Haumea was hunting. He'd caught the veriest edge of an Order aligned aura and was following it slowly. Part of him hoped it would be little Elvira. He owed her for his knee. Not to mention that he hadn't given up on the idea of bringing her before Laurelite and allowing her to bring the child over.
Though, if it wasn't Elvira, it might still be someone worth fighting. With every person belonging to the White Moon that he fought, Haumea felt he earned a tiny measure of approval from Metallia. For Her, he would fight anyone and anything.
Shivering slightly in the cool, nighttime air, Haumea shook his head and dragged his wandering mind back to heel. It was time to close in on his prey and... introduce himself.

Ever part of him felt electric, as it tended to whenever he let himself reside in the skin that felt more natural to him than it should. Being Tristan was hard, most days, and being Midgard wasn't ideal, but at least he remembered a powered life.
Most nights proved uneventful, which he was grateful for, but it didn't seem like that would be the same.
The crackle of chaos burned his senses, like the waft of smoke filling nostrils of a non-smoker. He had turned, once the aura could be felt, body tensing and hands flexing in preparation. "Qui est là?"

Well. If the foreign words coming from his target hadn't been enough to warn him this wasn't who he sought, the masculine voice certainly would have driven that point home. A pity.
Still, Haumea thought wryly as he emerged from the darkness and stood facing the knight, he could only work with what he was given. Moving gracefully, he came closer to the knight and studied him carefully.
"I'm sorry," he said quietly, "would you mind repeating that in english? I'm afraid I don't understand."
Hands flexing into fists almost unconsciously, Haumea longed to throw himself at the knight and thrash him. But he also was just cautious enough to know that knights could be tricky at times.

The hair on the back of his neck stood on edge, nerves electric in his veins as the corrupt revealed himself. Immediately, he thought of Sailor Dia, who's cracks were hidden beneath waves of pink hair and a fuku that didn't expose her chest. Before him, the man had no such luck, but something told the squire that the corrupt wouldn't have wanted to hide the fissure in his chest.
"..." Midgard didn't reply, uncertain if it was wise to sort and shift through his french first, english-second.
He would feign ignorance, who knew if this man knew Tourmaline and would only use him for information he was reluctant to give. "Je ne sais pas ce que vous dites," he said instead, green eyes blinking.
Midgard didn't miss the flexing hands, his own twitching at his side as he tilted his head.

"Oh, how interesting," Haumea breathed as he stalked closer and closer. "You seem to understand me, could it be you simply can't make yourself understood?"
Smiling in a manner similar to the cat who ate the canary, Haumea nearly purred.
"Perhaps I should resort to a means of communication that will be better understood on both sides."
That said, Haumea lunged for the knight, fist swinging out, aiming for the soft tissue of the knight's gut.

Brow knit together when a frown formed on the tall man's mouth.
"Quoi?" He said, shaking his head like he had absolutely no idea what was being said to him. Though, he gave himself away when his eyes widened, foot sliding back just in time for -
His shield tonfas were in his hand immediately, a reflexive motion that had him slapping the two sides together until they formed a proper shield. Pink flared from it's edges when he unwittedly activated the magic, shield flaring.
"Je ne veux pas me battre," he said first, then slower. "I'm not here to fight."
He stepped back, breaking the shield apart with the magic dissipating as he eye his opponent. "Chaos will do you no favors."xxxdaisymilk magic for reference! When the shield is slotted together Midgard activates a pink and green shield that extends to a maximum of 10ft (5ft to either side of him). The shield is capable of absorbing magical attacks equal to his rank. Aggressive magic or physical attacks have a 20% of shattering the shield. (Roll 1d100/1-20 breaks or cracks the shield.)

Blinking a little in shock as the shield appeared, Haumea stumbled and stood watching the knight with wariness in his eyes. From behind the shield, he could hear the other talking and snorted in derision.
"You may not be here to fight," he replied. "But I'm afraid I am."
He watched as the shield broke and snorted again at the knight's words. Chaos would do him no favors, hrmm? Shows what he knows, the corrupt senshi thought. Moving carefully, Haumea began a circular stalk around the knight, trying to figure out the best way of coming at him. Perhaps aiming for the legs? He needed to know just how good that shield was.
"I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on that point," he said in a deceptively gentle voice. "Chaos has done a great deal for me, you see."
With that, he pulled up his own magic, deciding this would be easier if the knight came to him.
"Plumeria Sweet Breeze."
Nuxaz Able to perform once in battle and the effects last for approximately 90 seconds. When invoked, Haumea is wreathed in a ghostly haze of plumeria scent and can draw one person (perhaps 2 if only civilians) towards him. The haze in and of itself is harmless, however those under its spell cannot help themselves in the need to move closer to the source of the scent. As such, this attack is fairly useless unless a lure is needed.

Midgard had expected the rebuttal, judging from the looks of the man and how he held himself. He also wasn't foolish enough to believe that everyone was capable of seeing chaos as the parasite it was and, as he had no attachment or memory of the corrupted senshi, he was not compelled to try and talk him down from a fight.
With gritted teeth, green eyes narrowed.
Today would not be the day he got off Scot-free. Biting back the burning, it poisons you was difficult. Looking at the man he knew it would be fruitless.
"Fine," he hissed, grip tightening around his tonfas. He failed to activate the shield in time, the smell of the flowers drawing him forward despite his better judgement.

Watching the knight, Haumea tried to decide where the best place to strike might be. Those tonfas were a problem and the tall corrupt suspected that if the other generated that shield again, it would be difficult to get a good hit in.
Smiling once his own magic brought the knight reluctantly close, the senshi struck rapidly, dropping and swinging a leg out, wanting to knock the knight off of his feet. It would be easier, he reasoned, to nullify the tonfas if he could keep the knight too off kilter to use them.

Feet continued to lead him forward, the scent created by the corrupt too tantalizing to resist. Midgard wished he were a stronger-willed individual, but he was not...no matter how hard he tried. He should activate the shield, break the contact and pull before -
A leg was sweeping out his own from beneath him and Midgard's general reaction speed was too slow, one shield tonfa flying out of his hand and landing against the concrete somewhere to his right.
His back hit the ground and for a moment, the squire was too disoriented to react properly.

Yessssss. Haumea practically hissed his pleasure at seeing the knight on the ground. Even better was the knight losing one of those troublesome tonfas. Moving quickly, Haumea raised a foot, intending to bring it down square in the other man's gut while he was still dazed.

It was by sheer luck that Midgard managed to react properly and in time, throwing himself to the side when the foot slammed into the ground where he had been. Gloved fingers scraped at concrete as he forced himself to his feet.
His chest was heaving and his head dizzy but the squire couldn't think of anything outside of the fact that he wasn't in a position to really trying to keep fighting.
Not if the senshi had more magic up his skirt. So, instead, with a wave of guilt crashing over him, Midgard hightailed it out of the area.

Hissing as his heel impacted with hard concrete rather than tender belly meats, Haumea jerked his foot back into the air and did a short, hopping dance of pain for a moment. Furious, he glanced down to better aim, only to see that the knight had already managed to get up and run while he'd been distracted.
And while he could have easily teleported and caught up to the boy, his aching heel made him consider otherwise. Sure, he hadn't gotten to beat the boy bloody, but he'd given him a good scare. That was just as good, right? Sighing and trying to convince himself of his own logic, Haumea finally shook his head and poofed from the street. It was time to go home.
