The Fallen are an ancient race of humanoid demon creatures, who come from the Badlands. Believed by many to be mere legends, they have returned and have been seen by sworn members of the Elven Farstriders countless Outliers. The Fallen are thousands of years old, from the time preceding the Age of Heroes. Born of powerful and untested magic, they were created to protect the Fae from the Humans, who had waged war on them ever since they had arrived. However, the Fallen eventually broke free of the Fae's control and became the most feared creatures in Levadia, posing a threat to anything living. Eight thousand years before the Age of Dragons, the longest winter in history fell on the entire world which lasted a whole generation. In the darkness and cold of the Long Night, the Fallen first descended upon Sylvenor from the Badlands, killing all in their path and reanimating the dead to fight in their armies. Eventually, the legendary Dragon, Clare Rijo united the races against them and, in a conflict known as the War for the Dawn, defeated them and drove them back. They were then subsequently sealed away by the Fae. Although the Fallen faded into legend over the centuries, disturbing reports began to reach the Farstriders, just before the events of the War of the Five Nations. The return of the Fallen was confirmed during the Great Ranging undertaken by Ranger-General ___, and by an unprecedented attack by the fell army on the outlier settlement Vaodus. Despite pleas for support from the Farstriders, the rest of the Seven Kingdoms have turned a blind eye to the return of the Fallen, as they remain embroiled in their own civil wars, and most do not believe that they exist or ever existed, much like Giants and Fae.

[8:42 PM] Avedis Angelus: That's why I suggested breaking them into categories based off their race. [8:43 PM] Avedis Angelus: Then taking the race abilities that'll be up and altering them a bit. [8:16 PM] Avedis Angelus: we'd kinda need the other races to be done before the fallen are done, but generally they'd be broken down into racial categories. Obviously "Fallen Human, Fallen Mage, Fallen Were, Fallen Elf, Fallen Dragon, Fallen Vampire." Then we'd take the abilities the other races have, alter them so they fit onto a fallen, and voila.
