Physical Description: Dorianus is a very tall and lanky young man. He stands at six foot eight inches tall with very long legs. He is muscular, even though he doesn't look it, most of his muscle is in his legs and upper chest. His eyes are a light grey color and his hair is a dark black and long, normally worn down or in a ponytail.
Personality:
+Logical: Dorianus is a very logical and scientific mind. He does not believe, or like to believe, in anything that cannot be proven. He has studied science, especially anatomy, since middle school and he tries to utilize it more in his daily life. Because of this he is level headed and doesn’t act upon impulse or instinct. He really isn’t the kind to jump before he looks, he prefers to know just what he is going to get into and the best course of action that will serve him to get what he wants.
+Passionate: A very passionate being when it comes to the things he is interested in. He is passionate about learning and gaining knowledge as well as any action that can help him with that. He has been known to start talking nonstop if something he cares about comes up in conversation and he enjoys spreading his knowledge whether people want to listen or not.
+Confident: Dorianus is fully confident of all of his abilities. He doesn't believe that there is something he cannot do. If he sets his mind to something he will be able to finish it with great results. Some could say that he is overconfident by Dorianus actually tried to get people to try their hardest and be confident in their own abilities, when he is feeling nice that is.
-Stuck-Up: Dorianus does not believe that there is anyone who knows more than he does, he also doesn’t believe that there is anyone who is better than him. Whether this is earned or just a thought that is in his own head is unknown. He will actually look down on people who make mistakes or ask stupid questions, giving them a look out of the corner of his eyes before rolling them.
-Distant: Dorianus was never very good at connecting with other people. He doesn’t understand why people need to be around one another all the time and he really doesn’t understand why some people care about others so much. He has always been on the outside looking in to the groups all throughout his school years.
-Cynical: With a mind set ablaze with facts and figures, as much as it can be, Dorianus is a very cynical young man. He doesn't focus on the brightside, because the facts show that it rarely comes to fruition. Instead, he keeps his spirits down in a very pessimistic way. You can say, in a way, he is a bit morbid in his views upon life, and he never seems happy go lucky.

History:
Born in Fort Hold to a family of Healer's, Doriaus was on a fast track into the healer craft. He spent his days and nights, when he was old enough, following his grandfather, who was a surgical healer, around. It was at this young age that he found he had a keen interest in his grandfather's craft more then his mother or father's.
At the age of eight, Dorianus became an apprentice underneath his grandfather, determined to learn the craft he loved the most. For his part, his grandfather was overjoyed that his grandson was so interested in a craft that was difficult to learn and would take a lot of time and effort, and he was equally pleased that Dorianus threw himself into his studies so eagerly. He worked hard and studied, keeping his nose to the grindstone.
Before he could walk the tables at the age of seventeen, his father was exiled. His father had always been a sore on society, even though he was a healer, he liked to drink, which lead to him getting into fights all the time. It was during one of these drunken fights that his father killed another man, one that had a connection to the Lord Holder. It would have been punished no matter who he killed, but because of the connection, the Lord Holder didn't hesitate to exile the man.
This did not effect Dorianus as much as many people thought it would. The young man had grown colder and more closed off over the years as he poured more work into his studies. His grandfather offered for him to postpone his walk across the Tables, but Dorianus persisted and passed.
He was only a week as a journey man before he was searched by a dragon. As thread hadn't fallen yet, Dorianus did not wish to go to the Weyr at first, but his grandfather convinced him that they could use the help there. It was reluctantly that Dorianus came to High Reaches as a Candidate and it was while he was there that Thread Fell.
Wondering if, perhaps, his grandfather had had an inkling about what was going to happen, Dorianus now puts himself forward into his studies as a Candidate and he plans on staying at the Weyr as a Surgical Healer even if he does not Impress as they will need all the healers they can get with Thread falling again.
He keeps in touch with his grandfather still, he is the only family he is close to.
Other: Even though he is Asexual, he isn't Aromantic. He prefers women for this. If he Impresses, he will probably find a romantic partner(s) who he can be with during a flight.
