Since his birth, Thornheart has been nothing but unkind and uncaring. While he tolerated his mother's attempts to sway his mood and his life in the "pathway that she wished", he refused to allow himself to be tamed. As soon as he was old enough, he broke from her -- only to take pity on occasions and make sure that she was still living.
However, today he was not stepping into the woods to see his mother, for something else was at his attention. Before his body had vanished into the thickets, he turned around -- There was a different scent that filled the air, an unknown and unfamiliar Soquili. To him, it was a possible threat, or perhaps... something different.
His thick kelpi tail swished angrily against the grass, nose high as he attempted to directly track the scent. With a rumble in his throat, he barked out in an attempt to intimidate the unfamiliar one that he smelled. "Step forward into Thornheart the Wicked's territory if you dare, Thornheart does not take lightly to intruders! Surrender to Thornheart, or you will perish!"

Ahh-- neat! It was a mare, and by what he could see through his crown of thorns... he caught glimpses of her body. His body relaxed juuust a hair, but he was still ever so alert of the invading Soquili. His ears flicked as they picked up what she was saying. She was smart sounding-- and he liked that! He did... it was different, and this entire situation was a bit of a particular change of pace for him.
"Unlike brainless beasts, Thornheart gives chance to surrender or flee. Thornheart take chase either way, most too slow against Thornheart!" He belted out laughter, swishing his tail again. "What brings a female like you to Thornheart's territory? Answer me...!" Of course, he wasn't the actual individual who claimed stake to this territory, but he was still big in his words, maybe he could get away with it. |

"Rmmph." He grunted in response, nodding once at the question. This female was willing to listen to him? Neat!! However, she asked a question, an that question was only of reminder that she had to keep on being that coldhearted beast that he was. He had to continuously assert himself in the only way he knew how, which was to be the equivalent of being a brat but much much more dangerous of one.
Despite him not actually moving his head, those eyes kept locked on her body,
watching her move and seeing where she would end up. When she stopped,
he finally decided to allow himself to answer.
"Passing through? You're a female, and females should not be moving about Thornheart's territory so easily. One female escape Thornheart," Who happened to be his mother, but it was mainly because he actually let her go.
He didn't care about her at all, she was weak and too kindhearted, she tried to sway him and make sure he was raised right buuut he scared her off in the end. Showing his fangs a bit, he continued to pepper himself up to be more of a thickheaded beast than anything. "Thornheart does not make mistakes like that anymore... unless you want to join Thornheart's side in Thornheart's territory-- but you have to prove to Thornheart you're worthy of being considered."
