It was an early night for a change, and Hitch was ready for it. Super ready for it. He'd gotten some bourbon, he'd gotten stuff to cook with, he'd even kind of splurged and gotten some flowers because hey! Date night with his boyfri - fiance, and tonight he was determined not to talk the logistics of the wedding. He was going to romance the ******** out of Rhys and they were going to have a great date night and it was going to be awesome.
"Baaaabeeee?" he called as he poked his head in the door, stepping in and kicking his work boots off clumsily before he meandered inside, a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth and a big smile on his face. "You up?" He hoped so; he loved and hated waking Rhys up.

Rhys was not asleep - for once - when Hitch came home. Currently, he was curled up on the mattress that still served as their bed, a heap of new blankets - courtesy of Fritz - dumped around him like a pile of softness. A circle of pillows were all on the outside of the blankets, giving the impression of a very lopsided, very comfortable nest.
Rhys himself was snuggled in the midst of it, book in hand. He lifted his head as the door banged open, however, because Hitch was not supposed to be home for at least another hour, usually early, Rhys's eyes flickering to his fiance, and then to the bottle in his hand.
"Logan?" he said, closing the book, but he didn't get up, because he know Hitch would come over.
"What are you doing home? Is everything all right?"
