 Illusion smiled brightly lunch time yay and after lunch recess taking classes were necessary, but lunch and recess were his favorite things of the day. Playing being happy was so Illusion's thing, he liked seeing others happy he wanted to do that using optical illusions rather than real magic. Then again it would have been neat if Illusion had the natural ability to float and fade. As a hybrid Illusion didn't really have control of those things, he didn't float very well and if he faded it normally meant it was super depressed, which almost never happened. Right now he fluffed his wings a little and went to go get some mac and cheese, fruit, and salad for his lunch. Illusion didn't really like meat so he tended to avoid it.

 Lunch time! Eva smiled as she skipped into the cafeteria. While she certainly enjoyed learning things and everything else that class had to offer, a break was always well received and, well, school always seemed to work up an appetite. She looked around at the food that she had to pick from, trying to decide what to eat. It was hard to pick- everything looked so tasty! She hummed to herself before picking the mac and cheese, a hot dog, and some fruit. Thoroughly satisfied with her decision, she walked over to a table a took a seat. No one else was at the table with her, but maybe someone would sit with her and she could make a new friend.

Illusion had his tray and he was looking for a spot to sit in when he saw someone sitting alone, he went up to their table and said. "Hi I'm Illusion. I was wondering if you would mind if I sat with you for lunch??" Illusion smiled brightly and fluffed his wings a little again. As he waited for the person sitting at the table to welcome him or send him away. The tendrils on his ears flared a little but not much. Illusion was normally very confident in everything he decided to do, he wouldn't cry if he was told no requesting an invitation.

Eva glanced up from her lunch at the sound of another's voice. It was a pleasant surprise to see the hybrid standing next to her table. He seemed friendly. "Oh! Yeah. Of course you can sit here." Eva replied, a large friendly smile on her face. She had been really hoping to meet new people, so she certainly wasn't going to turn him down. Maybe she could make a new friend! She swung her feet under her chair as she took a bite out of a piece of fruit while she waited for him to take his seat. "My name's Eva." Introductions were always a good way to start a friendship, right?

Illusion smiled brightly he was happy that the other freshling was kind and welcoming, he would have been sad if they had rejected him. "Nice to meet you, Eva." Illusion said warmly. Then he said down at the table to eat his lunch. "So what do you like to do Eva?" He asked curiously. "I like doing pretend magic." Illusion said cheerfully. Pulling a flower out of his sleeve offering it to Eva. It was like his number one favorite trick to make his moms and sister smile. He loved making others smile it was what made his day shiny and bright.

"It's nice to meet you too." Eva replied, returning his bright, cheery tone in kind. "Pretend magic? Oh!" She giggled in surprise as he produced the flower from his sleeve. She took it as he offered it, smiling down at the small bloom. "Me? I like doing all sorts of things really. Nothing cool like this though." She twirled the flower between her fingertips. It was pretty neat. "I like reading and playing with familiars and stuff like that." She said with a small smile, feeling a little self conscious about it. She'd find what she was good at someday, right?

Illusion smiled at Eva they were really nice and he liked talking to them, Illusion shook his head "Nah my hobby isn't cooler than your hobbies, reading and playing with familiars are great too." He said warmly. Illusion sat down across from Eva, he had done his trick and they had talked a bit. He wasn't sure what to say next, then he bit his lip. And hummed a bit "So.." Illusion stumbled over his words. "Would you like to see another trick I can show you some card tricks." Illusion pulled out his card deck, he fell back on his magic tricks when he wasn't sure what else to do or say.

Eva smiled and nodded politely at his words- even though she wasn't too sure about that herself. Doing card tricks and stuff sounded a million times more cool than her own hobbies. Still, it wouldn't do any good to protest about it. Maybe she just needed to look into getting some more hobbies and see if anything felt right. She'd have to think about that later. "I would love to see another trick!" Eva said with a delighted smile on her face. He seemed to be really good at these. "Do you know a lot of different tricks? Were they hard to learn?" She asked as she tucked the flower from his last trick behind her ear. Once she had finished speaking, she shoveled a few bites of food into her mouth- gotta finish eating before lunch was over after all.

Illusion smiled he really enjoyed making Eva happy they reminded him of his family and he loved his family. He thought a minute and then said "Well I knew some tricks I wouldn't say I know everything, but I know a bunch of tricks. Some are really easy and I can teach you, others take a lot of practice, and take longer to learn how to do." Illusion started a simple card trick that was a matter of distracting the other person and putting the card where he needed it to be. In this case putting the card in Eva's pocket. "Now pick a card any card." He said cheerfully.

"Oh, I see. Well, I would certainly be interested in learning anything you would be willing to teach me." Eva said with a nod. Even if she ended up not being very good at it, that would be fine. Learning something new was always fun and she didn't think she would ever turn down an opportunity to pick up a new skill. Besides, Illusion seemed like he would make a nice friend. Maybe he would even like to meet her familiars sometime. "Huumm, let's see..." She said as she reached out and carefully picked a card out from his deck.
