I'm not sure how far your buildings are from here..." Sutai gave another great push and found it was more difficult to move. Perhaps 'walking' the stone would work better? "Miss Delphi, how about you push this side, then I push my side... like a big piece of furniture! Then maybe it can slide right down the stairs..." She had a feeling the stairs were an unusual sort of stone, the type that would not easily be damaged. This was hard work! "I sure hope your buildings are close by, Miss Delphi. We're going to get this rock where you need it, don't you worry! I promise!"

"I got no memories till then and I've had none since." She answered honestly. She wouldn't mind more memories, she really wouldn't, but this one was important and maybe with it she would unlock the rest? She just hoped it wouldn't be like in some movies where the memories just hit all at once. A trickle would be nice or even just flashes from time to time.
Landing on her a** as the stone moved, coming out of it's snug fit, she stared for a moment at it. Now how to get it down? COuld she lower or from it from here. Lowering it, with it's weight, didn't seem like a plausible idea....so maybe role it, somehow, down the steps? She wondered if she could teleport them from here to her wonder and bring the rock with them....
"I wonder if I couldn't save us the trip and teleport us both to my wonder from here...." She said slowly while looking from the rock to Sutai and back again as if considering it - and she was. Maybe...just maybe she could focus on right where she wanted to teleport to at her wonder and bring them even closer...so they wouldn't need to worry about moving it too much? It wasn't something she'd ever tried but she wondered if it was possible.
"We should see more of your wonder also Sutai...we came here for that." She felt bad for diverting their course of action for the day, they had come here for Sutai, and wanted to try and salvage that even if she did want to get this large rock to her own wonder.

Sutai flopped over the stone once most of the work had been done, wheezing with the physical exertion. Despite their superior abilities when powered up, moving boulders was still hard work. "...waaahhh, Miss Delphi, this stone is so heavy..." Delphi's idea about teleporting them from here, straight to Delphi's own Wonder, was brilliant. Sutai perked up immediately at the suggestion. "That's a great idea, Miss Delphi! If you could do that, it would save us an awful lot of work... and it would probably be safer, yes indeed. Whew." The Squire flopped back over the boulder for a rest. They wouldn't risk throwing out their backs trying to move it further from the bottom of the staircase, if the boulder even made it that far once they pushed it over the edge. Who knew how far Delphi's Wonder was from their present location? Sutai waved at her superior tiredly, dismissive of Delphi's comment. "I... I think I've seen enough of my Wonder for one day, Miss Delphi, and besides..." Another wheeze. "...I promised Mister Alphubel that he could come with us. He's never been to Polaris so having three of us would be even safer than two..." While she did in fact make a promise she didn't wish to break, Sutai dearly hoped Delphi didn't think she was being a wimp or a flake. "...is that okay with you, Miss Delphi?"

Nodding to the other squire she pressed herself down on top of Sutai, keeping the other pinned between her own body and the large stone. "Ok, lets see if this works." Wrapping her arms about Sutai and as much of the stone as she could the squire of Delphi focused on where she wanted to go. Not just her wonder but to the fountain - she needed the fountain. Not in the fountain but next to it, - in front of it...right in front of it.
"We'll come back together next time, if I can join you and Alphubel." She had no idea if the Squire could bring two people to her wonder but she did want to come with Sutai, to help her. She would continue to help the other as much as she could, with discovering her wonder and whatever else she needed, or wanted, to do.
Refocusing, as she'd broken concentration, she had to focus again. Nodding her head against the other she let her pale eyes drop closed so she could focus on just where she wanted to be. She wanted to get them to her wonder...and she didn't realize but they did vanish from the others wonder...and arrived on the warmed cobblestones of her own wonder.
The sound of water bubbling up, and falling, filled her ears and lifting her head and spied that she was right there...right where she wanted to be. The rock she had no was pressed into the front of the old rock...the one she would be replacing. it's old marks so dull they were barely visible on the rocks surface.
"This is what I want to replace..." She said nodding her head toward the old, ancient, carved upon rock. Standing, slowly, she took a moment to stretch and then offered a hand out to the other to help Sutai up.

Sutai squeaked the moment she became a Squire Sandwich, but was so relieved to find that they'd arrived at the familiar warmed fountain of Delphi's Wonder. As soon as the other Squire stood up, Sutai dashed for the fountain and attached herself to it for a few moments. The water within the pipes was warm, and for the first time since arriving on the snowy star, Sutai could finally feel her fingers. "Ahhh this is so much better than that super cold, super windy staircase! Ugh Miss Delphi, it's so nice to be on warmed ground again!" Ungluing herself from the fountain, the Squire stood to brush off some of the powdered snow that had attached itself to her heavy coat. She went to inspect the important stone Delphi spoke of - the entire reason they needed the stone from the mountain in the first place. She leaned over the old stone, the one that needed replacing, curious. "Ah, so this one... it has very old carvings in it! I see, I see! Should we move this one, Miss Delphi? Then we can put the new stone in its place?"
